Kathleen Marie “Kat” Wiens, 75, passed away on February 11, 2026, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. Kathleen was born on January 19, 1951, in Wichita KS, to Albert Daniel and Jacqueline Ruth (Johnson) West.

Kathleen graduated from Wichita West High School in May, 1969, then attended Fort Hays State and Hesston College before graduating from Bethel College in May, 1992. She worked in marketing and advertising before becoming a Registered Nurse. Kat enjoyed hunting for Indian artifacts, reading, shopping, interior design and art, especially oil paintings, and was a supporter of the Hutchinson Kennel Club.

Kathleen married Ron Knott who passed away in 2012. She then married Larry A. Wiens in Hutchinson, he survives.

Kathleen is survived by: stepchildren, Aaron and wife Kathy Wiens, Katie Wiens and Brennan Smith; step-grandchildren, Aaron and Dylan; beloved friend, Kendra Taber; and 3 sisters.

Kathleen is preceded by her parents and husband Ron Knott.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned.

Kenneth R. “Ken” Stoecker, 82, of Hutchinson, passed away February 11, 2026, at his residence. He was born April 22, 1943, in Colby, Kansas, to Frederick W. and Velma L. (Vollbracht) Stoecker.

Ken graduated from Oakley High School in 1961 and went on to attend Fort Scott Community College and Emporia State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard from 1964 to 1969 and was deployed to Vietnam.

Ken worked at Collins Industries, where he sold limousines and hearses until the company relocated. Then after he retired, Ken spent nine years driving for Budget Rental Car, a position he truly enjoyed.

Family was the center of Ken’s life. He deeply cherished time with his grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy. Ken also enjoyed traveling, including trips oversees to Sweden, memorable Caribbean and Alaskan cruises, and a river cruise down the Seine River in Paris to meet up with Jan's son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters who lived in Stockholm, Sweden at the time.

In his spare time, Ken could often be found playing pool, walking at the Sports Arena, woodworking, and tending to his yard. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68 and took great pride in the American flag that flew from the pole in his front yard. Ken was a devoted member of Park Place Christian Church.

On November 25, 2006, he married Janice M. “Jan” (Isbell) Bartlett, in Hutchinson. She survives.

Additional survivors include: his children, Mark Stoecker of Tuba City, Arizona, Steve Stoecker (Katie) of Bemidji, Minnesota, and Stephanie VanAusdall (Vern) of Baldwin City; stepsons, Jerry Bartlett (Annika) and David Bartlett (Katie), both of Overland Park; grandchildren, Krysten Pena (Stoecker), Blake Webb, Stella VanAusdall, Gentry Stoecker, Haizley Stoecker; step-grandchildren, Delaney Shandy, Gavin Clemetson, Emma Bartlett, Sophia Bartlett, Ellie Bartlett, Noah Bartlett; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marjorie Smith.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Elliott Chapel. Todd Martin Kaiser, 57, died February 4, 2026, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born July 9, 1968, in Hutchinson, KS, to John ‘Johnnie’ Martin and Nancy Louise (Foster) Kaiser Jr.

Todd was truly a jack of all trades. Whether it was farming, motocross, or working on motorcycles and flying planes. He could do anything he’d set his mind to and made sure he always stayed busy.

On January 26, 1996, he married Kristin Holly Regehr in Hutchinson. They shared over 30 years of marriage. She survives.

Other survivors include: his children, Makayla (Jacob Fenton) Kaiser, Kylee (Jadrien Delgado) Kaiser, and Chance (Maleah Yiankopulos) Kaiser; mother, Nancy Kaiser; sisters, Angie (Michael) Baker, Amanda (Greg) Ratzlaff, and Mary Kaiser; and his fur buddy, Nardo Kaiser.

He was preceded in death by, his father, Johnnie Kaiser Jr., and brother, Jarrin Kaiser.

He was born May 10, 1961, in Hutchinson to Leonard Faye Swan and Shirley (Tomlin) Swan. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in May 1979. In September 1979, he entered basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, and was honorably discharged in December 1981.

Chris’s greatest joy was being a dad and papa. He especially loved creating stained glass and made many pieces for family members over the years.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Swan; children, Amanda Bailey (Wes) and Leonard William Swan (Megan); grandchildren, Trenton Bailey, Larkin Swan, Zoey Swan and Finnley Swan; sisters, Marsha Mattox (Ernie), Susan Kauffman (Larry), Debbie Gideon-Long (Mark) and Tammy Clark (James); honorary sister, Vikki Mitchell; uncle, Amos Tomlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lynn Edward Barnard, 78, passed away October 3, 2025, surrounded by family at his home in Palm Desert, California. He was born May 15, 1947, in Atchison, Kansas, to Eugene Franklin and Eunice Clara (Jarrett) Barnard.

Lynn grew up in Kansas and Missouri and graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1965. Following high school, he attended the University of California, Riverside, continuing his education after completing service with the United States Army.

Lynn loved people and found joy in helping others discover purpose and happiness in whatever task was at hand. That spirit carried him through an early career in restaurant management, including time at the corporate level, and later into real estate, where he truly thrived. Serving clients throughout Orange County, he combined careful attention to detail with a deep commitment to helping others transition smoothly into the next stage of life. Many clients became lifelong friends.

An avid runner, Lynn took particular pride in finishing the Los Angeles Marathon with a fast time, a moment captured in print for his family to cherish. He also enjoyed joking about the one time he beat his brother Gene in competition, though no photos exist. Gene reluctantly confirmed the upset. Lynn also loved tennis and later golf, eventually retiring to life near the eighth hole.

While Lynn was an incredible gift to his family, one of his favorite gifts came from his daughter on Father’s Day: a cat named Gilligan, who became his loyal and thoroughly spoiled companion for decades. Though he had other cats over the years, Gilligan remained the one who would accompany him even after death.

Lynn was a devoted father who cherished time with his daughter, creating lasting memories through road trips, days at Disneyland, and building leaf forts in the fall. He proudly supported her color guard performances and competitions, whether she was participating or coaching. He was also an enthusiastic presence at his nieces’ track and field and cross-country meets, and he stepped up as a steady mentor and supporter for his nephew through school, work, and marching band.

If Lynn left behind any advice, it might have been this: In-N-Out burgers should always be eaten fresh on site and never taken home.

He is survived by his daughter, Harmony Star Barnard of Aliso Viejo, California; his siblings, Genene Kay Faubion of Salina, Kansas; J. Lee Barnard of Chino, California; Kristin Gay James and husband Art of Hemet, California; and Donna Sue Basirico and husband Frank of Oceanside, California; along with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was also deeply cherished by his nieces and nephew, Jaclyn Kay Ledbetter of Franklin, Tennessee; Jessica Lynn Barnard of Seattle, Washington; Jarre Lyn Barnard of Antioch, Tennessee; and Jonathan Jay Barnard of Claremont, California, to whom he was a steady presence and father figure, offering guidance, care, and unwavering support.

In addition to his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Stephen Ray Faubion, on June 21, 2021; his sister-in-law, Elenita Barnard, on August 15, 2025; and his brother, Eugene Franklin Barnard II, who passed away February 3, 2026.

Lynn was a strong and loving presence to his daughter, to the nieces and nephew he loved as his own, and to nearly everyone who met him. Bradley Davis Finch “Bubba,” 67, of Topeka KS passed away on February 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Brad was born on December 10, 1958, in Hutchinson KS, the son of Art T. Finch and Betty J. Finch-Solida.

Brad married Carla Nuss on April 30, 1977, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Brad and Carla shared 48 years of marriage where they were blessed with two daughters, ﬁve grandchildren, and one great- granddaughter. Carla was the love of Brad’s life, and he was especially proud of the strength, commitment, and perseverance that deﬁned their 48 years together.

Brad started working in the used car industry when he was 18 years old. Throughout the years, he worked at Jeff O’neal Ford in Hutchinson, Briggs Supercenter in KIA, and Bradley Motors in Topeka. His strong work ethic led to a successful and well-respected career.

Bubba loved spending time on the golf course, boating with his family on Table Rock Lake, poker nights with his sons-in-law, listening to favorite music cranked up loudly, and riding his Harley.

Brad is survived by his wife, Carla Finch, Topeka; daughters, Brandy (Jason) Moreland, Harrisonville MO, and Cammy (Adam) Figgs, Topeka; granddaughters, Jacey (Nicholas) Blalock, Lees Summit MO, Brecken Moreland, Lees Summit, Rylee Figgs, Overland Park KS, Kameryn Moreland, Lees Summit; grandson, Colton Figgs, Topeka; great-granddaughter, Lynnie Blalock, Lees Summit; and loyal companion, Gemma, his four-legged best friend.

Brad was preceded in death by his father, Art Finch; his mother, Betty Finch-Solida; stepfather, John B. Solida; and stepbrother, Ronnie Solida.

Eugene Franklin Barnard II, 84, passed away on February 3, 2026, at his rural Hutchinson, KS home. Gene, Frankie in his youth, was born on January 16, 1942, in Newton, KS. His parents were Eugene Franklin and Eunice Clara (Jarrett) Barnard.

Gene graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1960. His running ability led him to Kansas University where he enjoyed life as a proud FIJI; earning a B.S. in Business Administration in 1965. Gene continued his education in KU Grad School before entering the Army in 1967. Following Officer Candidate School, Gene served in the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions in Vietnam where he received multiple recognitions, including the Bronze Star with Valor. Gene was honorably discharged at the rank of First Lieutenant in September of 1969.

One of Gene’s first jobs was as a switchman for the railroad. When Gene returned home from the Army, he put his college degree to work mainly in the paper industry, working his way up from Sales Representative to Business Analyst/Materials Management for several companies located in California, Colorado and Oregon. He successfully owned and operated his own management company in Portland, OR, for a number of years.

In 2009, Gene returned to sink his roots in Kansas soil to enjoy retirement. On his homestead, he surrounded himself with his green-thumb grown plants and garden, a horse, two donkeys, hundreds of treasured books and likely every bird in the region. Gene was an avid runner for most of his life, and continued to enjoy playing golf, following sports and gatherings with lifelong friends well into retirement.

Gene is survived by his siblings: Genene Kay (Barnard) Faubion (HHS class of 1958) of Salina, KS; J. Lee Barnard of Chino, CA; Kristin Gay (Barnard) James and husband, Art, of Hemet, CA; and Donna Sue (Barnard) Basirico and husband, Frank, of Oceanside, CA. The children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Gene’s siblings fondly remember him as “Uncle Bear” or “Uncle Trouble”.

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by: brother, Lynn Edward Barnard (HHS class of 1965 on 10/3/25) and brother-in-law, Stephen Ray Faubion (HHS class of 1956 on 6/21/21).

Gene’s family valued every minute they were lucky to share with him, and as were his wishes, will gather privately to return his ashes to the good dirt that he loved. David LeRoy Diggs, 69, of Wichita, died February 4, 2026, at Harry Hynes Memorial&nbsp;Hospice, located in Ascension Via Christi- St. Francis, Wichita. He was born May 19,&nbsp;1956, in Hutchinson, to Ellis Wayne “Sammy” and Iva Mae (Mooney) Diggs, Sr.&nbsp;David was a man of tradition and deeply rooted, old-fashioned values. He grew up in a&nbsp;family of ten brothers and sisters. Raised in a home shaped by loving parents, where&nbsp;the Word of God guided daily life, and the Christian faith formed the foundation of their&nbsp;home. David carried that faith with him throughout his life. He loved his Lord and Savior,&nbsp;Jesus Christ, wholeheartedly and shared the message of salvation with everyone he&nbsp;met.

David graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1974. He attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, and later Pacific Baptist Bible College in San Dimas,&nbsp;California, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Christian ministry. He was a retired&nbsp;Baptist minister, serving churches in both Pueblo and Cañon City, CO where he raised&nbsp;His three children LaRessha, Stephen and Trissha.

David returned to his roots, moving back to Kansas in 2017, and then married&nbsp;Peggy (Smalling) Diggs on May 21, 2018, in Las Vegas, NV..

Family was at the center of David’s life. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and&nbsp;extended family deeply, along with the many friends who became family along the way.&nbsp;He moved through life with a childlike spirit, finding joy easily and sharing laughter&nbsp;freely. Music also held a special place in his heart. In the early 2000s, he established&nbsp;and produced “Diggs Journey Radio”, which later became “World Christian Music Radio”.&nbsp;This ministry through music was more than a hobby. It was a calling that brought him&nbsp;joy, purpose, and connection.

In retirement, David found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed working in his yard,&nbsp;researching family history, tracing the stories of those who came before him and&nbsp;spending time with his loving wife Peggy. He was a gifted storyteller, often spending hours sharing memories of growing up in Kansas with his parents and siblings, and reflecting on his time at Westside Baptist Church, the church that forever held a special&nbsp;place in his heart, because it’s where he began his Christian journey. It is for that reason; it&nbsp;was his wish that his memorial service be held at Westside.

David had the voice of a DJ, the mind of a warrior, and a heart of gold.

He will be greatly missed, yet even in our grief, we hold fast to the peace of knowing he is now with his Lord and Savior, reunited with loved ones who went before him, where they rejoice in the celebration of his return home. Carey “Doug” Douglas Donham, 74, died February 6, 2026, at Via Christi St. Francis. Doug was born on October 30, 1951, in Los Angeles, CA, to Bill Donham and Jessie Josephine Gillespie.

Doug graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended Hutchinson Community College.

He was an avid golfer and loved watching old westerns. &nbsp;When the weather was not nice enough to golf, he also enjoyed playing cards at the clubhouse with his friends. &nbsp;He was also a devoted sports fan for the Jayhawks and Chiefs. &nbsp;

Robert Duane “Bob” Bass, 73, died February 9, 2026, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born May 26, 1952, in Wray, CO, to Dusty Bass and Bonnie “Beth” Hitchcock.&nbsp;

Bob graduated from Buhler High School in 1971. He worked as a machinist for J &amp; J Drainage, Hutchinson, for many years. Bob had a passion for music and played guitar for over 50 years. He most recently was the guitarist for the Boulevard Band and Ulterior Motives.&nbsp;

On January 28, 1995, in Hutchinson, Bob married Tammy Jo Chaffin.

Bob is survived by: his loving wife of over 31 years, Tammy Bass of Hutchinson; son, James (Vicki) Huebner of Wichita; daughters, Buffy Countryman of Salina and Christina Cobb of Hutchinson; five grandsons; four great-grandsons; and sister, Letha.

Sharon Kendall, 76, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on February 10, 2026, at her happy place in Bradenton, Florida, with her loving husband by her side.&nbsp;

Sharon was born January 18, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to Creed and Avis (Denton) Hahn. Raised in Topeka, Kansas, she graduated from Highland Park High School in 1968. She attended Westmar College in Le Mars, Iowa, earning a bachelor’s degree in history. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Washburn University while working in juvenile detention as a youth advisor. Sharon went on to earn her master’s degree in special education and became the first special education teacher at Plains Elementary School. Her career in education spanned nearly 30 years, teaching special education at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels in Kansas communities including Plains, Ness City, Lakin, and Deerfield, before retiring in 2013 from Garden City High School.&nbsp;

A defining moment in her early life was learning to swim at age 16. She later ran the city swimming pool every summer for almost 20 years. Known for her tireless work ethic, Sharon often juggled teaching, advocacy for “her kids”, managing the pool, teaching summer school, giving swimming lessons and water aerobics classes, and even cleaning the community bank at night.

On December 22, 1973, Sharon married David Neal at Highland Park Christian Church in Topeka, Kansas. Together they raised four children. Sharon loved experiencing new places and checking items off her bucket list. Some of her favorite memories were trips with her children and grandchildren to Chicago, the Bourbon Trail, Boston, New York City, and most recently, Maui. She also loved sunsets on the beaches of Anna Maria Island with a rum runner in her hand.&nbsp;

Following retirement, Sharon moved to Ohio and reunited with her college sweetheart, Steven Kendall. They were married on September 16, 2022. Together they enjoyed trips to the casinos, playing bingo, mingling at Coaches, traveling to Las Vegas, Niagara Falls, and Iowa, and splitting their time between Ohio in the summer and Florida in the winter. They also enjoyed many trips to Kansas and Arizona to spend time with her children and nine grandchildren. Sharon never knew a stranger, easily striking up conversations with fellow travelers, the ladies at the pool, her book club friends, and neighbors.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Dr. Max Wells. She is survived by her beloved husband, Steven Kendall; her children and their families: Andrea and Ryan Ardery and their children, Race (Adi), Jenera, Jade, and Rush (Pierceville); Brooke and Travis Jantz and their children, Emma (Holland, MI), Carter, and Maddie (Olathe); Megan and Brady Garren and their children, Jack and Jordi (Olathe); and Joe Neal (Olathe); her stepson, Alex Kendall (New York City); and her sister, Gayle Wells; niece, Dr. Katie George; nephew, Dr. Michael Wells; and niece, Molly Ospina Wells.  </figure>Sharon Kendall, 76, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on February 10, 2026, at her happy place in Bradenton, Florida, with her loving husband by her side.&nbsp;Sharon was born January 18, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to Creed and Avis (Denton) Hahn. Raised in Topeka, Kansas, she graduated from Highland Park High School in 1968. She attended Westmar College in Le Mars, Iowa, earning a bachelor’s degree in history. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Washburn University while working in juvenile detention as a youth advisor. Sharon went on to earn her master’s degree in special education and became the first special education teacher at Plains Elementary School. Her career in education spanned nearly 30 years, teaching special education at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels in Kansas communities including Plains, Ness City, Lakin, and Deerfield, before retiring in 2013 from Garden City High School.&nbsp;A defining moment in her early life was learning to swim at age 16. She later ran the city swimming pool every summer for almost 20 years. Known for her tireless work ethic, Sharon often juggled teaching, advocacy for “her kids”, managing the pool, teaching summer school, giving swimming lessons and water aerobics classes, and even cleaning the community bank at night.On December 22, 1973, Sharon married David Neal at Highland Park Christian Church in Topeka, Kansas. Together they raised four children. Sharon loved experiencing new places and checking items off her bucket list. Some of her favorite memories were trips with her children and grandchildren to Chicago, the Bourbon Trail, Boston, New York City, and most recently, Maui. She also loved sunsets on the beaches of Anna Maria Island with a rum runner in her hand.&nbsp;Following retirement, Sharon moved to Ohio and reunited with her college sweetheart, Steven Kendall. They were married on September 16, 2022. Together they enjoyed trips to the casinos, playing bingo, mingling at Coaches, traveling to Las Vegas, Niagara Falls, and Iowa, and splitting their time between Ohio in the summer and Florida in the winter. They also enjoyed many trips to Kansas and Arizona to spend time with her children and nine grandchildren. Sharon never knew a stranger, easily striking up conversations with fellow travelers, the ladies at the pool, her book club friends, and neighbors.&nbsp;She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Dr. Max Wells. She is survived by her beloved husband, Steven Kendall; her children and their families: Andrea and Ryan Ardery and their children, Race (Adi), Jenera, Jade, and Rush (Pierceville); Brooke and Travis Jantz and their children, Emma (Holland, MI), Carter, and Maddie (Olathe); Megan and Brady Garren and their children, Jack and Jordi (Olathe); and Joe Neal (Olathe); her stepson, Alex Kendall (New York City); and her sister, Gayle Wells; niece, Dr. Katie George; nephew, Dr. Michael Wells; and niece, Molly Ospina Wells. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. Janet Negrete, 62, of Hutchinson, KS went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2026. Janet was born on March 24, 1963, in Hutchinson KS, the daughter of Ignacio Negrete and Angelita Alfaro.

Janet graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1983. She enjoyed bowling, tennis, puzzles, music and most of all dancing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Kathryn Garcia.

Janet is survived by her sister Ruth Ann (Mark) Reaves of Newtown, PA. nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Raymond Odell&nbsp;Edwards, 87, of Augusta, KS died February 7, 2026 at his home. Odell was born on September 16, 1938 to Raymond and Ilo&nbsp;Edwards.

Odell graduated from Douglass High School in 1956. In 2025 he was inducted into the Douglass High School Sports Hall of Fame. He was very proud of this achievement.

While living in the Hutchinson area, Odell worked at Krause Plow, Ramsey Oil, and eventually retiring as a regional truck driver from Dillons.

In 1957, Odell married his high school sweetheart Karen Barnes. They celebrated 56 years of marriage before her passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers Armond, Dave, &amp; Butch; sisters Delight and Gail; daughter Sherry Jill Howell; son-in-law Dale Howell; grandson Carter Odell Helm.

Margaret Ann Brummett 95, of Hutchinson, died February 9, 2026, at Legend Senior Living. She was born February 10, 1930, in Terlton, Oklahoma, to Joseph and Lydia (Haws) Eales.

Margaret moved to Hutchinson in 1937, graduated from Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson Community College, and received her bachelor’s degree from Sterling College. She taught first grade at Graber Elementary School for 23 years. Margaret was an active member of First United Methodist Church since 1944, where she sang in the choir for many years, was Circle leader of UM Women, taught Sunday School, and was a member of the Double Circle Class since 1949. Margaret loved to read and you’d often find her with a book in her hand.

On May 26, 1949, Margaret married Claude E. Brummett, in Hutchinson. They shared over 53 years of marriage before his death on July 16, 2002.

She is survived by: her daughter, Jerri Laster (Ralph) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; son, Scott Brummett (Donita) of Wichita; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.

Margaret was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Glenn Brummett; daughter-in-law, Mary Brummett; sisters, Fern Eales, Dorothy Robb; brothers, Cecil Eales and Dwight Eales.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Partridge Cemetery.

Kathleen 'Kathy' Ann Chastain, aged 78, died on February 7, 2026, surrounded by her family at her home in Hutchinson, KS. She was born July 26, 1947, in El Dorado, KS, to Elvis Edwin and Catherine Esther (Grant) Sullivan.

Kathy graduated from Campus High School in Wichita, KS in 1965 and later attended Central Bible College in Springfield, MO and Labette Community College in Parsons, KS.

On February 12, 1966, she married Johnnie Earl Chastain in Wichita, KS. They shared almost 60 years of marriage and had recently been planning a celebration for their upcoming anniversary.

In her free time, Kathy enjoyed scrapbooking, singing, sewing, cooking, crossword puzzles, Bible studies, teaching Sunday School, Children’s Church, directing vocal and bell choirs, and serving as the church secretary. She also enjoyed collecting angels and teacups.

Kathy understood the importance of family and dedicated her life to it. She cherished her role as a pastor’s wife and made sure she always supported her husband in every way. Their motto in marriage and ministry was: “Each for the Other and Both for the Lord.” She texted her grandchildren daily, sending them prayers and devotions, making sure they knew she was thinking of them, and giving them her famous one-line praise of “Way to Shine!” She wanted everyone to remember her voice, and her motto: “Keep looking up, smiling, and shining!”

Kathy made everything fun and was affectionately known as “Nana” by all. Easter was her favorite holiday, which included homemade bunny cakes and rides on the bunny train. She designed and oversaw a big easter egg hunt and dinner for her family, every year, without fail.

With her beautiful music talent, she wrote and sang songs for each of her grandchildren; with her artistic creativity, she created scrapbooks for every family member and recipes for every home and mastered the art of sugar-free cooking for John.&nbsp;

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Reverend John Chastain of Hutchinson; her children, Craig (Amy) Chastain of NC, Nikole (Dale) Cohen of NY, Catherine (Jeffrey) Diggs of KS, and David (Kellie) Chastain of KS; grandchildren, Ryan (Stephanie) Yanez of MI, Tiffany (Daniel) Hall of NY, Bransyn (Dr. Karissa Severud) Felty, Benjamin Yanez, Thomas (Kaylie) Diggs, Braxtyn Felty, Alaina (Tyler) Boone, Lillia (Kyle Stenzel) Diggs, and Bentyn Chastain, all of KS; great-grandchildren Chloe, Evelyn, Alexandria and Merryk; brother, Edwin (Debbie) Sullivan of KS; niece, Lisa (David) Thayer of OK; and numerous extended family and friends.&nbsp;

Vickiann “Vicki” Galloway, 68, died February 7, 2026, at her home in Partridge. She was born October 26, 1957, in Hutchinson, to Max Lynn and Clara Naomi (O’Hara) Stiggins.

Vicki graduated from Haven High School in 1975 and attended Wichita State University, earning a bachelor's degree in education. She later went on and received her master’s degree in history from Emporia State University. Vicki worked as a mail carrier for the Partridge community for many years, before becoming the librarian for the Partridge Grade School. She most recently worked at the Reno County Education Coop as a gifted facilitator until retiring at the end of 2019. Vicki enjoyed cooking and baking. Her greatest love was her family; Vicki cherished her time spent with her grandchildren and attending their school events. Vicki was a devoted member of Partridge Community Church and liked to sing in the church’s choir.

On June 3, 1979, she married Brad Harris Galloway, at Partridge Community Church, Partridge. They shared over 45 years of marriage, prior to his death on August 3, 2024.

Vicki is survived by: her sons, Tyler (Lindsey) Galloway of Nickerson and Wes (Tish Gaylord) Galloway of Haven; beloved grandchildren, Hunter (Mattyson) Galloway, Talon Lentz, both of Haven; Taylor, Paisley and Harper Galloway, all of Nickerson; great-granddaughter, Maylee Galloway of Haven; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; sisters, Janice “Jan” Richardson and Ginger Stiggins.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 23, 2026, at Partridge Community Church, 218 Main, Partridge. Cremation has taken place.

She was born October 26, 1957, in Hutchinson, to Max Lynn and Clara Naomi (O’Hara) Stiggins.Vicki graduated from Haven High School in 1975 and attended Wichita State University, earning a bachelor's degree in education. She later went on and received her master’s degree in history from Emporia State University. Vicki worked as a mail carrier for the Partridge community for many years, before becoming the librarian for the Partridge Grade School. She most recently worked at the Reno County Education Coop as a gifted facilitator until retiring at the end of 2019. Vicki enjoyed cooking and baking. Her greatest love was her family; Vicki cherished her time spent with her grandchildren and attending their school events. Vicki was a devoted member of Partridge Community Church and liked to sing in the church’s choir.On June 3, 1979, she married Brad Harris Galloway, at Partridge Community Church, Partridge. Adam A. Arevalo, 59, of Hutchinson, died unexpectedly February 7, 2026. He was born August 1, 1966, in San Antonio, Texas, to Adam M. Arevalo and Janie Brockway.&nbsp;

Adam was manager for a credit collection company in San Antonio, TX, for over 25 years before becoming manager at The Mission’s Place in Hutchinson the past 4 years. He enjoyed his work and took pride in taking care of the residents. Adam was a friendly man with a recognizable smile who enjoyed helping people. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and loved them deeply. Adam loved to go to the casinos, he was an avid poker player and known to be a very lucky Bingo player. He was a collector of dragons and swords, a lover of Diet Coke and Bacon, Egg and Cheese biscuits. &nbsp;Adam loved animals but his rescue cat “Monster” was his favorite. Later in life, Adam was blessed to build a relationship with his father as well as 5 siblings that he had never met. &nbsp;

Adam is survived by his: children, Desiree Arevalo (Marcus Heathcott), Aaron Arevalo, Samantha Crowe (Daniel), Shannon Crawford, and Jacob Crawford; siblings, Abby Gail Infante (Martin), Maricelda Arevalo, Adam A. Arevalo, Norma Arevalo, Jose Luis Arevalo, Sonia Arevalo and Thomas Magdaleno; beloved grandchildren, Conner Crowe, Ethan Crowe, and Hannah Crowe.

He was preceded in death by his parents and cousin, Sally Quintero.&nbsp;

David Lynn Allen, 81, formerly of Hutchinson, died November 17, 2025, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born November 1, 1944, in Hutchinson, to Robert Le Moyne “Bob” and June M. (Bentley) Allen.&nbsp;

David graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1962, attended Hutchinson Community Junior College, and received his bachelor’s degree in business from University of Kansas. After graduating from college, he served in the Kansas Army National Guard, then worked for Mobil Oil in Kansas City and New York City. David returned to his hometown to run the family business, Hutchinson Vending Company, with his father and brother. Later, David worked for the Wichita State University Foundation.

David was a voracious lifelong reader. He also enjoyed bowling (having once bowled a perfect 300 game); golfing; watching baseball, the Kansas City Chiefs, and Fox News; and anything to do with his beloved KU Jayhawks. He bled Crimson and Blue, and was an avid KU basketball fan. David enjoyed traveling with his wife, Jeanne, as well as the occasional adult beverage (particularly a good scotch). He also shared his love of skiing and Keystone, Colorado with his family. David was of the Methodist faith.

On February 17, 1992, David married Jeanne Nevius in Keystone, CO. They shared 33 years of marriage.&nbsp;

David is survived by his wife, Jeanne of Maize; sons, Bryce Allen (Lori) of Aurora, CO and Drew Allen (Annie) of Fairway; stepdaughter, Jaime Schneider (Dave) of South Hutchinson; daughter, Lexia Allen of Wichita; sister, Diane Hudson (Randy); grandchildren, Max Allen, Samuel Allen, Grady Allen, Zoey Allen, and Oliver Allen; step-grandchildren, Jayden McConnell and Tialyn McConnell; step-great-grandchildren, Amias McConnell and Violeta McConnell; sister-in-law, Cynthia Allen; and Bryce and Drew’s mother, Gretchen.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Mary Nell Allen; and brother, Jeff Allen.&nbsp;

Richard E. “Dick” Smith, 95, died February 7, 2026, at The Wesley, Hutchinson.&nbsp;Dick was born October 12, 1930, in Hutchinson, the son of Albert L. and Emma L. (Bohling) Smith.

He was a 1948 graduate of Hutchinson High School, 1950 graduate of Hutchinson Community College, and a 1952 graduate of Wichita State University. &nbsp;

Dick married Patricia Lawrence on August 28, 1953, in Black Forest, CO. They shared over 72 years of marriage. &nbsp;

Known as generous and kind, he was a long-time Hutchinson area businessman, entrepreneur, DOER, and a man of action. &nbsp;Dick will fondly be remembered as an innovator, leader, collaborator, team player, negotiator, mediator, and believer.

He is survived by: his wife, Pat of the home; daughters, Cathrin Carithers of Kearney, NE and Laura Smith of Hutchinson; six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Helma Morrison.

John Orva Welker, 93, died Friday, February 6, 2026, at Mennonite Friendship Manor in South Hutchinson. &nbsp;He was born, February 9, 1932, in Hutchinson to John Jefferson and Bertha Faye (Zerbe) Welker.

John was a 1950 graduate of Nickerson High School and was a member of the Sterling Bible Church.

On November 30, 1954, he married Joyce Elaine Rich at the Sterling Evangelical Mennonite Church. &nbsp;They had been married for three months when he was drafted into the United States Army where he served for two years. &nbsp;After returning from the Army, they lived on the family farm for sixty years where he was a farmer and drove a school bus for USD 310 Fairfield for 42 years. &nbsp;In 2017, they moved to South Hutchinson. &nbsp;They enjoyed 69 years of marriage prior to Joyce’s death on December 8, 2023.

Survivors include: son, Jeff (Denise) of Pretty Prairie; daughter-in-law, Carol, of Lincoln, NE; four grandchildren, Jenny (Steven) Knoche of Abbyville, Jacob (Tiffany) Welker of Stoneham, CO, Nate Welker of Omaha, NE, and Madison Welker of Lincoln, NE; and &nbsp;four great-grandchildren, Kaxton, Kolson and Kambrie Knoche and Tatum Welker.

John was preceded in death by: his wife, Joyce; son, Jerel; parents; and brother, Marion (Lois) Welker.

Thomas Earl “Tom” Dillwith, 76, of Hutchinson, died February 5, 2026, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born February 21, 1949, in Bishop, California, to Earl and Alice (Schoustra) Dillwith.

Tom was a devoted servant of God and his community. He graduated from Bishop High School and L.I.F.E. Bible College in Los Angeles. Tom faithfully served as pastor of Full Gospel Assembly in Hutchinson for more than 15 years. In addition to his pastoral ministry, he worked diligently behind the scenes, serving as custodian at Park Place Christian Church for over 30 years and in janitorial services at Hutchinson Community College for more than five years.

Tom had a deep love for genealogy and was a dedicated history enthusiast. His passion for preserving the past led him to serve as historian for the Benton, California, Museum. Above all else, Tom’s greatest passion was Bible study, which guided his life and faith. He was a cherished member of Hope Church and will be remembered for his unwavering devotion, quiet service, and love for God’s Word.

On June 5, 1971, Tom married Leela Marie Bishop in Reseda, California. They shared over 55 years of marriage. She survives.

Also surviving are: his daughters, Rachel Sisler (Roger), Catherine Marlow (Richard), all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Preston Sisler, Dena Dillwith, Anna Sisler, Ami Sisler, Josephine Eddington (Michael), Alicia Marlow, Eleanore Marlow; great-grandchildren, Willow, Acacia, Gabe, Arthur; brother, Bill Dillwith (Karen) of Fallon, NV; and many other extended family members.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Chuck and Jack.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed&nbsp;<a href="https://together.oneroomstreaming.com/NCSHPF">here</a>.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
