David Leroy Beachy, 84, passed away on September 10, 2025, at Kenwood View Health and Rehabilitation Center, Salina, KS. David was born on May 31, 1941, in Hutchinson, KS, the son of David M. and Susie (Borntrager) Beachy.

David graduated from Hesston High School and attended Hesston College where he also played basketball. He received his bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Denver. He was a social worker in Denver, CO and was the owner of Moon Mist Hotel in Meade, KS. He was the director of Children’s Choir and did missionary work in the Philippines for over 25 years. David was a Broncos and Chiefs fan. On September 3, 1999, David married Magdalina “Maggie” Hora in the Philippines.

He is proceeded in death by his parents; brothers, Vernon, Alvin and Calvin Beachy; and a sister Nina Lee.

David is survived by his wife, Maggie Beachy; seven children, Jamie (Wael) Garas, Kristy (Dan) Beachy-Quick, Rebecca Beachy, Reden (Alexus) Beachy, Edison (Jornalyn) Beachy, David Joseph Beachy and Susie Beachy; a sister, Mary Ellen Diener; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral Services&nbsp; will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Terry Danford officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral chapel. The burial will take place in the Yoder Cemetery, Yoder, KS. David J. Clark, 84, of South Hutchinson, died September 10, 2025, at Mennonite Friendship Communities. He was born December 26, 1940, in Oakley, KS, the son of Cecil and Thelma (Fisher) Clark.

Dave attended Plainville High School. He worked at Namee Wholesale, Consolidated Mfg., and&nbsp;RCAT. Dave retired as a Durham School bus driver and attendant. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church. Dave served in the Kansas Army National Guard from 1962-1968.

Dave was an avid sports follower, especially the KU Jayhawks, KC Chiefs, and Hutchinson High School. He was always interested to hear how the grandkids were doing.

Dave is survived by: wife, Doris Schadler-Clark; son, David (Cindy) Clark of Hutchinson; daughters, Julie (Terry) Bland of Kaw City, OK, Tina (Stanley) Martin of Fredonia, FL; 8 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; bonus children, Nancy Thomas of Kechi, Melanie Hefton of Hutchinson, Rhonda (Arley) Philbrick of Hutchinson, Melvin (Donna) Schadler of Sterling; 7 bonus grandchildren; 20 bonus great-grandchildren; and 3 bonus great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Delmar and Clinton.

Per his request, cremation has taken place and a private family inurnment was held.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Tim Adrian officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Kansas Army National Guard Honor Guard.

Darla D. Neal, 83, died September 8, 2025, at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson. &nbsp;She was born January 22, 1942, in Newton, to Luther D. and Gladys M. (Hatch) McJilton. &nbsp;

Darla graduated from Newton High School in 1959, and the University of Kansas in 1963, with her Bachelor of Science degree. &nbsp;Darla was an outstanding debater in high school and college (this won’t surprise anyone who knew her). &nbsp; As a senior in high school, she and her partner took runner-up at state after beating her future husband, John, in the semi-finals. &nbsp;Darla was offered a scholarship to debate at KU. &nbsp; She was named KU’s Outstanding Debater her freshman year. &nbsp;While at KU, Darla was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta where she met many of her lifelong friends. &nbsp;She also participated in Rock Chalk Revue. &nbsp;&nbsp;

It was also at KU where she met the first love of her life, John Neal. &nbsp; Darla &amp; John knew each other from debate &amp; forensics competitions in high school. &nbsp;Her sophomore year she agreed to go on a “blind date” only after learning that it was with John. &nbsp;Darla and John got engaged on Christmas Eve their senior year in college and were married on July 20, 1963 in Newton. &nbsp;Shortly after their wedding, Darla &amp; John moved to Madrid, Spain for a year while John was studying abroad on the Fulbright Scholarship. &nbsp;While in Madrid, Darla taught English at the American School and Berlitz Language School. Upon arriving back in the United States, Darla taught middle school and high school English &amp; Social Studies before they had children.

In 1969, Darla and John moved to Hutchinson, KS, where she lived the rest of her life. Darla was a major advocate for Hutchinson, Hutchinson schools, and numerous community projects and organizations. &nbsp; She served as President of Reno County’s American Cancer Society, President of Leukemia &amp; Lymphoma Society, President of Hutchinson Community Foundation, President of the Hutchinson PTA, President of Wesley Towers Board of Directors, and served 12 years on the USD 308 Board of Education with two stints as president. &nbsp;She participated in Leadership Kansas, Leadership Hutchinson, &amp; received the Altrusa Community Leadership Award in 2007. &nbsp;She was a member of P. E. O. Chapter BY and Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson. She also started three successful businesses in three totally non-related industries!

Darla was a teacher, entrepreneur, consultant, artist, and business owner, but her proudest title was “mom”. &nbsp;After Darla &amp; John’s first son, Michael, was born in 1968, every day her number one focus was her children. &nbsp;Never was this more apparent than after Michael was diagnosed with leukemia and during his subsequent treatment. &nbsp;Although Michael passed away in 1972, Darla was impacted by the experience after seeing the “good” in so many people who wanted to help and support Michael &amp; their family. &nbsp; Darla carried that emphasis and focus with her the rest of her life. &nbsp;The only title that was in contention with “mom” for her favorite was “Nana”. &nbsp;She was an incredible force, constant champion, and #1 fan for each and every one of her children &amp; grandchildren. &nbsp;It was never about her and always about making the world better for others. Darla’s goal was to make an impact, be an advocate, and leave her mark on Hutchinson, Reno County, and the lives of her family &amp; everyone she met. &nbsp;

John died September 4, 2005, after they shared 42 years of marriage. &nbsp;On a riverboat trip to Ukraine in 2007, Darla was fortunate enough to meet the second love of her life, Stanley Wingate. &nbsp; Darla &amp; Stan were married on April 19, 2008, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson. &nbsp;Both had endured the heartbreak of losing their first spouses to cancer and felt incredibly blessed to find a second love who they could share their lives with. &nbsp; Even after being separated when Darla was moved into Memory Care at Wesley Towers, Stan would walk over to her room everyday so they could spend the day together. &nbsp;Darla &amp; Stan enjoyed 17 years of marriage. &nbsp;

Darla is survived by: husband, Stanley Wingate of Hutchinson; sons, David Neal (Karin) of Hutchinson and Matthew Neal of Rose Hill; grandchildren, Jack Neal, Katherine Neal, Benjamin Neal, and Andrew G. Neal, Jaden Neal, Andrew L. Neal, and Elizabeth Neal; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: &nbsp;her parents; husband, John Neal; son Michael John Neal; and sisters, Kay Lachenmayr, Loretta Bowersock, Shirley Gates, and Barbara Fabic.

Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2025, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1602 N. Main, Hutchinson. Loretta Jean Fosnight, 68, went to meet her Savior on September 5, 2025, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born July 11, 1957, in Hutchinson to Calvin C. and Verna Lee (Jones) Lantz.

Loretta was a 1975 graduate of Hutchinson High School. During high school she met Richard Fosnight, the love of her life. They were married on February 7, 1976, Hutchinson. &nbsp;In December of 1977 they started their family and were blessed with 4 kids over the next 15 years. &nbsp;Eventually their kids started marrying and having their own families. She cherished and loved her husband, kids, grandkids, and one great grandson so very much.&nbsp;

Most of all, Loretta loved the Lord. She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Hutchinson. Throughout her life she was involved in Busy Bee Bible Club, children’s church, VBS, small groups, and reading her Bible and other spiritual books, especially archelogy. She also really enjoyed gardening, creating miniature doll houses and furnishings, and reading. Loretta had so much fun researching and digging into her family’s genealogy; tracing it back for many, many generations.

She was preceded in death by: her parents Calvin and Verna Lantz and Aunt Virginia Jones.

Diana Jean Strawn, 81, of Hutchinson, KS, died Monday, September 8, 2025 at Pleasant View Home in Inman, KS. She was born August 10, 1944, in Hutchinson, KS, to Doyal McVey and Evelyn M. Yutzy (Whitecotton.)

On November 24, 1961, she married Donald Wayne Strawn, in Hutchinson, KS.

Diana graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1962. Immediately starting her family at the young age of 18. She brought 4 beautiful children into this world, Wayne Alan Strawn, Michael Bryant Strawn, Cristina Angela Dosch, and Mark Andrew Strawn. From those children, she was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. For the first 14 years of her marriage, she was a stay-at-home house wife, and amazing mother, then in 1975, she and Don ventured into the world of owning their own business, opening up, Don’s Car Care and Body Shop in Hutchinson, KS. Diana helped manage the overall business and did all the book work for the business. In 1998, her and Don divorced. After the divorce, Diana worked another job for a short time, and then retired.

Since Diana had started her family so soon after graduating high school, she decided to go back to school to further her education. On May 12, 2000, she proudly graduated from Hutchinson Community College with her Associates in Arts Degree.

Diana loved having family get togethers at her house and loved spoiling her grand kids, especially at Christmas time. During her retirement, she was blessed with the opportunity to babysit her first born, great-grandson, Easton, which brought so much joy into her world. She thrived on seeing her great grand kids, even to her last day on earth, she was blessed with a visit from little Ann Dee, Darby’s oldest daughter. We are convinced, that visit was what put Diana at peace to pass the very next morning at 8:20 a.m. She was such a great mother, grand-mother, and great-grandmother, so very loving!

Diana enjoyed all the family fun on the sand dunes in Waynoka, OK, in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. She also enjoyed traveling to Santa Fe, NM, and Colorado for the skiing adventures and Jeep rides in the mountains. Her favorite travel time was the visits to see Mike and Nancy and their 3 beautiful children. Every chance she got, she hopped on a plane to visit her family. Diana also stepped out of her box, totally surprising her family and ventured into the world of karate, starting lessons of self defense at the Hutchinson School of Karate and Self Defense. She trained tirelessly for years under Sam Price and in 1982, she achieved her brown belt. Such a proud moment for her and also her family. In addition, in her spare time, she enjoyed the peace of reading books.

Diana is survived by: her children, Michael B. (Nancy) Strawn of Roswell, GA, Cristina A. (Joseph) Dosch of Hutchinson, KS, and Mark A. Strawn (Kerrie) of Pretty Prairie, KS; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Strawn of Hutchinson, KS; &nbsp;siblings, Barbara K. (John) Hirst of Holyrood, KS, William D. McVey of Jacksonville, NC, Rhonda J. Yutzy of Hutchinson, KS, and Roger E. (Debbie) Yutzy of Hutchinson, KS; half-sister, Violet Mae McVey; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Doyal McVey and Evelyn M. Yutzy; son, Wayne A. Strawn; brothers, Gary L. McVey and Roy D. Yutzy; and half-siblings, Ethel E. McVey, Doyle A. McVey, and Larry D. McVey.

Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th Ave, with Father Ned Blick officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. Family will greet friends an hour prior to the service.

Marvin Edward Green, 91 1/2, was born on March 1, 1934, to Kenneth Edward and Ruth Alma (Reasoner) Green, at his grandparent’s home in Hill City, Kansas. He passed away peacefully at Legend of Hutchinson Senior Living in Hutchinson, KS, on September 6, 2025.

As a young boy, Marvin moved with his family to Downs, KS, where he graduated from high school in 1952. Although he seldom spoke of it, he was an athlete at Downs, and later played semi-pro baseball, as shortstop. After graduation, he attended the College of Emporia, intent on teaching. Sometime during his senior year, he determined teaching was not for him and left without graduating. Subsequent army service was cut short by a car accident in 1961, which resulted in the loss of his left eye. He was honorably discharged in 1962.

He married Joy Ellen Morrison on November 30, 1968. Together they raised two sons, Richard Joseph (RJ) of Edwardsville, KS, and Scott Hayden. Scott preceded him in death in 1993 as did Joy in 2004.

On December 6, 2009, Marvin married Lana Jo Sibley in Gardner, KS. She survives as do RJ, and two brothers, Allan of Ottawa, KS, and Larry (Nancy) of Salina, KS. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Holly R. Ross, of Belton, MO, and two Great Grandchildren. Also surviving are stepdaughter Jamie Baker (Jeremy) of Hutchinson, KS, and two step grandchildren.

Marvin and Joy lived in Spring Hill, KS, for many years, raising cattle on the farm in Johnson County. He also worked for several different enterprises in the Spring Hill area before becoming an owner of an Air Freight business. He retired at 70 and sold the farm in 2008.

He and Lana made their home in Paola until earlier this year when they relocated to Hutchinson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at&nbsp; Bruce Funeral Home in Spring Hill on September 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Care has been entrusted to Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, Hutchinson, KS.&nbsp;

Barbara J. Keefer, 89, died September 7, 2025, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. &nbsp;She was born July 11, 1936, in McPherson, to Delbert F. and Luella (Buehler) Wilkinson. &nbsp;

Barbara graduated from McPherson High School in 1954, and received her degree in nursing from Fort Scott Community College. She worked as a as a registered nurse in Hutchinson before staying home full-time after the birth of her son, David. &nbsp;Barbara enjoyed working in her immaculate yard and tending to her flowers. &nbsp;As a natural born caregiver, she was always ready and willing to help out her family and friends. &nbsp;Above all, family meant everything to Barbara. &nbsp;She was a member of P.E.O. and First Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson.

On April 4, 1959, she married Kenneth A. Keefer, in Hutchinson. &nbsp;He died January 19, 2019, after they shared almost 60 years of marriage.

Barbara is survived by: &nbsp;son, David Keefer (Susan) of Shawnee; grandchildren, Thialan Logan, Grace Keefer, Emma Keefer, Cameron Keefer, and Anna Keefer; great-grandchildren, Josie Raya, T.J. Logan, and Nia Logan; sister-in-law, Connie Bula (Mick); and nieces and nephews, B.J. Jennings, Ann Jennings, Bob Jennings, Brad Swisher, and Drew Swisher.

She was preceded in death by: &nbsp;her parents; stepfather, Royal Sipe; daughter, Krista A. Williams; and a sister, Donna Jennings.

Donna Harper - Dirks, 97, of Hutchinson, passed away September 7, 2025, at Wesley&nbsp;Towers, in Hutchinson, KS after a brief illness. She was born April 18th, 1928, in Hutchinson, KS to Earl and Clara Feese. &nbsp;

Donna graduated from Hutchinson High School 1945. Donna lived most of her life in Hutchinson working for Southwestern Bell Telephone and later as a PBX operator at Cessna Fluid Power. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary #68 and a member of Park Place Christian Church. &nbsp;

She married Brad Harper in 1946 after he returned from the war. He passed&nbsp;in 1988. She then married Leonard Dirks in 1993 and he passed in 2007. &nbsp;

Donna is survived by one son Steven B. Harper (Karen) of Goodyear, &nbsp;Arizona. Two Stepdaughters, Jo Martin (Dan) of Salina, KS and Jan Moore (Doug) of Emporia, Kansas. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. &nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Rodney and&nbsp;Larry Feese, and stepdaughter Carol Heinlein. &nbsp;

Memorial Service for Donna will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel. Cremation has taken place and Elliott Mortuary is in charge of the service with burial to follow at Fairlawn Cemetery. &nbsp;

William ‘Bill’ Steinmetz, 94, died September 6, 2025 at his home in Hutchinson. He was born March 4, 1931, in Hutchinson, to Harold and Pearl Frances (Landis) Steinmetz.

Bill graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1949. Shortly after graduation, he joined the United States Army. Bill worked as a mail carrier for many years, eventually retiring in the 1980’s.

In prior years, Bill was an avid radio control plane flyer and enjoyed spending time with his friends from Hutch Bunch RC Club, in which he was a member. After his retirement, Bill spent many years farming his 80 acres of farm ground south of town. Throughout his life, he was also a dedicated vegetable gardener. He loved the Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church and church related activities, including singing in the choir. &nbsp;

On July 14, 1955, he married Shirley Jean Shuman, in Hutchinson. &nbsp;They shared over 70 years of marriage.

Bill is survived by: his loving wife, Shirley Steinmetz of Hutchinson; children, Mike Steinmetz of Hutchinson, Joni Vines of Hutchinson, and Lori (Richard) Green of Olathe; grandchildren, Chrystal Dobrzyn, Curtis Steinmetz, and Timothy Steinmetz; and great-granddaughter, Evelyn Steinmetz.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Ed; and sister, Kathaleen.

William 'Bill' Harold Steinmetz |1931-2025|

Betty L. Laney, 97, died September 7, 2025, in Hutchinson, KS. &nbsp;She was born September 24, 1927, at her grandmother's house in Stafford, KS, to Fred and Lula Wright Hornbaker.

Betty’s family lived in Stafford County before moving to a farm near Sylvia, KS, in 1935. &nbsp;She graduated from Sylvia High School and then attended two years at Abilene Christian College, Abilene, TX, before transferring to Kansas State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree.

In 1951, Betty married the late Richard Brenner and moved to Hutchinson. They had four children. &nbsp;She became very active in many organizations including her children’s activities, the Kansas State Alumni Association Reno County Catbackers, AAUW, Civitan, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and Interfaith Housing. She was a member of Crossroads Christian Church. &nbsp;In 1973, Betty got her real estate license working as a realtor for 33 years, helping and enjoying many people. &nbsp;In 1975, she met Bill Laney. They married in 1980. &nbsp;She enjoyed following Kansas State football teams to Bowl games, working in her yard with flowers, gardening, and bird watching. &nbsp;She enjoyed playing golf and duplicate bridge.

They had four children. &nbsp;She became very active in many organizations including her children’s activities, the Kansas State Alumni Association Reno County Catbackers, AAUW, Civitan, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and Interfaith Housing. She was a member of Crossroads Christian Church. &nbsp;In 1973, Betty got her real estate license working as a realtor for 33 years, helping and enjoying many people. &nbsp;In 1975, she met Bill Laney. Kenneth Leo Wilson, a lifelong resident of Hutchinson, KS passed away after a sudden illness on September 6, 2025, in Hutchinson at the age of 85.

Born on July 19, 1940, in Hutchinson to R. Bruce Wilson and Edith Starr Wilson. Kenneth graduated from Nickerson High School in 1958. He went on to attend Hutchinson Community College for two years before answering the call to serve his country. In 1963, Kenneth joined the United States Army, service three years of active duty followed by three years in the reserves. He was honorably discharged in 1969. Following his military service, he furthered his education at Adela Hale Business Career School, where he met Shirley Byrns. They were united in marriage on December 1, 1968.

In 1966, Kenneth began a long and dedicated career with Kansas Power and Light. Over the course of more than 35 years, he built a reputation for hard work and commitment before retiring.&nbsp;

In the late 1970s, Kenneth discovered a passion that would define much of his retirement-raising and showing rabbits. This hobby became a cherished part of his life as her traveled across the country participating in rabbit shows. His grandchildren affectionately call him “Papa with the bunnies,” a nickname that captured both his gentle spirit and devotion to family.

Kenneth was a devoted member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, and found great joy in both his faith and his family. He shared 56 loving years of marriage with his wife Shirley, who survived him at their home. He is also survived by their children: Darin Wilson of the Home; James (Jenn) Wilson of South Hutchinson, Kansas; and Matt (Amy) Wilsom on Miami, Oklahoma. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Kalub Wilson and Ashlee Wilson of Miami, Oklahoma.

Kenneth is also survived by his brother Clarence Wilson of Lawrence, Kansas; sister Roseanne Wilson of Topeka, Kansas; and stepsister Elaine (John) Cloyd of Hutchinson, Kansas. He leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends who were touched by his presence.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his father R. Bruce Wilson; mother Edith Starr Wilson; stepmother Wilma Wilson; stepbrother Dale Sturgeon; and stepsister Judy Wiesenthal.&nbsp;

Kenneth’s life was marked by service to his country, to his community through decades of work, and to those who knew him best through quiet dedication and love. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 407 E. 12th, Hutchinson, with Pastor Quentin Nuttmann officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Military Honors will be conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard. Gary Gene Clark, 81, of Hutchinson, Kansas, died September 6, 2025, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center and was carried into the arms of his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. He was born June 7, 1944, in Miami, Oklahoma, to Harold and Juanita Clark, and moved to Hutchinson at five years old.&nbsp;

Gary married Janice (Wray) Clark August 23, 1964. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1963 and worked for Boeing Aircraft Co. from 1966 to 1970. At age 22, Gary received compensation for suggestions that were implemented by Boeing and became the company’s youngest supervisor. While attending Wichita State University, he had the opportunity to move to Washington state to continue working for Boeing until 1974.

An innovator in specialty chemicals and lubricants, Gary founded Petron Plus in 1978 and continued to sell his products internationally to the automotive and industrial markets today. &nbsp;

Gary and Jan enjoyed traveling across the States and internationally, collecting oil cans, filming all family and lifetime memory events, such as games, weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, school events, graduation, or any reason to gather. Known as the “camera man” and the “candy man,” Gary was there to capture the moment and offer a sweet treat. He created memory books for each member of the family and gave to them each Christmas – a treasured gift all hold dear.&nbsp;

Gary was a member of Inspire Church, where he served on the Board of Directors and as greeters with Jan for 35 years. He cherished the 47 years he spent flipping pancakes with his father-in-law, Bernie Wray, for the Methodist Church at the Kansas State Fair and the trophies he won for the Hutchinson Chili Cook-Off. Gary served on the Reno County Planning Board for 11 years, the Reno County Energy Council for 3 years, the Joint South Hutchinson Reno County Sub-Division Board for 8 years, and the Central Christian School Businessman Committee for 2 years. Gary filmed events at Central Christian School for 40 plus years, served 6 years in the Kansas and Washington State National Guard, was a member of the Association of Iron &amp; Steel Engineers, and he was nominated for Kansas Exporter of the Year in 2023. &nbsp;

Gary was preceded in death by: his mother, Juanita Leiker (Bill Leiker); father Harold Clark (Lena Clark); stepbrother, Cary Clark; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernie and Lorena Wray; and brother-in-law Gary Wray.&nbsp;

Beth Lorraine Chambers, 86, of Hutchinson, died August 30, 2025, at Diversicare of Hutchinson. She was born September 11, 1938, in Raton, New Mexico, the daughter of &nbsp;Albert J. and Eunice A. (Rubidoux) Welsh.

After moving to Hutchinson, Beth was a salesclerk at Gibson’s and then for many years at Kmart. She then worked at Goodwill until she retired. In her spare time, Beth loved to go dancing. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.

On September 29, 1956, Beth married Oscar T. Chambers, in Hutchinson. He died September 18, 1982.

She is survived by: her daughter, Brenda Unruh (Ron) of Plattsburg, MO; seven grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Nickels (Ron) of St. Louis, MO; brothers, Jack McClelland (Shirley) of Hutchinson, Chris Welsh (Barbara) of Topeka, Millard Welsh (Barbara) of Texas; and many extended family members.

Turon - Thomas "Tom" G. Frank, 77, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025 at his home. He was born on October 14, 1947 in Hutchinson to G. Gerald and M. Eileen (Hazen) Frank. Tom married Vickie Lynn (Keller) Frank on April 3, 1971 in Ulysses. She preceded him in death on May 9, 2024.

Tom graduated from Fairfield High School in 1965 and went on to attend Salt City Business College for 2 years. He started his working career at the Preston Co-op in 1968. He then began farming with his dad and in the winter would help build houses. He then started working for the US Postal Service as a substitute mail carrier in 1980 and went full time in 1984 until his retirement in 2014. He was a member of Turon Community Church and was a District 7 volunteer firefighter for 13 years where he served as the Chief for 4 of those years. He enjoyed doing woodworking and helping his children and grandchildren with projects.

He is survived by his daughters, Heather Frank, Debra (Jason) Evans and Janelle (Kenneth Hacking) Frank; grandchildren, Jaden (Adalina Fountain) Evans, Trent (Daisy Raburn) Evans and Ava Evans all of Turon.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vickie Frank; and son, Brian Frank.

Debra Louise Hawkins, 67, died Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born June 24, 1958 in Hutchinson, to James Arthur and Lydia (Weilert) Fraser. &nbsp;

Debra attended Hutchinson High School and then went on to pursue her education at Hutchinson Community College. In her earlier years, Debra was an entrepreneur and business owner in diverse sectors. Her work ethic was truly inspiring. Later on, she became a homemaker to fully dedicate her time to raising her family. Some of Debras hobbies include, shopping, playing bingo and gardening. Visiting casinos in Las Vegas and going on cruises with family and friends filled her with joy. Most importantly, Debra loved time spent with her children and grandchildren.

On October 31, 1989, she married Bobby Craig Hawkins, in Hutchinson. They shared over 35 years of marriage.

Debra is survived by: her husband, Bobby Hawkins; children, Robert (Sandy) Baker, Ray (Shauna) Baker, and Kari Baker; sisters, Judith (Ron) Baker, Ann (Larry) Swanson, and Cindy (Eric) Ervin; grandchildren, Trevor (Krista) Hoheisel, Emily Baker, Austin (Novalie) Baker, Samantha (Nate) Baker, Lyndsey (Billy) Petrihos, Ryan (Brenna) Allen, and Tanner Allen; and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has taken place. Rosary will be at 11 a.m. and funeral liturgy at 11:30 a.m. both on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Elliott Mortuary, with Father Andrew Meng officiating. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. &nbsp;

Nathaniel “Tater” Hulett was born in Beeville, Texas on March 27th, 1981, to (Father) Richard Dean Hulett and (Mother) Brenda Sue Lawrence (Caselton). He passed away peacefully at his home in Hutchinson, Kansas on August 29th, 2025.

Nathaniel lived his life simply and jokingly said “retired.” Though he struggled daily with mental health challenges, he spent his final years surrounded by hope, family, and the simple joy of living. He will be remembered for his love of music, fishing, his creativity, generosity, and above all, for his devotion to God. Nathaniel carried the Word of God with him wherever he went, eager to share it with anyone who would listen. He collected Bibles gave some away, clothed the needy, fed the hungry, and provided rest to weary souls.

Many will remember him for his big heart, his laughter, and the way he reached out to those in need. He was always the first to encourage someone, to offer kindness, or share a joke to lighten the pain. Nathaniel’s life was a daily battle, but he fought with courage and faith. In God’s mercy, when his struggle was over, Nathaniel was lovingly brought home.

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Sue Caselton; his sister, Heather Helene Hulett; his daughter, Gracie Sue Hulett, his life partner and soulmate Laura “Winky” Weidenbener, his brother Levi Hulett, stepmother Sally Hulett, and his beloved cat, Sadie Rocks. Niece and nephew; Alexzandrea D. Moore and Noah S Howerter. His paternal grandmother Jody Butler; Uncle and Aunt Curtis Peggy VonFeldt, Jacque Waters, Raquel Allan, and Great Uncle Rod Hulett, Great Uncle and Aunt Michael D and Cindy Withrow.

Rae Patricia (Heath) Hederstedt, 83, died on September 1, 2025. She was born on August 21, 1942, in Salina, Kansas, to Roy Hinkle Heath and Rachel Esther (Tonkin) Heath.

Rae Pat graduated from Salina High School in 1960. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and master’s degree in education from Wichita State University. She married David Ross Hederstedt in 1963. They were married many years and were later good friends and co-parents. Rae Pat taught elementary school in Eudora, Overbrook, and Osage City, Kansas. In Hutchinson, she first taught Head Start, and later, taught third, fourth, and fifth grades at Avenue A Elementary School, retiring in 2003. She was a member of the KU Alumni Association, Pi Beta Phi, and Grace Episcopal Church where she served on the vestry and had many friends. She was a fierce and loving advocate for Sam - her son with disabilities.

Rae Pat was a caregiver and lover of learning. She prioritized building strong friendships and remembered that all the best relationships are sprinkled with quick, intelligent wit. Sharing these qualities and values made her an amazing mom and grandma.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Roy Samuel Heath, her sister, Alison Mary (Heath) Carter, and Dave Hederstedt.

Rae Pat is survived by her daughters, Sarah (Chuck) Blake and Laura A. Hederstedt; son, Sam Wilson Hederstedt; five grandchildren, T.J. (Tucker) Blake-Briggs, Rachel Kephart, Annie Blake, Charlie Kephart, and Joe Blake; brother-in-law, George Carter; niece Elizabeth Carter, and many wonderful cousins and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., September 20, 2025, at Grace Episcopal Church, 2 Hyde Park, Hutchinson, Kansas. Steven Wayne Schuessler, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, was born on January 24, 1951, in Concordia, KS. He was the beloved son of Thomas and Mildred (Allen) Schuessler, who raised him in the rural community of Washington, KS.

Steve graduated from Washington High School in 1969 and went on to attend Kanas State University. In 1975, he settled in Hutchinson, KS where he worked as a welder and technician at Farmarco, Doskocils, and Collins Bus.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia, and his beloved son, Andy, whose memory is carried with him always.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne, with whom he shared 24 years. He is also survived by his daughters, Erin Schuessler of Overland Park and Emily Schuessler of Wichita, whom he shared with his former wife, Constance Hatch of Burlington, KS. Additionally, he is survived by his brothers, Mike Schuessler of Washington, KS; three granddaughters, Alyssa, Jenna and Avery.

Steve was known for his kind spirit, quick humor, and love of country western shows.

Ana Isabel Vonachen Dominguez, 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep August 28, 2025 in Lawrence, Kansas. Born January 13, 1936, Ana lived in the Hutchinson, Kansas area most of her life, working as a translator at Heston Corporation, and in retail sales at Pegues, Wiley’s and Dillard’s department stores. She also taught Spanish at Trinity Junior/High School.

She graduated from high school at the Instituto de Media de Melilla (Spain) in 1954 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Liberal Arts from the Universidad de Zaragoza (Spain) in 1960. She met her future husband Cecil Rex Vonachen in 1957 while he was stationed at the United States Air Force Base in Zaragoza, Spain. They were married there on December 26, 1960, and moved to Pratt, Kansas in 1961. Returning to Spain with her husband and children for one year in 1972, Ana also received her Masters degree in Philosophy and Liberal Arts from the Universidad de Zaragoza.

In her spare time while raising her three children, Ana enjoyed playing tennis, Bridge and Ma Jong with many dear friends, as well as knitting and crocheting. She was a devote Catholic and volunteered for many years in various church activities at St. Teresa’s and Holy Cross Catholic Churches in Hutchinson.

Ana is survived by her children Kathleen Ann VonAchen of Lawrence, Kansas, Steven Eric Vonachen (Stephanie) of Wichita, Kansas, John Terry Vonachen of Lawrence, Kansas, and grandson Samuel Vonachen of Lansing, Kansas. She is also survived by her brother Juan Dominguez Lasierra of Zaragoza, Spain, sister-in-law Arlene Vonachen of Pratt, Kansas, and sister-in-law Connie Vonachen of Racine, Wisconsin.

Preceded in death include her loving spouse of 61 years Cecil Rex Vonachen, her parents Juan Dominguez Dominguez and Victoriana Dominguez Lasierra, father-in-law and mother-in-law Rex and Mrytle Vonachen, brother-in-law Wayne Vonachen, daughter-in-law Karla Vonachen, granddaughter Audrey Vonachen, and many cousins in Spain.

A special mass is being held to celebrate her memory and life at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2631 Independence Road, Hutchinson, Kansas 67502 on Saturday, September 13th at 10:30 am. Her family will be present to welcome friends and loved ones.

Surrounded by family and love, we announce the passing of Donald Haynes, who died on August 31, 2025, at the age of 78 in his hometown of Hutchinson, Kansas, after a short illness. Born on November 1, 1946, to Charles and Christine Haynes, Don lived a full and vibrant life.

A graduate of Buhler High School, Don built his life in Hutchinson, where he dedicated 42 years to Cessna/Eaton before retiring. His career was marked by hard work, reliability, and pride in a job well done — qualities that earned him the respect and admiration of everyone who knew him.

Don is survived by: his daughter, Kim Evans (Kurt Schlegel) of Colorado; his son, Mike Haynes (Darnell) of Kansas; and his grandchildren, Amanda Boydstun (Davin) of Colorado, Alan-Michael Evans of Colorado, Ethan Haynes (Diana) of Kansas, Tyler Haynes (Cassie) of Kansas; and Laura King of Kansas, a beloved part of his family. He was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a wide circle of friends who will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, sister, and two brothers.

Don will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his deep well of knowledge, his kind heart, and his sense of humor. He had a gift for making everyone feel like family. He never met a stranger — he could strike up a conversation with anyone, always ready with a story, a joke, or a laugh. He especially loved being around children, and his face lit up in their presence.

Outside of work, Don’s greatest passion was the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and especially competitive bench rest shooting. As a lifetime member of the Rivercreek Gun Club, he proudly held multiple shooting records and spent countless hours competing and connecting with friends who shared his love for the sport.

Don also had an incredible depth of knowledge when it came to guns and ammunition. Conversations with him often included what he was building, modifying, or dreaming up next. He was always eager to share advice, stories, and, of course, a good laugh.

Don’s parting words, delivered with his signature humor and warmth, were simple: “Don’t sit around thinking about your bucket list — start checking things off!” He reminded us all to stop procrastinating, embrace adventure, and make every single day count.

Lori Ann Danner, 50, passed away on August 31, 2025, at her home in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born on February 21, 1975, in Hutchinson, KS to Morris and Patricia (O’Neal) Goss.

 </figure>Lori Ann Danner, 50, passed away on August 31, 2025, at her home in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born on February 21, 1975, in Hutchinson, KS to Morris and Patricia (O’Neal) Goss.In 1993, Lori graduated from Hutchinson High School. She was an assistant manager in the food service industry. On September 17, 2004, Lori married Michael Danner in Hutchinson, KS.Lori had a lifelong love for music. She and Mike have been to 100’s of music concerts over the years. She was a huge history buff and was continually wanting to learn more. She was a very big advocate for people being themselves and was a very outside of the box girl. She was compassionate towards everyone she met, including animals. Lori will be dearly missed by family and friends.She is preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Sherri Goss and Janet Hendry.Lori is survived by her husband, Mike; and a sister, Amy Corsetti.Per Lori’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS. A visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the funeral chapel. Inurnment will take place at Memorial Park&nbsp; Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hereditary Neurological Disease Centre- Wichita KS and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.&nbsp;
