Former Maize High quarterback and future K-State Wildcat Avery Johnson has announced his first major NIL deal. Johnson revealed that he has an agreement with Robbins Motor Company, which is a car dealership with locations in Manhattan, Junction City, Topeka, the Flint Hills and surrounding areas in central Kansas. Johnson has a NIL valuation of 237,000, which is the 27th best valuation among high school football players in the 2023 class.
Seven time All-Star Aroldis Chapman headed to the Royals. MLB.com reports that Chapman and the Royals agreed to terms on a one year $3.75 million contract. Left handed reliever was foreign for nine saves in ERA a 4.46 in 43 relief appearances last year, with New York.
