Enrollment is now open for the 2026-2027 school year at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hutchinson, with families able to register their children at no cost thanks to grant funding, United Way support, and community donations.
Club officials announced that membership will be free for the upcoming school year, allowing more local youth to participate in the organization's after-school programming.
Parents are invited to attend an open house at their child's designated site on Tuesday, Aug. 11, between 4 and 6 p.m. The school-year program officially begins Wednesday, Aug. 12.
The Boys & Girls Clubs will operate two locations based on grade level. The Avenue A School site, located at 111 S. Madison, will serve students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The Shadduck Park site, located at 600 W. Second Ave., will serve students in sixth grade and above.
Officials noted that if enrollment reaches capacity for a grade level at the Avenue A location, a waitlist will be created through the parent portal. As openings become available during the school year, families on the waitlist will be contacted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Parents interested in enrolling their children are encouraged to complete registration as early as possible to secure a spot before grade-level capacity is reached.
