Robert James Graham, Sr., of Goessel, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. He was born Nov. 21, 1938 to Levi and May (Kerr) Graham in Denison, Iowa.
On June 12, 1965, Robert married Norma Allsup at Oskaloosa, Iowa.
He got his GED and attended Vennard College in University Park, IA for one year. Over the years, he worked many different jobs, but mostly was an over the road truck driver. Robert was a Christian who loved the Lord and enjoyed telling the story of how God saved him. He was always full of stories about his life and never ceased to amaze us with how good his memory was! He enjoyed driving, gardening, spending time with his family, and puttering around in his shop fixing things.
Robert is survived by his wife, Norma; two sons, Robert Graham Jr. and his wife, Sheri, of Moundridge, and Timothy Graham and his wife, Michelle, of Wichita; two sisters, Cathy Minniear and Diane Graham, both of Ochelata, Oklahoma; and six grandchildren, Sarah, Robert, Timmy, Jonathan, Rachel and Wesley Graham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and May Graham; and three sisters, Thelma Rabb, Lucy Gantt, and Ellen Solomon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Moundridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mound Township Cemetery, Moundridge. Family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 23, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army, in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, Kansas 67107.
