While recent times have been a challenge to local newspapers, our digital news properties at EAGLE Media have seen enormous growth in readership and revenue. Now, our local Hutchinson, Kansas, operation at HutchPost.com and Eagle Radio has a rare opening for a news director/on-air anchor.
At EAGLE, we believe a knowledgeable and engaged citizen base is integral to a vibrant and relevant community. Our ideal candidate understands the importance of building local relationships and providing important news coverage to our region.
The Hutch Post coverage footprint is large and you will be integral in expanding our coverage into underserved communities. Hutchinson has a busy court docket. Our news team’s beat, among other daily duties, will also include following important trials from start to finish. Video and photography skills will put you ahead of the pack. Your writing will not only be featured on Hutch Post, but broader stories are often featured on many of EAGLE's other Post sites throughout Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
Our local on-air radio news presence is also an integral part of our connection to the community. You’ll prepare and anchor daily early-morning and noon newscasts on our three EAGLE Radio stations, and be available to cover breaking news and weather events.
Do you want to be part of creating a better experience where you live, work and play? Why not grow with a company where you are not just an employee, but where you can be an employee-owner?
