ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — The Denver Broncos have agreed to a one-year deal with former Kansas City Chiefs edge rusher Frank Clark following third-year pro Baron Browning's knee operation, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press.

Browning underwent a procedure in recent weeks to repair a torn meniscus, according to the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because the team hasn't publicly addressed the outside linebacker's health status and won't discuss Clark's contract until he signs. Browning is expected to be back for training camp next month.

Clark, who turns 30 next week, was cut recently by the Chiefs in a cost-saving move. He's a ninth-year pro who had five sacks for the Super Bowl champs last year. He spent his first four seasons in Seattle, collecting 35 sacks and 72 quarterback hits.

His best season came in 2018 when he set career highs with 13 sacks and two dozen QB hits, but all three of his Pro Bowl berths came with the Chiefs between 2019 and 2021.

Clark is expected to step in opposite starter Randy Gregory, at least until Browning returns. Both Browning and Gregory have a long history of injuries that have sidelined them.

Gregory was limited to three starts and two sacks last year, his first in Denver, and Browning collected five sacks in eight starts.

Clark has never played in fewer than 14 games in his eight-year NFL career. But he was suspended for two games last season for violating the league's personal conduct policy. The suspension stemmed from his no-contest plea to two counts of misdemeanor possession of an assault weapon in separate incidents in 2021.

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The Wind Surge hit a pair of home runs from Seth Gray and Yunior Severino but its was not enough as Wichita fell to the San Antonio Missions 5-4. In the fourth game of the six-game series San Antonio extended their series lead 3-1.

The Missions did not waste any time scoring. The Missions got a pair of hits and scored a run on a Daniel Johnson ground out.

The Wind Surge responded with a nice second inning of their own. After two quick outs, Alex Isola doubled on a line drive to left field and Jake Rucker was hit by a pitch. This set up Gray to hit a three-run homer over the right field wall that gave the Surge the lead.

Pierson Ohl made his pitching debut for the Wind Surge. He settled down after allowing one run in the first and pitched three scoreless innings after that. The day fell apart for Ohl in the bottom of the fifth inning when he gave up four runs and was replaced by Hunter McMahon. McMahon was able to strike out one of the batters he faced and escaped the inning with no more runs scored.

The Surge had a late glimmer of hope when Yunior Severino crushed his own solo home run in the top of the eighth with two outs. Efrain Contreras pitched six inning and earned the win for the Missions and Nick Hernandez retired the final four batters to earn the save.

The Wind Surge fall to 22-32 for the season. The first place Missions improve to 30-25 for the season.

NOTES: Yunior Severino hit his 13th&nbsp;home run of the season and is second in the Texas League. The first pitch temperature of 95 degrees is the hottest game of the season. The Wind Surge added catcher Kyle Schmidt from Class A Fort Myers. David Banuelos was placed on the injured list. SAN ANTONIO, Texas - DaShawn Keirsey, Jr. and Brooks Lee pushed the Surge to victory with their bats. After dropping the first two games of the road series to San Antonio, Wichita Wind Surge bounced back in spectacular fashion winning 10-3 over the Missions. Combined Keirsey Jr. and Lee earned seven of the ten runs batted in for the Surge.

Starting pitchers Travis Adams for Wichita and Duncan Snider for San Antonio started the game and went three up three down in the first inning.

The flood gates opened in the second inning for the Surge. With two outs already in the inning the Surge went on a hitting streak that scored five runs. Seth Gray singled to right field that scored a run. Keirsey Jr. then hit an automatic double over the right-centerfield wall that scored two more runs. Lee hit a line drive to right field and scored the final two runs of the inning.

The Missions answered with two runs of their own in the bottom of the second. Cole Cummings drove in a couple of runs on a hit up to center field.

In the top of the fourth Keirsey Jr. hit a solo home run on the first pitch he saw in the at bat. The ball soared over the right center field wall to give the Surge another run.

Yunior Severino hit a double in the top of the sixth that scored another run for Wichita.

Missions answered again in the bottom of the sixth with their own run. Michael De La Cruz singled a ground ball up to center field that scored a run for San Antonio.

The Surge piled on another three runs in the top of the seventh. Aaron Sabato hit his first home run of the season when he hit a bomb over the right field wall. Then Lee earned his third and fourth RBIs when he hit a ground ball to right field.

Michael Boyle improves to 2-0 for earning the win tonight. Missions starter Snider took the loss and dropped to 0-4.

The Wind Surge improve to 22-31 for the season and snapped their six game losing streak. The first place Missions fall to 29-25 for the season and lead their division by three games.

NOTES: The six-game losing streak was a season long and the longest streak in the teams franchise history. Brooks Lee drove home a professional career best four runs in the game. Catcher David Banuelos was placed on the 7-day injured list.

⚾ Wichita Wind Surge bounce back in Texas

GREAT BEND, Kan.—The Hutchinson Monarchs gave up two runs in both the bottom of the eight and ninth inning which allowed the Great Bend Bat Cats to win their 4th game of the year 8-7 at Al Burns Memorial Field in Great Bend Thursday night.

Great Bend's first baseman Armani Raygoza was the hero as his only hit of the game came with runners at second and third as he lined a base hit into centerfield scoring both Robby Bolin and Matt Mendez to win the game in walk-off fashion.

Hutchinson did manage 9 hits in the ball game, but 3 errors including an error in the ninth inning costs the Monarchs in the loss.

Hutchinson (0-1) and Great Bend (4-0) play again in Great Bend tonight before wrapping up the series at Hobart-Detter Field in Hutchinson on Saturday night.

(AP) — Carter Verhaeghe scored 4:27 into overtime and the Florida Panthers pulled off some more postseason dramatics to beat the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final on Thursday night. Matthew Tkachuk tied it with 2:13 left in the third period for the Panthers, who got the franchise's first title-series game win in seven tries. Florida had to fend off a power play to start overtime, and Verhaeghe got the winner from the slot to get the Panthers within 2-1 in the series. Game 4 is Saturday night. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 25 shots for Florida. Adin Hill made 20 saves for Vegas, but got beat on the only shot that came his way in overtime.

Matthew Tkachuk returns from big hit in Stanley Cup Final, adds more playoff heroics

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Florida Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk returned after leaving Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final and provided more of his trademark playoff heroics. Tkachuk was sidelined early after a big hit from Vegas Golden Knights forward Keegan Kolesar. Before the absence he set up the Panthers' first goal. Late in the third period he scored to tie it with 2:13 left in regulation and set the screen on the overtime winner. Tkachuk is now tied for the most points in postseason.

Florida back in Stanley Cup Final after taking advantage of matchups at home vs. Vegas

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Being at home proved to be crucial for the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Final against the Vegas Golden Knights. Coach Paul Maurice getting the right matchups allowed his team to win Game 3 in overtime and cut its series deficit to 2-1. Each of Florida's goals in regulation came with Matthew Tkachuk's line against the opponents Maurice wanted on the ice. And Carter Verhaeghe's goal also showed the Panthers can be competitive in this series at even strength despite special teams woes.

Djokovic and Alcaraz meet in French Open semifinals; other matchup is Zverev vs. Ruud

PARIS (AP) — Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz are scheduled to play against each other for the first time in more than a year when they meet in the French Open semifinals. The much-anticipated showdown is the first singles match on Friday at Court Philippe Chatrier. It is the 45th Grand Slam semifinal for Djokovic, a 36-year-old from Serbia, and the second for Alcaraz, a 20-year-old from Spain. Djokovic is hoping to leave Roland Garros this year with his third title in Paris and his 23rd major championship overall, which would break a tie with rival Rafael Nadal for the most by a man in the history of tennis. The other semifinal will follow, pitting Casper Ruud against Alexander Zverev.

Oklahoma wins third straight Women's College World Series title, extends record win streak to 53

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Jordy Bahl threw three innings of perfect relief and Oklahoma won its third straight Women's College World Series title and seventh overall, beating Florida State 3-1 for a two-game sweep. The Sooners finished 61-1 and extended their Division I-record win streak to 53 games. They have won six titles since 2013 after getting their first in 2000, all under coach Patty Gasso. Oklahoma's only defeat was a 4-3 loss at Baylor on Feb. 19. The Sooners set a record for win percentage and have the fewest losses of any NCAA champion. They led the nation in runs per game, earned run average and batting average.

Heat still confident, Nuggets remain focused as NBA Finals reach Game 4

MIAMI (AP) — Jimmy Butler showed up in plush blue slippers Thursday for what was officially called practice. Kyle Lowry was trying to distract him during an interview session. Nikola Jokic continued to say how he doesn't care about statistics. Jamal Murray talked about all the fun he's having. At this point, there isn't a lot of off-day, on-court work for the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat. Game 4 of the NBA Finals is Friday night in Miami. The Nuggets got a historic effort from Jokic and Murray to reclaim the lead in the series with a 109-94 win Wednesday night.

NY governor warns Belmont Stakes could be affected if air quality doesn't improve

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has warned that the Belmont Stakes could be canceled if air quality doesn't improve. Racing at Belmont Park was called off on Thursday because of hazy, smoky conditions from wildfires in Canada. It was the second straight day that the bad air affected sports in the northeastern United States. In Major League Baseball, the Washington Nationals' home game against the Arizona Diamondbacks was called off. The Belmont is the final leg of horse racing's Triple Crown. Hochul says it could be scrapped if the air quality index exceeds 200. She says horses will have to undergo additional evaluations if the air is in the 150-200 range.

José Ramírez hits 3 homers to power Guardians to 10-3 win over slumping Red Sox

CLEVELAND (AP) — José Ramírez homered in his first three at-bats to power the Cleveland Guardians to a 10-3 win over the Boston Red Sox. Ramírez connected for a solo shot in the first inning off Matt Dermody, belted a two-run shot in the third and added another solo blast in the sixth when the Guardians collected eight straight hits. Ramírez came up a second time in the sixth bidding for a rare four-homer game, but struck out. The four-time All-Star had another chance in the eighth, but grounded to third. There have only been 16 four-homer games in the majors since 1901. The last to do it was Arizona's J.D. Martinez in 2017.

In this youth baseball league, fans who mistreat umpires are sentenced to do the job themselves

DEPTFORD, N.J. (AP) — Baseball is steeped in the tradition of fans wanting to jeer the umpire. One Little League in New Jersey is taking a more hands-on approach. It's trying to curb the appetite among the crowd watching 10- and 11-year-olds play baseball who curse at the unpaid volunteers behind the plate. The fans could become the umpires if they won't follow league rules on sportsmanship. Outbursts of bad behavior at sporting events for young people have had frightening consequences for officials at all youth levels. The Deptford Little League is hoping its solution is a preventative one.

MLS hopes Messi will boost attendance, TV viewers and market share

NEW YORK (AP) — After two decades competing against Real Madrid, Manchester United and Brazil, Lionel Messi will be going against the NFL, Major League Baseball and the NBA. Major League Soccer is hoping for a breakout boost to its television audience and market share after Messi joins Inter Miami next month. Following Pelé's signing with the New York Cosmos in 1975 and David Beckham joining the LA Galaxy in 2007, Messi is expected to become the third supreme soccer evangelist in a nation where the sport has been playing catch-up for more than a century.

🏈 Area players in Saturday's Kansas 8-Man All-Star Game

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Overtime. Season on the line. The Florida Panthers keep finding ways to flourish in those moments.

And for the first time, they’ve won a game in the Stanley Cup Final.

Carter Verhaeghe snapped a wrister from the slot into the high back of the net 4:27 into overtime and the Panthers rallied to beat the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 on Thursday night in Game 3. Vegas still leads the title series 2-1, but Florida has life and found a way to turn overtime into its favorite time once again.

The Panthers are 7-0 in these playoffs in OT — actually winning more games in extra sessions than they’ve won in regulation.

“We’re the Cats,” Verhaeghe said. “We have whatever lives we have, but it’s awesome. It shows how great our team is and the guys on our team have no quit in them.”

Matthew Tkachuk tied it with 2:13 left in the third period for the Panthers, who got the franchise’s first title-series game win in seven tries. Florida had to fend off a power play to start overtime, and Verhaeghe got the winner with Tkachuk providing some traffic in front of the net.

“I had a little bit of time to walk in and shoot,” Verhaeghe said. “I’m so happy it went in.”

His goal breathed life into a very nervous building. But the Panthers were furious — and replays showed they had a case — when Gustav Forsling was sent to the box with 11.2 seconds remaining for tripping. Florida survived that scare, and a few minutes later, had life in the series again.

The odds are still long, but the Panthers at least have a bit more statistical hope now. Of the previous 55 teams to trail 2-1 at this point of the Stanley Cup Final, 11 have actually rallied to hoist the trophy.

It’s improbable, sure. So are the Panthers, who were the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, were down 3-1 to Boston in Round 1, were 133 seconds away from trailing this series 3-0 — and now have tons of reasons for optimism.

Jonathan Marchessault and Mark Stone each had power-play goals for Vegas.

Marchessault’s goal was his 13th in his last 13 playoff games, his fourth of this series and his third with the man advantage.

As if all that wasn’t enough, there was a little history in there as well. Vegas joined the 1980 New York Islanders as the only team with at least two power-play goals in three consecutive games in the Cup final. And Marchessault became the third player in the last 35 years to score in each of the first three games of a title series — joining Steve Yzerman in 1997 with Detroit and Jake Guentzel with Pittsburgh in 2017.

But it wasn’t enough to give Vegas a 3-0 lead in the series.

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—&nbsp;The Kansas City Royals announced details for Chiefs Day at the K, a way for the club and its fans to celebrate our neighbors’ Super Bowl LVII championship.

The Royals will host&nbsp;Patrick Mahomes,&nbsp;Travis Kelce,&nbsp;Andy Reid&nbsp;and many members of the team for the game against the Cincinnati Reds on Monday, June 12 at 7:10 pm.

Many of GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium’s gameday traditions will come across the parking lot, including the Chiefs cheerleaders, flag runners, KC Wolf and more. Crown Vision will also show highlights from the Chiefs fourth quarter comeback in the Super Bowl.

Important to note: the Royals encourage fans to be in their seats by 6:45 to see Reid, Mahomes and Kelce carry their most recent Super Bowl trophy along a red carpet from the bullpen to the infield.

Of particular interest – and with a little more practice since the last time – Kelce will throw out the ceremonial first pitch to Mahomes.

MANHATTAN, Kan.&nbsp;– Kansas State head men's golf coach&nbsp;<a href="https://www.kstatesports.com/sports/mens-golf/roster/coaches/grant-robbins/1886">Grant Robbins</a>&nbsp;was honored by his peers on Thursday as he was named the 2023 Big 12 Men's Golf Coach of the Year, the conference office announced.&nbsp;

Robbins, who shared this year's award with TCU head coach Bill Montigel in a vote among all Big 12 coaches, is the first K-State men's golf coach to earn Big 12 Coach of the Year accolades. Completing his ninth year in Manhattan during the 2022-23 season, Robbins led K-State to one of its best campaigns in school history as the Wildcats set a school record with a team stroke average of 281.47, nearly seven shots per round better than the previous low mark of 288.24 put together by the 2021-22 squad. K-State also tied for second in school history in both team victories (4) and top-five finishes (7), while it had eight of the top-20 team rounds and seven of the top-25 team 54-hole scores in school history. The Wildcats won each of their first three events during the fall - the Wildcat Invitational, Old Town Collegiate and Oregon State Invitational - to mark the first time in school history K-State captured three-straight team titles. In the spring, K-State opened with three more top-three performances, including a victory at The Johnnie-O, to propel the Wildcats to a highwater mark of No. 17 in the Golfstat Top 25. K-State earned a bid as the No. 5 seed in the NCAA Bath (Mich.) Regional, the first time the Wildcats advanced to postseason play in consecutive years since 2008 and 2009. The Wildcats just missed the cut for the fifth and final qualifying spot for the NCAA Championship as they battled Florida, which eventually went on to win the National Championship. Under Robbins, four Kansas State golfers finished in the top six in school history in single-season stroke average during the 2022-23 season with the top three marks being claimed by&nbsp;<a href="https://www.kstatesports.com/sports/mens-golf/roster/tim-tillmanns/9694">Tim Tillmanns</a>&nbsp;(70.21),&nbsp;<a href="https://www.kstatesports.com/sports/mens-golf/roster/will-hopkins/9688">Will Hopkins</a>&nbsp;(70.35) and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.kstatesports.com/sports/mens-golf/roster/cooper-schultz/9693">Cooper Schultz</a>&nbsp;(71.15). The 51st&nbsp;Kansas Shrine Bowl presented by Mammoth will be held Saturday, June 29th, 2024, at Welch Stadium on the campus of Emporia State University. “Emporia State’s Welch Stadium will be a great backdrop for our game, with a true all-star environment,” said B.J. Harris, Executive Director of the Kansas Shrine Bowl. &nbsp;“We’re thrilled to welcome the Kansas Shrine Bowl back to Emporia for the first time since 2016,” said LeLan Dains, Director of Visit Emporia. “It provides a great opportunity to host students and athletes in our community and we hope they’ll take full advantage of all Emporia has to offer.” &nbsp; “Emporia has always been a great host city for the Kansas Shrine Bowl,” said Harris. “We’ve had successful events each time we’ve returned, and we’re excited about what 2024 has in store!”

🏈 2024 Kansas Shrine Bowl to be played in Emporia

ATLANTA –&nbsp;Kansas Football’s Jalon Daniels was named the Male Scholar Athlete of the Year at the 2023 INFLCR NIL Summit in Atlanta this past weekend. The national award recognizes a student-athlete that achieved exceptional results in the classroom and in their respective sport, while maximizing their NIL for the greater good.

Daniels was alongside Stanford’s Caitie Baird, who was named the female Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, Oklahoma’s Tanner Groves, Baylor’s Jaden Owens and Nebraska’s Lexi Rodriguez were among the nominees.

Kansas’ NIL platform, Jayhawks Ascend, was also nominated for Best Institutional Program, awarded to a college or institution that has shown exceptional commitment to supporting its student-athletes in maximizing their NIL opportunities through a combination of education, resources, and industry-leading innovation.

Daniels, a junior from Lawndale, California, had a breakout 2022-23 year across the board, leading Kansas to its first Bowl Game since 2008 and being named a CSC Scholar-Athlete All-American, all while maximizing his impact in NIL.

Daniels has utilized the Jayhawks Ascend program to maximize his earning potential through branding and social media efforts, community engagement, licensing opportunities, and working with corporate partners.

On the field, Daniels led a breakout season by completing 152 passes for 2,014 yards and 18 touchdowns. In the AutoZone Liberty Bowl against Arkansas, Daniels passed for a KU football record 544 yards on 37-of-55 passing, while combining for six total touchdowns, which was a Liberty Bowl record.

Daniels was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team following the 2022 season, as voted on by the league’s coaches. He earned recognition as the Walter Camp National FBS Offensive Player of the Week following his performance at Houston, while he was a four-time Manning Award Star of the Week and three-time Davey O’Brien Great 8 List honoree this season. Daniels also rushed for 404 yards and six touchdowns on 63 rushes in 2022.

In the classroom, Daniels earned Academic All-America honors with a 3.51 cumulative GPA in Sport Management. Daniels has been named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team in each of the last two seasons and was a member of the All-Big 12 Rookie Team in 2020.

Jayhawks Ascend, nominated for Best Institutional Program, took significant steps forward in year two of the NIL era, hosting the first annual Jayhawks Ascend NIL forum featuring major brands including Adidas, Meta, Instagram and Wendy’s, among others.

Kansas student athletes have benefitted from Jayhawks Ascend by working with national brands such as Pepsi, Adidas, Continental Tire, Wendy’s, Raising Cane’s, and more. IRVING, Texas&nbsp;– Today, the Big 12 Conference announced the launch of Big 12 Mexico, the Conference’s first international extension that will see Big 12 men’s and women’s basketball, women’s soccer and baseball games held in Mexico with the Kansas Jayhawks being at the forefront of the innovative initiative.

Big 12 Mexico’s first contest will be a men’s and women’s basketball matchup between Kansas and Houston, held in Mexico City at Arena CDMX in 2024. Following the launch of Big 12 basketball in Mexico, Big 12 women’s soccer and baseball will participate in exhibitions against clubs from the region.

Additionally, the Big 12 will explore establishing a football bowl game in Monterrey, starting in 2026. This would be the first bowl game ever held in Mexico.

“Mexico is a natural extension to the Big 12 footprint, and I’m thrilled to introduce Big 12 Mexico as the Conference’s first-ever international presence,” said&nbsp;Commissioner Brett Yormark.&nbsp;“Through Big 12 Mexico, our student-athletes will have the opportunity to compete in an international setting, and our Conference will have the chance to showcase our brand across Mexico.”

Kansas Men’s and Women’s Basketball will travel to Mexico City in December of 2024 to participate in their respective matchups against Houston.

Additionally, the Big 12 will look to secure for the first time Spanish radio broadcasts for Big 12 Football and Basketball Championships in 2023-24 and beyond, and will implement a robust Mexico digital strategy.

The Big 12 Conference will team up with Mexico City-based live entertainment agency Zignia as a co-promotional partner. Zignia will support with marketing and sales of Big 12 Mexico events, as well as provide the Conference with their depth of resources. Additionally, On Location, an Endeavor-owned company, will assist with all school travel and VIP packages, while Endeavor will assist the Conference in all facets of its international digital strategy.&nbsp;The Big 12 Business Advisory Board will also continue to provide key insights and counsel as the Conference grows its presence in Mexico.

🏀 KU and Houston men & women to tip off Big 12 Mexico in 2024

MIAMI (AP) — After building their largest lead of the night to that point midway through the third quarter of&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/9f451bc00f48e0faae0f907854c8c6c3">Game 3 of the NBA Finals,</a>&nbsp;the Denver Nuggets put on a rebounding clinic.

Aaron Gordon grabbed one on the defensive end after Miami's Max Strus missed, then Michael Porter Jr. came down with the ball off Jamal Murray's failed 3-point attempt. Porter got his own own rebound off a block — and when he missed, Gordon put it back up and in, and the score wasn't close the rest of the way.

It was their own personal game of shoot until you make it — and it spoke to the Nuggets being too big, too strong and too tough inside for the Heat in their&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/nba-finals-2023-heat-nuggets-f15a5273ea2e05117142ee65953284c2">109-94 victory</a>&nbsp;Wednesday night that put them up 2-1 in the series and one step closer to the first championship in&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/nba-playoffs-2023-nuggets-jokic-3042b538d9e67d13f2776e6d55dbc04e">franchise history.</a>

“It's a collective effort,” said Murray, who had 10 rebounds as part of his triple-double. “Sometimes it’s just an effort play. Sometimes the ball just comes to you. Sometimes somebody else does the dirty work and boxes the big guy out. I think it’s everybody chipping in to get those rebounds.”

Denver outrebounded Miami 65-41, and points in the paint were a lopsided 60-34. Nikola Jokic had 18 rebounds on the defensive end alone and 21 total as part of his triple-double.

“When we rebound like that, there's usually a direct correlation to a ‘W,'” said Gordon, who had 10 rebounds. “We’ve got to keep eating the glass, continue to rebound on both sides of the floor.”

While Jokic became the first player with 30 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists in a game in the finals, he had plenty of help on the glass. The Heat had few answers inside for Gordon, Murray and Porter, who with his seven.

“They just pummeled us in the paint,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said, lamenting his team losing too many 50-50 plays. “They didn’t really have to shoot 3s. They had, whatever, 60 in the paint. They probably shot over 65% in the paint at the rim there. Wasn’t a need to space the floor.”

Rookie Christian Braun also came up big with 15 points in 19 minutes off the bench. His was just one of several crucial secondary performances.

“This is by far our best game of the series, the most compete game of the series, and it’s not because of the triple-doubles or all the individual stats,” coach Michael Malone said, citing the 60 points in the paint and outrebounding Miami by a significant amount in a game in the finals. “That really helped us out tonight: the defending and rebounding at a high level.”

Malone saw it as the Nuggets responding teamwide to their Game 2 performance, when they&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/d3f7a8482bd59ee4bc916357b013aeaa">blew a 15-point lead and lost.</a>&nbsp;Now he hopes it carries into Game 4.

“I loved our energy, our effort, our urgency, our discipline," Malone said. “I felt we were where we needed to be tonight, and we’ll have to be even better come Friday evening.”
