Reese Daniel Gibson, 22, of Hutchinson, died July 23, 2022, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, in Wichita, after a long battle with leukemia (AML). He was born August 11, 1999, in Wichita, to Daniel J. Gibson and Neoshea L. (Warren) Goering.
Reese graduated from Buhler High School in 2018. He had worked for Bornholdt Plantland and Richard Gibbs Construction. Reese enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, spending time on the family farm, hunting for arrowheads, and playing video games.
He is survived by: his mother, Neoshea Goering and stepfather, Nick Goering of Hutchinson; brothers, Trace Bergman of Hutchinson; Kegan Gibson of Anthony; sister, Gretchen Gibson of Anthony; step-siblings, Michael, Kaden, Gage, Jenna, and Sheldon Goering of Hutchinson; stepbrother, Jonathan Johnson of Anthony; grandmother, Kris Wimmer of Bluff City; step-grandparents, Mark and Carolyn Goering of Pretty Prairie; and many extended family members.
Reese was preceded in death by: his father, Daniel Gibson; grandfather, Seth Warren; grandparents, Gregory and Barbara Gibson; and great-grandparents, Bill and Deloris Wimmer.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, at Crossroads Christian Church, 4310 N. Monroe, Hutchinson, with Pastor Kevin Guffey officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
