HUTCHINSON, Kan.: (Transcript from KWBW Sports) 7:11am on BW Radio, time to turn to sports. Football. Yesterday, two games it was Cincinnati beating Buffalo 27 to 10 and the late game the San Francisco 49'ers beat the Cowboys 19 to 12, so it sets up the AFC and NFC Championship games this coming Sunday.
The first game will be San Francisco at Philadelphia, 2:00 on Fox and then Cincinnati and Kansas City at 5:30 on CBS. Our coverage of both games will begin at 1pm on the Westwood One Radio Network. As once the Chiefs make the AFC Championship game, we are no longer provided their audio from Mitch and company.
NFL rules the fifth year in a row the Chiefs have made the AFC Championship game in the fifth year in a row that we're not able to provide their broadcast audio.
Another Chiefs Kingdom show tonight with Mitch and the guys from 7 to 8 here on BW. Kansas City will be the first team in NFL history to host those five straight AFC championship games when they face the Bengals Sunday.
Limited number of tickets for the matchup go on sale to the public at 11:00 today. Jackson County taxpayers will have a pre-sale opportunity to purchase single game AFC championship tickets from 8 to 9:30 am. Season ticket holders will have the opportunity at 10:00.
HutchCC men's basketball team forced 27 Thunderbird turnovers and pulled away from a game that was tied with 50 seconds to go. To beat cloud 88-82. Hutchinson Men improved to 13 and 6 overall 7 and 6 in Jayhawk play.
They'll next host Pratt at 7:30 Wednesday at the arena. As leading the way Aaron Franklin he had 19 Jayfon Garrison chipped in 18. Sophomore Ra'saun Frederick had 13 points.
Sophomore Mia Williams became the sixth HutchCC women's basketball player to reach the 1,000 career point mark Sunday as the Dragons have won six straight.
Williams scored a game high 23 to lead the Hutchinson women to a 75-66 win. They're now 16 and 4. Freshman Journey Armstead had 17 boards and 4 assists.

The Shockers get a win on the road in Dallas as they beat SMU. Jaquan Walton had 18 points. Wichita State moves to 10-9, 3 and 4 in conference play.
James Rojas, the former Blue Dragon, a double double, 12 points, 10 rebounds. Congrats to him.
KU looks to break a two game losing streak. They're on the road at Baylor. It doesn't get any easier. The Jayhawks have to figure out how to get scoring elsewhere other than Jalen Wilson. Game time 8:00 on ESPN.
Well, it was the 21st time the Hutchinson Salt Hawks played in the Dodge City Tournament of Champions over their 80 year history. And when the dust settled Saturday night, Hutchinson outlasted Maize South, winning 67-56, and they won the tournament for only the third time in school history. The last two times happened back in the eighties, in 1982 and 1986. Hutchinson 11-0 travels to 8-3 Derby for a game tomorrow. A stand alone game because the girls will be playing in a tournament coming up Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Later this week.
