Darrel Edward Brehm passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Pratt Regional Medical Center. He was 83. Darrel was born on June 23, 1939, in Pratt, to Edward Andrew Brehm and Edith Ilene (Dauner) Brehm.

He attended Pratt and Fairview (a two room country school) schools through the 8th grade. He then attended Pratt High School, graduating May 1957, and Pratt Community College graduating in May 1959.

In January 1959, Darrel married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Randle. They lived in Pratt one year before moving to the farm where they lived the rest of their lives.

Darrel was currently a farmer and stockman, retiring from his income tax preparation business in 2007. He was a member of the Glendale United Methodist Church and attended the Pratt First United Methodist Church. He was a board member of the Pratt County Historical Museum and a member of the Pratt Jaycees and Elks. He served as a board member of the Kanza Cooperative for 24 years. Darrel had a lifelong hobby of HO scale model railroad collecting and belonged to the Southwest Kansas Railroad Society.

Darrel is survived by two sons, Steve (Mary) Brehm of Pratt, and Doug Brehm of Wichita; two granddaughters, Hannah (Quentin) Jacobson of Pratt, and Ellie (Derek) McClure of Stafford; one great-granddaughter, Andromeda Jacobson of Pratt; a sister, Shirley (Garry) Baker of Stafford; and many nieces and nephews. Darrel was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sharon Brehm.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Nicole Schwartz-Eck presiding. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.&nbsp;&nbsp;

She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church until it closed and then transferred her membership to Pratt Free Methodist Church. She was a former member of American Baptist Women. She enjoyed reading, movies, gardening, cooking, baking, studying God's word and kept a thank you journal for many years. Wilma Ruth Harms of Newton was born on June 2, 1924 to Isaac and Emma Balzer and died on July 24, 2022 at the age of 98. She was the youngest of five children, growing up on a farm in rural Whitewater. She was baptized on June 1, 1944 at Grace Hill Church where she was an active lifelong member.

Wilma graduated from Whitewater High School. On October 22, 1944 she married her high school sweetheart, Willis Harms, and together they farmed in rural Whitewater until his death in 1970, She leaned on her faith in God to carry her through the rest of her life, reading her Bible and praying faithfully.

Wilma and Willis were married for 25 years and were blessed with three children: Gary, Jane and James Kelly.

In 1974, Wilma moved to Newton and began working at Presbyterian Manor and later at United Office Supplies. She loved to travel and took many trips across the country, taking pictures and collecting souvenirs. She loved her family, enjoyed their times together, and was always interested in their lives and activities. Wilma was the kind of person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Reading the Bible and Billy Graham books were two of her favorite pastimes.

Survivors include her son Gary Harms and wife Linda of rural Whitewater, daughter Jane Washburn and husband Tom of rural Newton, daughter-in-law Cindy Harms of rural Newton, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Willis Harms, her parents Isaac and Emma Balzer, her son James Kelly Harms, her sisters Betty Harms and Laura Janzen and her brothers Art Balzer and Ray Balzer.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 1st, 2022 at Grace Hill Mennonite Church in rural Whitewater. There will be a private family burial.&nbsp;

N. Bryant Andrews, Jr., 75, of McPherson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at McPherson Health &amp; Rehab.&nbsp; He worked in the grain business and retail paint industry.

Bryant was born on August 5, 1946, in Hastings, NE, the son of Neil Bryant Andrews, Sr. and Donna Mae (Marymee) Andrews.&nbsp; He graduated high school from Hastings, NE in 1964 and attended the University of Nebraska.&nbsp; Bryant was united in marriage to Susan Holt on October 15, 1965, and this union was blessed with two sons, Todd and Tyson.&nbsp; On July 19, 1975, he married Jennifer Zuellner, and this union was blessed with three children, Selena, Kim, and Geoff.

Survivors include: four children, Todd Andrews (Kristy) of Las Vegas, NV, Selena Andrews (Ed Webb) of McPherson, Kim Seib (Cody) of Hays, and Geoff Andrews (Valerie) of Salina; brothers, Stephen Andrews (Ann) of Montevideo, MN, Bradley Andrews of Waverly, NE, and Scott Andrews of Waverly, NE; aunt, Delores Eades of Wichita; and seven grandchildren, Andrew Costello, Jonah Clarke, Elijah Clarke, Reid Andrews, Sutton Seib, Holdyn Seib, and Hudson Seib.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Tyson Andrews.

She was born March 23, 1937, at Penalosa, the daughter of John and Lillian Jones Evans.&nbsp; A lifetime resident of the Kingman community, she was a former switchboard operator for SW Bell and a retired cook for USD 331.

Donna was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the Daughters of Isabella, all of Kingman.

On May 31, 1958, she married Lewis L. Noblit; he died Aug. 23, 1996.&nbsp; Survivors include two sons, Jim and his wife Carol, and Ray; daughter Ginger Robinson; sister Sr. Norma Lee Evans BVM; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.&nbsp; She was also preceded in death by a son Mike “Knothead”; a brother John Evans; and sister Sr. MaryAnn Evans BVM.

Arlyce Gae Brennan, 74, went to Heaven on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at North Point Skilled Nursing Center, Paola. Gae was born June 26, 1948, in Nampa, Idaho,&nbsp;the daughter of Arlus G. and Aletta M. Pippett Edwards.&nbsp; &nbsp;She graduated from Council Bluffs High School in 1965.&nbsp; Gae was a florist for Kay’s Floral in Hutchinson and Riverside Floral in Emporia.&nbsp; On June 4, 1965, Gae married Gary Brennan in Council Bluffs, Iowa.&nbsp; He survives. &nbsp;Gae loved to make people laugh and she didn’t know a stranger.&nbsp; When she could no longer do flower arrangements, she made people feel special by creating and sending them cards. Reese graduated from Buhler High School in 2018. He had worked for Bornholdt Plantland and Richard Gibbs Construction. Reese enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, spending time on the family farm, hunting for arrowheads, and playing video games.&nbsp;

He is survived by: his mother, Neoshea Goering and stepfather, Nick Goering of Hutchinson; brothers, Trace Bergman of Hutchinson; Kegan Gibson of Anthony; sister, Gretchen Gibson of Anthony; step-siblings, Michael, Kaden, Gage, Jenna, and Sheldon Goering of Hutchinson; stepbrother, Jonathan Johnson of Anthony; grandmother, Kris Wimmer of Bluff City; step-grandparents, Mark and Carolyn Goering of Pretty Prairie; and many extended family members.

Beverly Ann (Mull) Elliott, age 72 of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022. She was born in Goessel, on January 30, 1950, to Oliver and Frances (Frick) Unruh. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Durham. She loved the joy of family and her grandkids, with the most recent addition of her great grandchild. She was a devoted daughter, sister and mother. She had a passion for reading and crocheting. Beverly is preceded in death by her father, Oliver Unruh and brother Sidney Unruh. She is survived by her mother Frances (Frick) Unruh, her two sons and daughter, Tony &amp; Lynette Mull, Jamie &amp; Traci Mull, Paul &amp; Chrystal (Mull) Ainsworth. Beverly Ann (Mull) Elliott, age 72 of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022. She was born in Goessel, on January 30, 1950, to Oliver and Frances (Frick) Unruh. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Durham. She loved the joy of family and her grandkids, with the most recent addition of her great grandchild. She was a devoted daughter, sister and mother. She had a passion for reading and crocheting. Beverly is preceded in death by her father, Oliver Unruh and brother Sidney Unruh. She is survived by her mother Frances (Frick) Unruh, her two sons and daughter, Tony &amp; Lynette Mull, Jamie &amp; Traci Mull, Paul &amp; Chrystal (Mull) Ainsworth. Six grandchildren, Christopher &amp; Andrea Mull, Cole Mull, Marcus Mull, Nicholas Ainsworth, Austin Ainsworth, Alec Ainsworth and one great grandchild, Jameson Mull. Cassandra "Cassi "Ellen Rinke, 62, passed away July 21, 2022 at the Pratt Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 3, 1960 in Pratt to Harold Dean and Francine (Honeman) Rose.

Cassie graduated Skyline High School in 1978. She received her Associates at Pratt Community College She attended McPherson College and Fort Hays State University. She received her Bachelors Degree from Wichita State University Education. Cassi taught in several schools in the area and also in Texas. She was a member of the Reach Church, Pratt and the Ashland Ministries Round Up Saturday Night, in Cullison. She enjoyed Walking, Staying busy with the children at school and helping people. The special Olympics was very close to her heart.

She is survived by Son, Ryan (Mary Vandenbark, fiance) Rinke of Wichita; Daughter, Elizabeth Rinke of Pratt; Brother, Joseph "Josh" (Anita) Rose of Pratt; Two Nephews, Connor Rose of Pratt, Derek Rose of Pratt; . Kajaw J. Griffith, age 49, died July 20, 2022 in Newton. He was the son of Daniel Griffith and Dianna Gatewood.

Kajaw was born May 25, 1973 in Superior, Nebraska.

Moving to Newton, Kajaw worked and provided for his daughter Ally Griffith. It was while he was living in Newton that he met Priscilla Jordan and the two were happily married February 14, 2022 in Newton. The two would go on to enjoy the precious moments they had together.

Kajaw enjoyed many hobbies and loved helping people in need. He would go on to help establish the Louis Oxford House and the Beverly Oxford House. He took great pride in helping others recover from substance abuse, and through his great work, he was able to achieve and maintain a high-level member status at the Oxford House Alumni. While helping others brought him great joy, nothing meant more to him than his daughter. She was the very center of his universe and simply being with her brought him joy.

To his family he also held a special place in all of their hearts. Not only was he a sibling, son or father, he was also the man of the family. He was always there for them to offer advice, help or just a hug whenever it was needed. Kajaw stepped into the role when he lost his father and was able to help support his family in the same way his father did.

Kajaw is preceded in death by his father Daniel.

Kajaw is survived by his wife Priscilla, daughter Ally, sisters, Karie Griffith and Jenaka Kelly. He is survived by his niece and nephew, Gavin and Grace Kelly and many friends who were like family to Kajaw.

Julia Cecile Keesling died on Friday, July 22, 2022. Born October 17, 1931, at Sterling, Julie was the daughter of George Harold and Velma Ione Underwood Bruer. She was a 1950 graduate of Hutchinson High School and a 1973 graduate of McPherson Licensed Practical School of Nursing.&nbsp;

On August 29, 1950, Julie married Lyle W. McKinney in the South Hutchinson Methodist Church. To this union was born three sons, Michael, David, and Tim. Later on August 10, 1979, Julie married Harvey E. Keesling, in Sylvia. Harvey passed away on March 17, 2005.&nbsp;

Julie was a former member of the Methodist Churches&nbsp; in South Hutchinson, Arlington, Lerado, and Sylvia. She also attended Sylvia and Penalosa Churches of Christ. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge for over 60 years, the Lucky Circle Sewing Club in Arlington, and was Kanza Council den mother for Cub and Boy Scouts. In March of 1972, Julie was awarded the Silver Fawn by the Kanza Council Boy Scouts of America, the highest honor bestowed upon a scouting volunteer. She was also a member of the Sylvia Ladies Auxiliary.

Julie’s first job was working at Shrum’s Cafe in Hutchinson, while she was in high school, where she met Maxine Albright, who became her sister-in-law and lifelong friend. Next she worked at Ferguson’s Jewelry in the 1950’s, followed by taking off 10 years to be a housewife and mother. During this time she helped her father-in-law Vernal McKinney with the family farm. In 1966 Julie became the kitchen manager at Fairfield High School, and she held this job until 1972. After Julie became a nurse, she worked at the Stafford Hospital from 1973 until 1984. She retired from nursing to help Harvey on the farm. Later in life she babysat several children of Fairfield teachers.

Julie loved life and she loved her family. Her mom taught her to sew in the 1930’s and she enjoyed sewing and quilting for as long as she could see to do it. Many family members have been blessed with her quilts of love. There is no way to count the number of dresses that Julie made for relatives and friends. As a child of the depression, Julie also learned to can, grow food, and cook to help keep up with her family of 11 siblings. She loved to cook, and was excellent at it, as her sons and grandsons can attest. One of her later interests in life was genealogy and this involved research trips across the country with Dan, Bonnie, and her sister Martha. She loved to tell stories about those trips. Julie loved every single holiday and went all out to decorate and make it special for her loved ones. Christmas was at the top of the list and her presents always piled up over halfway up the tree. She loved giving more than anything! And then there was her love of watching sports, especially her grandsons, as well as attending the National Junior College Basketball Tournaments in Hutchinson each year with Harvey.

Julie is survived by her sons and their wives: Michael and Pamela McKinney of Elizabeth, Colorado; David McKinney of Carl Junction, Missouri; and Tim and Betsy McKinney of Sylvia. She had six grandsons, Denny (&amp; Monica), Michael (&amp; Michelle)&nbsp; Ethan, Eli, Jace, and Jared (&amp; Sara.). She had seven great-grandchildren: Jason, Bayley, Jessie, Logan, Gabriel, Grayson, and Jackson, and one great-great granddaughter named Adelei.

Julie was preceded in death by all 10 of her siblings and their spouses. Services are at Minnis Chapel in Stafford, on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 10 am, with burial following at Lerado Cemetery..&nbsp;

David Gene Griffin, 74, of Hutchinson, died July 22, 2022, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice House, in Wichita. He was born September 12, 1947, in Hutchinson, to Harold and Peggy (Winkler) Griffin Jr.

Dave graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1965, and went on to earn his degree from Hutchinson Community College. In 1967, he began his service in the United States Army. Dave was an officer for the Hutchinson Police Department and Reno County Sheriff’s Department, retiring in 2004. He belonged to FOP and was a commander for American Legion Lysle Rishel Post 68.

On January 17, 1969, Dave married Edith Lee Stockwell, in Pratt. They shared 53 years together.

He is survived by: wife, Edith Griffin, Hutchinson; daughters, Dawn Gresham (Larry), Benton, Angela Davenport (Jason), Hutchinson; grandchildren, Nicholas Showalter, Kaitlin Showalter, Abigale Davenport, and Griffin Davenport.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Griffin.

Funeral service will be 10 am Friday, July 29, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary. &nbsp;Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard. Mike’s life began on November 21, 1930, at home, in Antelope. He was the son of Alvin “Bud” and Verna (Bass) Loveless. 

Mike attended school in both Lincolnville and Marion. He was a member of the United States Army from 1953 until 1955. During his time in Army, Mike came home to marry LaVona Weathers on January 14, 1954, in Marion. The couple enjoyed 68 years of marriage. 

Mike was a farmer and rancher. He and LaVona raised sheep and grew crops at their Antelope farm. Mike also worked in the oilfields for a few companies and with his father-in-law. He was a member of American Legion Post 347 in Lincolnville and had been a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. Mike was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors hunting and camping. He and LaVona enjoyed attending the Walnut Valley Blue Grass Festival as much as they could. 

He is survived by his loving wife LaVona of Marion, children Judy (Roy) Houdyshell of Lincolnville, David Loveless of Lincolnville, and Tamara Suffield of Marion; grandchildren Sara (Randall) Batman, Michelle Loveless, Matthew Loveless, Alisha Loveless, Nikki (Ryan) Van Wort, Dustin (Kara) Suffield and Roxi (Rob) Santamaria; 14 great grandchildren and his sister Thelma Green of Whitewater. Mike passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday July 23, 2022, at his home. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Saundra Loveless, granddaughter Carissa Houdyshell and sister Bessie Loveless. 

His family will gather with friends on Friday July 29th&nbsp;at 11 a.m. for Mike’s memorial service at Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Marion. &nbsp;Masks are suggested for the service. Mike will be laid to rest in Lincolnville Cemetery with military honors.&nbsp;

Kay F. Scheel, 69, of Hutchinson, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at her home.&nbsp;&nbsp; She was born March 16, 1953 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Clarence and Mabel (Woods) Mattison.

She graduated from Hutchinson High School with the class of 1971.&nbsp; Kay later graduated from cosmetology school.&nbsp; She worked as a hairdresser since the age of 19, later owning and operating her own shop for over 40 years.&nbsp; She owned Kay’s Kountry Kut out of her home in Hutchinson.

Kay was a member of Bethany Church of the Nazarene in Hutchinson.&nbsp; She also worked at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community as their hairdresser for 25 years, and Kay served on the Sunshine Meadows board.

Kay was united in marriage to Ronald Scheel on November 22, 1991 in Hutchinson.&nbsp; He survives of the home after almost 31 years of marriage.

Other survivors include her five children, Shane (Steve) Scheel-Rosenberg of Los Angeles, CA; Dawn (Anouar) Scheel-Bhiri of Austin, TX; Nathan (Bianca) San Miguel-Guy of Pflugerville, TX; Amanda Guy of Hutchinson; and Brynn (Seth) Findley of Austin, TX; nine grandchildren; sister, Patty (Stephen) Johnson of Buhler; and two nephews, Richard Johnson and Dustin Rice.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Chad Eugene Guy; one granddaughter; and three siblings.

Patricia C. Cheatham, 84, of Wichita, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.&nbsp; She was born October 25, 1937 in McPherson, the daughter of Orlie D. and Hazel (Becker) Becker.

She graduated from Galva High School with the class of 1956.

Patricia was united in marriage to Val Rhys Cheatham in 1957.&nbsp; They later divorced but remained close at heart.

Patricia was a homemaker, devoted to her children and family. &nbsp;She cherished the time spent with them, especially during the holidays.&nbsp; She was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church in Wichita.

She was an author of novels and poetry.&nbsp; Other outlets of her creativity were arts and crafts.&nbsp; She performed with Sweet Adeline’s Chorus.

Patricia C. Cheatham, 84, of Wichita, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.&nbsp; She was born October 25, 1937 in McPherson, the daughter of Orlie D. and Hazel (Becker) Becker.She graduated from Galva High School with the class of 1956.Patricia was united in marriage to Val Rhys Cheatham in 1957.&nbsp; They later divorced but remained close at heart.Patricia was a homemaker, devoted to her children and family. &nbsp;She cherished the time spent with them, especially during the holidays.&nbsp; She was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church in Wichita.She was an author of novels and poetry.&nbsp; Other outlets of her creativity were arts and crafts.&nbsp; She performed with Sweet Adeline’s Chorus.She is survived by her two children, Mark (Pam) Cheatham of LaPorte, CO, and Valerhy (Boyd) Powers of Forsyth, MO; sister, Faylene (Garland) Koehn of Walker, MO; two grandchildren, Jennifer Rader, and Alex (Annie) Cheatham, both of Ft. Sweet Ole Bill (SOB) died July 21, 2022 in Hutchinson, KS after a short illness. He was 87 years old; he was born December 15, 1934 in Offerle, Kansas to Adam Frank and Viola (Goad) Roepka.

He attended Offerle schools and graduated high school as the co-valedictorian in the graduating class of three students. He married Judy A. Bentley in November of 1954; they were blessed with four children. They later divorced in 1975. He married Gwendolyn Taylor on April 9, 1976. She survives along with his children: Bill Jr. (Sheila) of Denton, Texas; Greg (Sue) and Tom (Donna) of Hutchinson and his favorite daughter Cynthia Hart (Dale) of Pueblo, Colorado. Other survivors include stepdaughters Winnie Graves of Marysville, Washington and Diana LeValley of Fort Myers, Florida and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, greatgreat grandchildren and “adopted” Nickerson grandchildren.

Bill was the youngest of six children; he was proceeded in death by all of his older siblings, stepson Rufus Taylor and his favorite dog Patches. He was a four year US Navy veteran; following his honorable discharge in 1957, he and his family settled in Nickerson, Kansas where he became plant manager for the Western Supply Co. air conditioning manufacturing facility until it closed in the early 1970’s. After the plant closure, he owned businesses including the Bob Inn Tavern where he was lovingly tagged with his acronym “SOB”; he also worked as a tradesman and finished his career when he retired as a supervisor for KDOT after 14 years. His first retirement was short as he dedicated his invaluable time to helping his son Greg found Stainless Systems Inc. in South Hutchinson; he finally retired permanently in 2001. Bill’s favorite hobby was woodworking; he enjoyed gifting his creations to friends and relatives until the accidental removal and reattachment of his right thumb. At that time Gwen banned him from using large power tools.

Bill loved Nickerson, Kansas, where he lived all of his adult life and served on many civic boards and the volunteer fire department where he proudly proclaimed “they saved every foundation”.

A small graveside service will be held at a later date due to the fact that most of his friends and older relatives already beat him to the pearly gates. The time and location will be announced on Facebook.

Donald D. Wornkey, age 86, passed away on July 20, 2022 at Kenwood Plaza, St. John.  He was born on Jan. 10, 1936 in Caney. The son of Roy D. and Maxine (Kilgore) Wornkey. 

 He had previously farmed and worked at St. John National Bank. He was a retired maintenance supervisor and bus driver for USD-350 Schools and a St. John resident since 1966.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, former Sunday School teacher serving on various Church Boards, Second Mile Food Bank and the St. John Lions Club. 

 On Mar. 17, 1954 he married Marlene M. (Pohlman) at Lewistown, Montana, she survives.  Other survivors include a son, Don Wornkey, Jr. (Aurie), Hutchinson; a daughter, Carolyn Boles (Kent), Wichita; four brothers, Jerry Wornkey, Scottsbluff, NE; Tom Wornkey (Chris) Ellinwood; Steve Wornkey, Ellinwood; Tim Wornkey (Pam) Ellinwood; a sister, Pam Nowak, Holcomb; three grandchildren, Angela McGuire (Clint), Travis Boles (Gayle), Garrett Wornkey (Brooke); 9 great grandchildren, Cali, Brendan, Hunter, Alexia, Madison, Katelyn, Reese, Creighton, Declan and one expected in Aug.  He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Jim Wornkey.

Glenda Jeanne Meyer, 85, of Little River, passed away July 20, 2022, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born January 5, 1937, in Wichita, the daughter of Glenn Francis and Ruby Doris Land Mustoe.

 Glenda has resided in Little River since 1973, formerly of Augusta. She graduated from Wichita East High School, and later received her bachelor’s degree in education from Wichita State University with the class of 1973. Glenda was a business teacher at Little River High School from 1973, until her retirement in 1998. She attended the First United Methodist Church, Little River. Glenda loved reading, animals and watching TV, and most of all spending time with her family. 

She is survived by her two children, Debra Swenson and husband Cecil of Lyons, and Craig Meyer of Wichita; aunt, Charlene Land of FL; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Glenda is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Tony and Michael Meyer; daughter, Melissa Meyer; and granddaughter, Audra Kelley.

Billy enjoyed fishing, collecting random interesting items and spending time with his kids and grandkids. 

He is survived by his son, Kenneth Brickley; daughter, Teresa McHenry (Joe Wilson); 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous family and friends. Billy is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Brickley, of 57 years; son, Timothy Brickley; brother, Danny Brickley and sister, Nancy Zimmerman.

Dale Jost (born Marvin Dale Jost) was born to Marvin Gerhard Jost and Rosella Franz Jost on June 28, 1944 in Reedley, CA. Dale grew up in a loving home and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was a teenager. Dale attended Hillsboro High School and later Tabor College in Hillsboro. In college he played basketball, studied finance, and worked on wheat harvest crews in the summers. While at Tabor he met the love of his life Katheryn Shirley Dick from Mountain Lake, MN. Upon graduating in 1966, Dale started his career in finance with the Kansas Department of Transportation. Later that year, Dale and Shirley were married on November 25 in Mountain Lake, MN. In 1974, they welcomed twin sons Travis and Bruce into the family. Dale’s professional career with KDOT (his sole employer) spanned 42 years, 6 months, and 6 days. He valued stewarding government resources to better the roadways of the state of Kansas. Dale and Shirley were longtime members of Cornerstone Community Church in Topeka, up until their relocation to Hesston, in 2014. While living in Hesston they enjoyed meeting new friends, reconnecting with seasoned friends and being closer to their children and grandchildren. In retirement, Dale enjoyed cooking, good coffee, discovering fine foods, organizing his records, leading the family book club, and attending any and all grandchildren activities. In June of 2022, he traveled with Shirley to visit their son Travis in Burundi, Africa. Dale was thrilled to see Travis in his environment and while there received the joy of Christ through the Burundi people. After an accidental fall, he had a successful surgery but succumbed to complications during the recovery. He died on June 22, 2022. A private burial service was conducted at French Creek Cemetery near Hillsboro. A Celebration of Life service will be at Ridgepoint Church in Wichita, on August 13, 2022 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to Tabor College, Multiply, or Mennonite Central Committee. Dale is survived by his wife Shirley, sons Travis and Bruce (Kimberlee), granddaughters Ella and Talia, sisters Loretta Neufeld (Gaylen) and Cheryl McJunkin (Larry), sisters-in-law Colleen Jost, Marion Graumann, and Verla Dick, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Gary Lane, 77, died July 14, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born December 23, 1944, in Wichita, to Phillip and Ruth (Evans) Martin.

Gary graduated high school and worked various jobs, including detailing cars.&nbsp; He enjoyed lifting weights and speed walking.&nbsp; Gary was of the Muslim faith, studying the Koran and teaching others about his faith.

Robert L. Hailey, 72, passed away on Tuesday, July 19th, 2022 in Valley Center. He was born in Strong City, to Charles (Bud) Hailey &amp; Ruth (Rich) Hailey. He grew up on a farm outside of Burdick, Kansas. After graduating High School he entered the Navy and was a sailor on the USS Henderson during the Vietnam War. He returned home to marry Patricia, start his family, and his career with the Santa Fe Railroad.

Bob was a believer in Christ, and raised his sons in the faith which has touched his grandchildren’s lives as well. After retiring Bob and Pat moved to Valley Center to be closer to Jason and their grandchildren. He enjoyed going to all kinds of events, but his favorite were the ones he got to cheer on his sons and grandchildren. He was a lifelong Jayhawk, Royals, and Chiefs fan. Bob always stayed busy with morning walks, tending to his lawn and garden, doing puzzles, watching country westerns, especially with John Wayne, and following his sports teams.&nbsp;

Robert was preceded in death by Charles &amp; Ruth Hailey (parents), Jared Hailey (son), Roberta Hailey (sister). He is survived by Patricia Hailey (spouse), Jason (Cristi) Hailey (son), Elijah, Lydia, &amp; Joshua Hailey (grandchildren), Nancy (Wayne) Hanson, Mary (Dennis) Wendt, Charlie (Rosemary) Hailey, and Howard (Ruth) Hailey, along with several nieces, nephews, &amp; cousins.

Richard Lyle Conner, 84, passed away on July 14, 2022 in St. John.&nbsp; He was born on February 11, 1938 to Harold Wilber and Goldie Pearl Conner (Dillan) in Wilsonville, Nebraska.&nbsp; 

Richard enjoyed tinkering with his projects, going to the senior center to play cards (preferably Pitch), going fishing and helping other farmers out during harvest season.&nbsp; He also owned his own mechanic shop and liked to put a 350 chevy engine in any type of vehicle.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Richard is survived by his sons, Randal West of St. John; and Gary Conner ( Starla) of Phillipsburg; daughters, Doris Cooper ( Starling) of Avon, Indiana; Mary Bohl ( significant other, Robert) of Drexel, Missouri; Tina Hursman ( Derrick) of Concordia, Missouri; brother-in-law, Bill Hofferber; sister, Lois Vandusen ( Dennis) of Kearney, Nebraska; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.&nbsp;

Richard Lyle Conner, 84, passed away on July 14, 2022 in St. John.&nbsp; He was born on February 11, 1938 to Harold Wilber and Goldie Pearl Conner (Dillan) in Wilsonville, Nebraska.&nbsp; Richard enjoyed tinkering with his projects, going to the senior center to play cards (preferably Pitch), going fishing and helping other farmers out during harvest season.&nbsp; He also owned his own mechanic shop and liked to put a 350 chevy engine in any type of vehicle.&nbsp;&nbsp;Richard is survived by his sons, Randal West of St. John; and Gary Conner ( Starla) of Phillipsburg; daughters, Doris Cooper ( Starling) of Avon, Indiana; Mary Bohl ( significant other, Robert) of Drexel, Missouri; Tina Hursman ( Derrick) of Concordia, Missouri; brother-in-law, Bill Hofferber; sister, Lois Vandusen ( Dennis) of Kearney, Nebraska; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.&nbsp;He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jay Allen Conner; daughter, Maranda Kester; and siblings, Fran Hofferber of Lexington, Darryl, Dean, and Dale Conner.&nbsp;
