Leo James Kaiser, 83, died March 5, 2026, at Hospice House- Hutchinson. &nbsp;He was born December 7, 1942, to Carl and Anna Zerr Kaiser in Grainfield, KS. &nbsp;

After graduating high school, Leo worked for APAC Shears Construction retiring after over 40 years. &nbsp;He then worked for Reno County in the road maintenance department.

On August 20, 1966, Leo married Maria Marquez. &nbsp;They shared over 59 years of marriage.

Leo is survived by his: wife; children, Delbert Kaiser of Hutchinson, Michael (Lauren) Kaiser of Leawood, and Ashley (Rein) Herrman of Topeka; grandchildren, Ciarra, Kyler, Evan and Anna Kaiser and Braxten, Brysen, Beckham Herrman; and sister, Tina Leiker.

He was preceded in death by his: parents; brothers, John and Bernard; and sister, Agnes Ziegler.

Mia Ruth Carrillo was deeply loved, wanted, and was going to make an amazing addition to our family. Brielle, Aria, and Judah were all looking forward to another sibling to love and hold.

Our hearts are heavy, but even in this painful moment we still find reasons to give thanks.

Thankful that this baby will never experience pain or hurt.Thankful that this baby will never have to learn what sin is or how cruel this world can be.Thankful that this baby only ever knew and felt love.We love you, Mia Ruth, and oh how we wish you were here in our arms. But for now, we take comfort in knowing that the ultimate Healer and Father is holding you in His. If you cannot be in our arms, we are thankful to know you are in His.

Mia Ruth Carrillo is survived by her parents, Jose and Paige Carrillo of Hutchinson, Kansas; her siblings, Brielle, Aria, and Judah; her paternal aunts, Mary and Francisca Carrillo, and cousin Linnea Phillips of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and her paternal grandparents, Abel Carrillo and Celia Carrillo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her maternal aunt and uncle, Paisley and J.T. Duree of Hutchinson, Kansas, and her maternal grandparents, Roy and Brenda Jaye of Hutchinson, Kansas.

Mia was preceded in death by her uncle, Jace Jaye, and her cousin, Asa Jaye.

Charles “Chuck” Edward Hale, 74, died March 4, 2026, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born October 1, 1951, in Fort Worth, TX, to Joe and Dorothy (Bennett) Hale.

Chuck graduated from Northside High School, Northside, TX. He worked as a drilling rig operator for Martin and Martin, TX, FALCO, Louisville, KY and Koker Drilling Company, OH. Chuck enjoyed attending the shooting range, playing foosball, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He loved to spend time on the open road with his Harley motorcycle.&nbsp;

Chuck married Sally Ann Hoffman, together they raised three children, they later divorced. She survives.

Charles is survived by: his children, Lualice (Richard) Gibbs of Hutchinson; Edwin (Halley) Hale and Benjamin Hale, both of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Bridgette, Tristan, Camryn, Edwin “EJ”, August, and Truman; great-grandchildren, Persephone, Atlas and Hyperion; brother, Jody Hale of Texas; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter, Felicia Armstrong; and sisters, Karen Marks, Nancy Hale and Mary Ann Hale.

Mary Lucille Neptune was born on July 2, 1932 in Wanetta, Kansas to Mary and Lester Huddle. She married Marvin Neptune on January 4, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas. To this marriage, they had two daughters, Deborah Jean and Christina Lea. They lived in Wichita for 70 years.

Lucille worked at Stat Labs in Wichita for several years as a lab technician. She also made wedding cakes for years along with her mother.

She was a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Wichita. Lucille was also a member of the Red Hats Society.

Lucille and Marvin were avid travelers and wintered in Mesa, Arizona for many years.

Lucille passed away on March 2, 2026 at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community in Buhler, Kansas at the age of 93 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Violet Miller.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Arnold (Larry) of Hutchinson, KS and Christina Barnett (Eric) of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Greg Weis, Tiffany Weis, and Amy Barnett; and eight great-grandchildren.

Cremation is planned. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 13, 2026 at El Paso Cemetery, Derby, KS. A celebration of life will follow the service at Olive Garden in Derby. Timothy C. Fast, 78, passed away February 26, 2026, at Hospice House of Reno County in Hutchinson, KS. He was born on January 15, 1948, in McPherson, KS, and was the beloved son of David D. and Frances E. (Steward) Fast. Tim shared a close bond with his grandparents, D.G. and Anne Fast, and spent much of his youth working on their farm, which taught him the value of hard work. He and his family attended Zoar Mennonite Church in Inman, KS, where Tim made a declaration of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of eight.

Tim graduated from Inman High School in 1966 before enrolling at Hutchinson Community College. He was called to serve in the 1-W Service at General Rose Hospital in Denver, CO. After returning to Kansas, Tim worked in the computer programming department at Hesston Corporation while completing his studies at Hutchinson Community College. He then attended Bethany College in Lindsborg, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and worked as an insurance adjustor for Farmer’s Alliance Insurance Company in McPherson. Discovering his true passion in financial planning, Tim became a representative for Waddell &amp; Reid, Inc., where his dedication and expertise led to a promotion, as division manager and numerous awards. He valued the relationships he built with clients, treating them as extended family. Most recently, he represented LPL Financial, continuing his commitment to helping others secure their financial futures.

Tim enjoyed farming during his free time and was particularly interested in salvaging wood from old barn. With the help of family, he took on the ambitious project of building a house. Known as a perpetual dealmaker, Tim’s love of negotiating began in his youth and was a constant throughout his life. He was sociable, always ready with a quick smile, sharp wit, and infectious laugh. His hobbies included riding his Harley motorcycle and reading the Wall Street Journal, keeping a stack of editions for moments when he could catch up on his reading. Tim also had a deep affection for animals, caring for many pets over the years, from a childhood lamb to numerous dogs and cats. His faith was important to him; he attended several churches over his lifetime and was in the process of copying the Bible by hand. Before his death, Tim expressed his readiness to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Tim is survived by his daughter Monica (Clinton) Hageman; siblings, Karen Sites, Vernon Fast, David (Karen) Fast, Leland Fast; six grandchildren, Caleb (Kelsi) Hageman, Eric (Lindsey) Harper, Brooke (J.B.) Gillespie, Baye (Josh) Harter, Cassandra (Neil) Dodson, Chase (Abby) Hageman; and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Valerie Fast; and his infant brother, Stephen Fast.

A remembrance of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Stephon Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Inman North Cemetery, Inman, KS. Ruth Louise (Wiebe) Regehr, 95, formerly of Hutchinson, passed away in Rainbow Bend on February 27, 2026. She was born August 21, 1930, in Hillsboro, to Peter K. and Elsie Lizzie (Schroeder) Wiebe. &nbsp;

Ruth graduated from Walton High School, Walton, KS.&nbsp;

On September 20, 1959, she married Gus Regehr, in Walton. &nbsp;Soon after, they moved to Hutchinson where they made their home until shortly before Gus’ death on February 11, 2019. Gus and Ruth moved to Rainbow Bend, KS, where they lived with Judy and Kathy. &nbsp;After Gus died, Judy and Kathy provided Ruth with unconditional love, care, and pampering for the past seven years.&nbsp;

Ruth spent the early years of their marriage maintaining their home and caring for their three children. She was a seasonal employee at Dillons and was later employed by JoAnn Fabrics. Ruth was a longtime volunteer at the Et Cetera Shop, Hutchinson. &nbsp;In addition, she was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church in Inman (currently, Living Grace Church) where Ruth taught Bible school, Sunday school, and helped with church dinners. &nbsp;Ruth was service oriented, compassionate, and supportive of her family. She cooked many awesome family meals, cherished visits with family near and far, and enjoyed a good book and a fun board game. Ruth will be remembered as a loving grandmother, caring mother, a vivid storyteller, and a good friend.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Gus, her parents, sisters Ethlyn Goertz and husband Alvin, Inez Koehn and husband George, brother Jim Wiebe, nephews Jim, Stan and Steve Koehn, and niece Edith Schultz, along with Gus’s parents and siblings.&nbsp;

She is survived by her daughter Judy (Kathy) of Rainbow Bend, son Don (Marlene) of Great Bend, and son Leon (Ruth) of Clarinda, IA, sister-in-law Charlotte Wiebe of Newton, grandchildren Kyle (Amanda) Auffert and Heather (Brad) Auffert, Lance Regehr, Allison (Cav) Newman and Madison Regehr, great-grandsons Easton and Nolan Auffert, and several nieces and nephews. Ruth is also survived by the many kind friends and healthcare workers, and hospice employees who have provided her care for several years.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Elliott Chapel with Chaplain Julie Lashier officiating. &nbsp;Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Connie Dickinson, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on February 26, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on September 13, 1950, in Hutchinson, Kansas, she lived a life full of laughter, love, and an unmistakable zest for life that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Connie could often be found out and about with friends and family — singing, dancing, joking, and filling every room with warmth and laughter. Her playful spirit and quick wit were hallmarks of who she was. Those who knew her well, knew never to expect a dull moment when Connie was around; she was always the best partner in crime, always in on the joke.

Her love for animals was as genuine as her love for people, and her four-legged companions were cherished members of the family. Over the years, Connie gave her time and talents to a variety of endeavors — including her work at Bank of Kansas, Russ Lyon Realty, and Windy City Management — as well as deeply meaningful volunteer work with hospice, a testament to her compassionate heart and desire to serve others.

At the center of Connie's world was her adoring husband, Roger. It was not unusual to see the two of them together — smiling, laughing, sharing a loving glance, or simply holding hands. Theirs was one of those rare and beautiful partnerships that reminded everyone around them what true love looks like.

When Connie married Roger, she gained not only a devoted husband, but a daughter, Lori, who gave Connie one of her greatest joys: the privilege of being a doting grandmother.

And then there was Chris. Christine Swann was not just Connie's daughter — she was the other great love of her life, her heart, and her whole world. The apple did not fall far from the tree. Christine inherited her mother's fierce devotion to friends and family, her gift for laughter, and that unmistakable spark that draws people in and makes them feel at home. Watching the two of them together was witnessing a bond built not just on love, but on genuine delight in one another. Connie's legacy of joy, warmth, and laughter lives on in her daughter Christine — and that is one of the greatest gifts she leaves behind.

Connie is also survived by her younger sister, Renee King, a cherished and constant presence in her life. The two shared a bond that only sisters can truly understand — a relationship built over a lifetime of joy, grace, and laughter. In Renee, Connie found not just a sister, but a kindred spirit and a forever friend.

Betty Jane Hendrickson, aged 86, died on February 7, 2026, surrounded by her family at Hospice House of Reno County in Hutchinson, KS. She was born on March 8, 1939 in Collyer, KS to Raymond Billinger and Katherine (Flagler) Billinger.

Betty graduated from Trego High School in 1957 and attended business school in Omaha, NE.

On July 4, 1959, she married James Hendrickson in Hutchinson, KS. They had six children, whom Betty loved dearly, and together they shared many beautiful memories by traveling, attending music concerts and plays, going to the movies, and taking drives through the countryside to collect wildflowers.

Betty began her career at Answerite as a switchboard operator before joining the Reno County Health Department, where she served as a phone operator. She retired from the Reno County Health Department in 2011. After retiring, she continued working part-time as a guest relations hostess at Conklin Cars until 2020.

Betty was a member of Reno County Choral Society, the Legion of Mary, the Red Hatters Club, the Kansas Authors Club, the Horticultural Club, and the Reno County Health Department Retiree Club. She attended St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, where she was active in the Altar Society. Betty generously gave her time helping with turkey dinners and Saturday bingo, caring for the flowers and plants around St. Teresa’s Family Center, and assisting with many other church activities. She also volunteered at Birthright.

Betty dearly loved the cats she adopted and cared for throughout the years, especially “Gizmo,” who brought her great love and comfort in her final years. She had a tender heart for all animals and would even feed squirrels and opossums that came to her door. Her many hobbies included flower arranging, gardening, jewelry making, decorating for the holidays, and creating yard art. In her later years, she enjoyed painting, listening to mystery audiobooks, and watching Storage Wars.

Betty is survived by her children: Laura (Mark) Oler, Julie Dale, Tina (Chris) Knowles, Michelle (Kevin) Wineinger, and Jennifer Hendrickson (Cornell Ross); 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Katherine Billinger; her sister, Ethel Hillman; her son, John Hendrickson; and her granddaughter, Stacy Dale.

A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held at St. Teresa’s Church in Hutchinson, KS, on April 9, 2026 Rosary at 10:30AM with Mass to follow at 11:00AM with a luncheon to follow burial at Fairlawn Burial Park in Hutchinson, KS at 2:00PM. Gillette Ragsdale, 33, passed away February 25, 2026, at his home. He was born May 20, 1992, in Temple, TX, to Antonio G. Ragsdale and Debra Dianne Diggs.

Gillette graduated from Temple H.S. in Temple, TX in 2010. He worked at Agco and as a Laborer/Spotter for Centerline Energy Construction. Gillette enjoyed fishing, traveling, camping, going to Waynoka, playing guitar and soccer. He also enjoyed playing video games, especially World of Warcraft, watching Game of Thrones and Anime, particularly, Dragonball Z. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Gillette is survived by: his parents, Antonio Ragsdale and Debra Tutor; twin-brother, Jordan Ragsdale and wife Taylor; sisters, Janie Werner and husband Jordan; Nona Zellmar and fiancé David Tracy; three nieces; one nephew; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Dr. Robert Thomas Morrison, age 95, died February 22, 2026, at Hospice House in Hutchinson.&nbsp;

He was born February 12, 1931, in Caldwell County, Missouri, the son of Robert Paul Morrison and Alice Loretta (Webster) Morrison. He was educated at country schools until high school, when his parents moved to Hamilton, Missouri, so that he and his siblings would have better educational opportunities. In his senior year at Hamilton High School, he was president of the student body, valedictorian, editor of the yearbook, member of an undefeated football team, and winner of the 440-yard dash in the conference track meet, establishing a school record.

At the University of Missouri, he majored in zoology and prepared for dental school, receiving his A.B. degree in 1953. While there he was a proud member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.

He attended dental school at the University of Kansas City (now University of Missouri—Kansas City), where he was elected to the Psi Omega dental fraternity, which chose him as its outstanding freshmen. In the middle of his junior year, he was accepted into a three-year orthodontic scholarship program, which he completed one and a half years after graduating from dental school. During his last year, he was designated an associate professor and was permitted to act as an instructor. Upon receiving his certificate in orthodontics, he continued teaching until the summer of 1959, when he moved to Hutchinson. He practiced orthodontics in Hutchinson in and Great Bend, Kansas, until his retirement in 2006.

Dr. Morrison was entirely devoted to his profession, his patients, and his practice. &nbsp;

He was a past president of the Hutchinson Dental Study Club, the Central District Dental Society, the Kansas Association of Orthodontists and the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists. &nbsp;He was a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the World Federation of Orthodontists, and was a Fellow of both the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.

He served on the Membership Council of the American Association of Orthodontists from 1976 to 1985 and chaired that Council in 1985. He was appointed to the Council on Governmental Affairs of the American Association of Orthodontists in 1991 and he chaired that Council in 1997 and 1998. He chaired the Regents Round Table of the American Association of Orthodontists for ten years beginning in 1998.

In the fall of 1986, he was diagnosed with colon cancer, which required a comprehensive surgery and the removal of his lower colon. He felt very fortunate to be able to continue his practices in both Hutchinson and Great Bend for another twenty years before retiring.

He was an active member of the Hutchinson Rotary Club. He taught a Sunday school class at Trinity United Methodist Church, where he was chairman of the Administrative Board.

He married Wanda Irene Stalcup in 1958 and they had three sons: Robert Torrence of Asheville, North Carolina; Reed Thomas of San Pedro, California; and Richard Thane (Rebecca) of Arlington, Virginia. He also leaves three grandsons, Robert Simon Morrison, Maximilian Morrison, and Leopold Morrison; a brother, Ronald Paul Morrison (Louise); and a sister-in-law, Donna Whitehouse. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marlene Hart and by Wanda, his beloved wife of 61 years.

Dr. Morrison is remembered for his love and support of his wife and sons, and for his contributions to the Hutchinson community.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1602 North Main, Hutchinson. Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Raeleen Chesney, 75, of Hutchinson, passed at her residence February 24, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was born June 27, 1950, in Salina, Kansas, to Ernest and Margaret (Barton) Stehno.&nbsp;

Raeleen was raised in Lucas, Kansas, where she graduated high school in 1968. She attended Fort Hays State University where she attained her Certified Nursing Assistants license. Raeleen worked at the Mennonite Manor for many years. She retired from Kansas Department of Children and Families after 18 years of service.&nbsp;

Raeleen’s focus in life was her family. She cherished family time whether during Christmas Eve celebrations or just visiting in her home. Raeleen spent countless hours crafting, quilting, and crocheting making her the “quintessential grandmother.”

Raeleen’s greatest legacy is one of friendship. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, or to just share a story at the grocery store. Her children often joked that, “you can’t take Mom anywhere because she knows everyone.”

In 1993, Raeleen met Robert Reed. They shared 33 years of life together as devoted partners.&nbsp;

Raeleen is survived by her beloved spouse, Robert Reed of Hutchinson; children, Dede Lorson of Abilene, Jason (Tammy) Chesney of Nickerson, Crystal (Jason) Cunningham of Hutchinson, Justin (Erynn) Chesney of Hutchinson, and Elizabeth (James) Carter of (Blue Springs, MO); step-children, Edie (Eric) Shuff of Derby, Ivan Reed of Wichita, and Gene (Tiffeney) Reed of Hutchinson; 31 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Delma (Bryce) Naegele of Lucas.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Margaret Stehno, and one brother.&nbsp;

Celebration of life will take place Thursday, March 5, 2026, at three o’clock p.m. at Crossroads Christian Church 4310 N. Monroe, Hutchinson, Kansas. A private burial will take place in Lucas, Kansas, with immediate family.

Curtis E. Richardson, 49, passed away February 21, 2026, in Pratt, Kansas. He was born April 16, 1976, in Hutchinson, to James Eugene and Jacqueline (Clough) Richardson.

Curtis received his GED and attended HCC Vo-Tech program for woodworking and plumbing/HVAC. He worked at Collins Bus and as a maintenance mechanic at Tyson Foods. In his spare time, he went four-wheeling, collecting antiques, especially stained glass, and classic cars. He enjoyed listening to George Jones and country rap as well as going on walkabouts. Most of all, he loved bonfires with his family and close circle of friends.

Curtis is survived by: his brother, Jeff Richardson; sister, Trudy Haynes; close cousin, Marty Althaus; two nephews; two nieces; five great-nieces and nephews; many other cousins, extended family and close circle of friends.

Curtis was preceded in death by: his parents; nephew, Jase A. Richardson; and grandparents, Clarence and Bessie Richardson.

Wilma Gene “Genie” Popp, 97, of Haven, died February 22, 2026, at Diversicare of Hutchinson. She was born August 3, 1928, in Hutchinson, to Clarence A. and Donna M. (Sterling) Hodges.

Genie graduated from Hutchinson High School and went on to dedicate her life to her family and community. In addition to being a devoted farm wife and loving mother of four sons, she worked as a clerk at Haven Drug Store and later at the Medical Center pharmacy in Hutchinson, where she remained until her retirement. Genie had a gift for caring for others, serving as a caregiver for many people in their homes over the years. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—cooking meals for those she loved, sewing for her family, and tending to her garden, especially her beautiful flowers.

On May 8, 1948, Genie married Harry A. Popp, in Hutchinson. They shared over 47 years of marriage before his passing on November 9, 1996.

She is survived by: her sons, Bill and Sondra Popp of Hutchinson, Dan Popp of Hutchinson, Chuck Popp of Haven, Kevin and Trasi Popp of Haven; grandchildren: Cameron Popp (Andrea Cordero), Megan Miller (Dustin), Sharon Swarts (Casey), Tonya Wolfe, Travis Popp, Kensie Popp; great-grandchildren, Noah Popp, Miriam Popp, Brody Miller, Whitney Miller, Justin Swarts, Elizabeth Swarts; many nieces and nephews.

Genie was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; sisters, Betty Burdick, Pauline Popp, Ila Phillips, Barbara Johnson; brothers, Jack Hodges, Ben Hodges; and daughter-in-law, Pam Popp.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Laurel Cemetery, 5395 E Greenfield Rd., Haven.

In addition to being a devoted farm wife and loving mother of four sons, she worked as a clerk at Haven Drug Store and later at the Medical Center pharmacy in Hutchinson, where she remained until her retirement. Genie had a gift for caring for others, serving as a caregiver for many people in their homes over the years. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—cooking meals for those she loved, sewing for her family, and tending to her garden, especially her beautiful flowers.On May 8, 1948, Genie married Harry A. Popp, in Hutchinson. Alice Marie Eshbaugh, 90, died February 23, 2026, surrounded by her family, in Hutchinson. She was the only girl out of eleven children born to Wilber Enlo and Juanita Mae (Ferguson) Houchin, on August 12, 1935, in Fredonia.&nbsp;

Alice was a 1953 graduate of Coyville High School, Coyville, KS. She was the owner and operator of Alice’s Ceramic Nook as well as a partner with her husband Leland in the operations of Leland's Body Shop in Ulysses. Alice was very involved with the 4H clubs in Ulysses as an instructor for ceramics and judging at surrounding county fairs. She enjoyed China painting and was the go-to person for her painting the eyes on ceramics for many people. Alice also worked at JoAnn Fabrics and Midwest Sewing, Hutchinson. Alice had a passion for sewing and loved to quilt and work on different projects. Alice was a member of Lighthouse Bible Church, Buhler.

On October 25, 1953, she married Leland Henry Eshbaugh in Coyville. They shared over 39 years of marriage prior to his death on January 26, 1993.&nbsp;

Charles “Mark” Ebeling, 63, died peacefully with his family by his side, February 21, 2026, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. &nbsp;He was born August 12, 1962, in Hutchinson, to Charles Louis and Shirley (Mock) Ebeling.

Mark graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1980, and Hutchinson Community College in 1982. &nbsp;He was Vice-President and Service Manager for Ebeling Pools, Inc. Mark enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and refinishing furniture and antiques and also served as a board member for Hutchinson Zoo for several years.

While in high school, he played baritone for one summer with the Sky Ryders Drum &amp; Bugle Corps. Mark loved to talk about that summer, describing his experience as “the best summer I ever had”. &nbsp;His best times later in life were traveling to Alabama, making memories with his five grandchildren.

On October 4, 1986, he married Lorry Albright, in Hutchinson.

Mark is survived by: his mother, Shirley Brandyberry of Hutchinson; wife of almost 40 years, Lorry Ebeling of Hutchinson; children, Ashley Griffith (Robert) of Prattville, AL, Jessica Miller (Adam), and Chase Ebeling, all of Hutchinson; siblings, Cheryl Riemann (Gene) of South Hutchinson, Marcia Trebilcock (Greg) of Wichita, Cindy Childs (Glen) of Hutchinson, Bill Ebeling (Brenda) of Buhler, and Terri Banker (Terry Bether) of Inman; grandchildren, Meg Houts, Brandon Griffith, Austin Griffith, Connor Griffith, and Elizabeth Griffith, all of Alabama; mother-in-law, Claudia Albright of Pretty Prairie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.&nbsp;

Linda Delores Zerger, 91, died February 21, 2026, at The Arbors at Waldron Place, Hutchinson. She was the youngest of seven children born to Reinhold J. “Ray” and Emilia K. (Fischer) Borth, on December 27, 1934, in Turkey Creek Township, McPherson County.&nbsp;

Linda graduated from Castleton High School in 1952. She worked for the United States Postal Service as a rural postal carrier for many years. Linda also worked hand in hand with her husband on their farm in rural southwest Reno County. She loved to spend time in her large garden and tending to her iris’. Linda was a great cook and canned many of the vegetables she grew in her garden. She also looked forward to attending the Kansas State Fair every year with her husband. Linda was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.

On November 8, 1955, she married Victor Gene “Vic” Zerger, in Hutchinson. They shared over 60 years of marriage prior to his death on October 24, 2016.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Pam (Jim) Chastain of South Hutchinson as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Vic Zerger; siblings, Olga Unruh, Ben Borth, Frieda Robinett, Al Borth, Edward Borth, and Alice Blew.

Linda Delores Zerger |1934-2026|

The matriarch of the Rumford Rodeo family, Lola Mayrea Rumford, passed away peacefully at her home on the plains of Abbyville, Kansas, on February 16, 2026, surrounded by her family, after 98 full and beautiful years of life.

Born on September 28, 1927, in Hutchinson, she was the daughter of Sid and Cora Cook, Lola grew up in Abbyville alongside her three sisters and graduated from Abbyville High School. On March 23, 1947, she married her hometown cowboy, Charles Floyd Jr. Rumford.

Marrying a bronc buster and lifelong cowboy swept Lola into a life of rodeo. She became a rodeo secretary in 1951 and received her PRCA card in 1984. Together, she and Floyd traveled the country as the Rumford Rodeo Company, sharing their love of the western sport everywhere they went. The unbelievable stories they had to share of their many miles on the rodeo trail are cherished by all who were fortunate to hear them or witness it.

Lola and Floyd were blessed with two sons, Bronc and Tommy, who carried on the family rodeo legacy. That legacy continues today through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed church on Sundays, yard work in her swimsuit, singing the doxology before every meal, hosting whoever came through her door, and working hard and praying alongside Floyd. She will be remembered for the lipstick she always carried in her purse and never letting even the last bit of jalapeno jelly at the bottom of the jar go to waste.

Lola Rumford was caring, classy, determined and tough. Many knew her as always a lady even though she could out work any man and knew rodeo better than any cowboy. She was one in a million and will be deeply missed.

She now rests again beside her beloved husband and lifelong partner in rodeo, Floyd. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Flo, Annie, and Babe as well as her youngest son, Tommy.

She is survived by: her son Bronc and his wife, Kate; grandchildren, Haley and Tim Bridwell, parents of Jaden, Jace, Jaret, and Jaxston Schneeberger; Justin and Ashley Rumford, parents of Lola, Livi, and Bandy Rumford; and Tyrell and Alexis Rumford, parents of Roo Rumford; granddaughter Tamara, daughter of Tommy, and her sons, Hendrix and Hadley.

The family invites you to celebrate Lola’s life and legacy on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Abbyville Community Church. Together, she and Floyd traveled the country as the Rumford Rodeo Company, sharing their love of the western sport everywhere they went. The unbelievable stories they had to share of their many miles on the rodeo trail are cherished by all who were fortunate to hear them or witness it.Lola and Floyd were blessed with two sons, Bronc and Tommy, who carried on the family rodeo legacy. That legacy continues today through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.She enjoyed church on Sundays, yard work in her swimsuit, singing the doxology before every meal, hosting whoever came through her door, and working hard and praying alongside Floyd. She will be remembered for the lipstick she always carried in her purse and never letting even the last bit of jalapeno jelly at the bottom of the jar go to waste.Lola Rumford was caring, classy, determined and tough. Many knew her as always a lady even though she could out work any man and knew rodeo better than any cowboy. She was one in a million and will be deeply missed.She now rests again beside her beloved husband and lifelong partner in rodeo, Floyd. Jack L. McHaley, 96, long-time resident of Hutchinson, died February 19, 2026, in Wichita at Oxford Vista. He was born January 13, 1930, in Reese, Kansas, to George and Marie (Hatheway) McHaley.&nbsp;

On December 13, 1950, he married the love of his life, Anita J. Cooper, in McPherson. They shared nearly 44 years of marriage before her death on July 14, 1994.&nbsp;

Jack was a music enthusiast who had a love for the steel guitar. He was a talented guitarist who performed with his brothers in the band “Country Four”. Jack preferred country music and loved listening to Alan Jackson, Merle Haggard, and George Jones. He enjoyed bowling and proudly bowled a perfect 300 in the 1990’s. Jack was a die-hard St Louis Cardinals, KU basketball and Kansas City Chiefs fan.&nbsp;Jack is survived by his: children, Belenda Collins of Goddard and Jack McHaley Jr. of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Dustin (Michelle) Collins of Wichita, Tonya (Barry) Fletcher of Texas, and Christie England; great-grandchildren, Brandon Collins and Kacey Collins both of Wichita, Dylan Fletcher of Texas, and Chey England.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by: beautiful wife, Anita McHaley; his parents, George and Marie; brothers, Myron, George Jr., and Charles McHaley; daughter-in-law, Sandy McHaley; granddaughter, Toni Lynn McHaley.&nbsp;

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with Chaplain Edward Peeples officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd, Hutchinson.&nbsp;

Karin Elaine Swysgood, 56, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2026, gone far too soon.

Karin had a gift for making people feel at home, especially through her love of cooking. She didn't just cook for herself - she cooked to bring people together, to show love, to make someone's day a little brighter.

She cherished time spent with her niece Amanda and nephew Tyler, creating memories that they'll carry with them always. Those who knew Karin knew she was sweet-hearted and generous, but also delightfully stubborn when she'd made up her mind about something. Her greatest love, though, was reserved for her dogs - Jinkers, Eevee, and Harv - who were her constant companions and brought her endless joy.

She is survived by her mother, Marge Swysgood; her brothers Kevin of Hutchinson, Kansas, David (Diane)Swysgood, and Daniel (Elizabeth) Swysgood; her niece Amanda Swysgood; her nephew Tyler Swysgood; and numerous other family members and loved ones who will miss her deeply.

A memorial service will be held this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Reno County CASA.

Kent James Longenecker, age 77, died February 14, 2026, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. &nbsp;He was born July 2, 1948, in Joplin, MO, son to Jack Edwin and Janet Karen (McBeath) Longenecker. Kent graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1966, and the University of Kansas in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism.&nbsp;

Kent was committed to his loving family and a dear friend and mentor to many. He enjoyed music, art, golf, sports, laughter and companionship. Kent consistently showed up for others and for his community. He was a lifelong learner with a developed expertise in diverse areas of finance and business. Kent gave generously of his time to numerous organizations.&nbsp;

Kent built his career in the banking and financial services industry. He was the Chief Operating Officer at Data Center Inc. and prior to that was a Loan Officer at First National Bank of Hutchinson. Kent served as Director and Member of Executive Committee for Railroad Financial Corporation and Railroad Savings Bank. More recently he acted as the General Manager for JML Ventures LP. Contributing to his community, Kent provided guidance in his role as Trustee for the James A. &amp; Juliet L. Davis Foundation, the Delos V. Smith Senior Citizen Foundation, the Hutchinson Regional Medical Foundation and the Cosmosphere Foundation. Kent played an active role as a Board Member and Foundation member for the Hutchinson Historic Fox Theatre and a Board Member and Club Treasurer for Prairie Dunes Country Club. He served as a Director for the Homeowners Association Board of the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado and as an Advisory Director for Fee Insurance Group.&nbsp;

On July 29, 1972 Kent married Diane Meyer at Grace Episcopal Church, Hutchinson. Kent is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Diane Longenecker of Hutchinson and his children, Graham Longenecker of Overland Park, KS, Kristin Glascock (John-Paul) of Laguna Beach, CA, and Karen Longenecker (Dax Samuel Chitechi) of Denver, CO; his brother Bruce Longenecker (Jan) of Pauma Valley, CA and his sister Dr. Betsy Longenecker (Dr. Dave Dietel) of Grand Junction, CO; his grandsons, Liam Kent Glascock and Gilbert Micah Kent Chitechi; his nephews, Scott Dietel, and Jack Dietel (Kendra Baughn); and his nieces, Lisa Longenecker, and Kim Hanson (Michael). &nbsp;He was preceded in death by his parents.
