🏀 MBB: Lawson added to KU alumni team roster

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Former Kansas forward Dedric Lawson is the most recent addition to the Mass Street roster for the upcoming TBT regional next month in Wichita.

The 6-foot-9 native of Memphis, Tennessee played for Bill Self and the Jayhawks during the 2018-19 season after transferring from Memphis. While at Kansas, Lawson played and started 36 games, averaging 19.4 points, 10.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. He was a 1st Team All-Big 12 team following the season and was also selected as a 1st Team All-Big 12 Tournament selection.

Lawson opted to forgo his final season of collegiate eligibility and declared for the 2019 NBA Draft. He was not selected in the draft and played in the NBA G League. After playing one season in the G League, Lawson played overseas in Turkey.

The 25-year-old is now added to a roster that already has Tyshawn Taylor, Thomas Robinson, Keith Langford and Marcus Garrett onboard. You can find more information about the Mass Street team here.
