Robert “Bob” Vincent Grey was born July 20, 1930, in Langdon, to Gordon V. and Vivian
Williams Grey and passed away June 11, 2022, at Kingman.
The family moved to Kingman in sixth grade and Bob joined the National Guard his Junior year.
In 1949, he graduated from KHS. In 1951, he married LaVerne Brooks and was married for seventy-one years. She survives.
He was also a part-time bus driver for Kingman schools; a volunteer firefighter for fourteen years. Bob was owner of Phillips 66 at the corner of Main and U.S. 54 for several years with Elton Long until selling out in 1966. After a stint with Morton Feed and then a parts salesman and wrecker driver for Bob Gorham Motors.
In 1970, he bought Western Auto, became President of the Chamber of Commerce and Treasurer of the Kingman Christian Church. In 1977, he purchased G&G Grocery on North Main and in 1981 he sold all and moved to Texas for a year upon returning to Kingman.
He worked for Food-4-Less and Food Barn and retired working for Whites IGA.
Survived by his wife; daughter Marja and her husband David Dickard; son Lonnie; sister Carol Ravenstein. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Colleen, Joyce, Shirley; and brother Bill.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Kingman Christian Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Livingston Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
