Billie Rickard  |1933-2022| 

Billie Rickard, 89, of Medicine Lodge, died Monday, June 6, 2022 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

She was born on January 26, 1933 in Kremlin, OK, the daughter of Ora Sharkey and Ruby (Hayes) Sharkey. On August 6, 1956, she married Bruce Everett Rickard in Alva, OK. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1997.

Billie was a school teacher for 42 years and graduated from Oklahoma State University. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, the Pilot Club, KNEA and the Silver Hair Legislature.

Surviving are two sons, Buddy (Pam) Rickard of Nashville, KS and Dirk Rickard of Wichita, KS; two daughters, Ricki Rickard of Phoenix, AZ; and Tonya (Ed) Taylor of St. Charles, IL; three grandchildren, Dusty (Ashlie) Rickard, Jordyn (Sam) Kinsler, and Caleb Taylor; five great grandchildren, Logan Kinsler, Avery Kinsler, Lathan Rickard, Riley Rickard, and Rowan Rickard; one brother, Jean Sharkey of Weskan; one sister, Barbara (Jim) Kirby of Stillwater, OK; one brother-in-law, Johnny Kroll of Perry, OK; numerous nieces and nephews.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son-in-law, Bill
Butler and one sister-in-law, Joan Kroll.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, 67104
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, with Pastor Tom Walters officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
