WICHITA, Kan. — Officials from The Basketball Tournament (TBT) announced on Monday that the Wichita regional will expand to 16 teams this summer and will be called a Super Regional.

TBT is a 64-team, $1 million winner-take-all event on ESPN will be held in Wichita July 20 through July 25 at Charles Koch Arena on the campus of Wichita State University.

One of the teams that is scheduled to partake in the Wichita Super Regional is an alumni team from the University of Kansas, called "Mass Street".

The Jayhawks have not had an alumni team participate in the event since 2019. The "Self Made" team lost in the first round of the Wichita regional.

The Mass Street team announced it's first four team members on Monday. The team will be coached by twins Markieff and Marcus Morris, while Tyshawn Taylor and Keith Langford are both scheduled to play in the event.
