HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Community College and PrairieLand Partners will celebrate a new partnership designed to prepare students for careers as John Deere-certified technicians.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at PrairieLand Partners, 1800 S. Lorraine St. in Hutchinson. Tours of the new facility and refreshments will follow.
The partnership will give students an opportunity to earn an associate degree from HutchCC while completing the training needed to become a John Deere-certified technician.

Organizers said the collaboration represents an investment in workforce development, technical education and the future of the Hutchinson community.
The event will also serve as a customer appreciation open house. Activities are scheduled to continue until 2 p.m.
