LAWRENCE, Kan. — Former Kansas forward and first team All-American Thomas Robinson is the third former Jayhawk to commit to play for the KU alumni team (Mass Street TBT) in The Basketball Tournament in July in Wichita.
The 6-foot-10 240-pound Robinson was selected as the No. 5 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings. The 32-year-old Washington, D.C. native will join Tyshawn Taylor and Keith Langford on the KU roster.
Robinson played at KU from 2010 to 2012 and currently is playing professionally in Puerto Rico.
The KU alumni team first announced they would be playing in The Basketball Tournament in May.
TBT is a 64-team, $1 million winner-take-all event on ESPN will be held in Wichita July 20 through July 25 at Charles Koch Arena on the campus of Wichita State University.
