Nola Marie Gaeddert (Herman), died June 8, 2022 at Pleasant View Memory Care in Inman. Nola was born January 26, 1930 (the fourth of five children) to Robert Uriah Herman and Reva Susan Herman in Lincoln.
Nola graduated from Lincoln High School and then attended National Career School in Omaha, NE. She then moved to Hutchinson, where she met and married Albert Gene Gaeddert. They were married on August 12,1951 at Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church. Nola worked at Carey Salt Company until they bought and moved to a farm near Buhler, KS. Daughters Jan Louise was born January 26, 1953 and Shirley Ann on September 30, 1955. Nola enjoyed wood carving and worked part time at State Farm Insurance and later a rural substitute mail carrier.
Nola is survived by husband Albert, (Pleasant View, Inman, KS); sister Joyce Countryman, (Tucson, AZ); daughter Jan Jaye-Smith husband Steven R. Smith (Wichita); daughter Shirley Pestinger husband Robert Pestinger (Andover); five grandchildren: Ashley Hein (Ponca City, OK); Brandon Jaye (Leawood); Tyler Jaye (Lee’s Summit, MO); Lindsay Paulseen (Wichita); Cameron Pestinger (Chicago, IL) and nine great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held.
