Tod Vernon Page, 62, died December 10, 2025, in Protection, KS. He was born May 20, 1963, in Dodge City, to Vernon Wayne and Annabelle Jean (Jarvis) Page.

Tod attended Nickerson High School. He worked in construction for many years, most recently for MBC Construction. Tod was an avid fan of music. He enjoyed listening to music, singing, and playing music on the guitar. He liked riding on his motorcycle and collecting unique rocks and Native American artifacts. Tod was a jack-of-all-trades and helped his family with any projects they had. He loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews; Tod would make funny faces and sing silly songs to keep them entertained.

Tod is survived by: his siblings, Terry (Chalene) Page of Hutchinson, Linda (Ron) Engstrom) of South Hutchinson, Priscilla Page, Melody Bratcher, Verna (Danny Socha) Page, Doug Page, all of Hutchinson; 21 nieces and nephews; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; and many cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; stepmother, Janet Page; brother, Timothy Page; sister, Karen Gregg-Page; maternal grandparents, Roy and Goldie Chipman; and paternal grandparents, Ted and Genevieve Page.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025, the Reverend Dr. &nbsp;Kim Biery, at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Salem Community Church Cemetery, Nickerson. Michael Allan DiNitto, 64, cherished son, brother, uncle and friend passed away on December 8, 2025 at his home in Overland Park, Kansas after a sudden illness. Mike was born to Joseph and Joan (Halfmann) DiNitto on July 21, 1961 in Hutchinson, KS. Mike attended Haven public schools, Hutchinson Community College and the University of Kansas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.

Mike began his career as a news reporter and anchor at Salina Cable Television, Salina, then KTKA, Topeka. In 1990 he was asked to become the Director of Video Operations for the University of Kansas Athletic Department, and later, ESPN Regional Television. Over the next 13 years he directed all projects for basketball and football, including coaches' shows and season highlight and recruiting videos.

Mike’s reputation for exceptional work earned him many accolades and several awards. During one basketball tournament, North Carolina’s Dean Smith wryly asked a KU official about how they had “found” Mike. Though certainly talented and armed with a vast knowledge of KU’s sports history, Mike’s greatest asset may have been his tireless work ethic, and that dedication and drive won the admiration of those he worked for and mentored. His young nieces and nephews enjoyed hearing about the Thanksgiving Day when he worked through the night in his hotel room to meet a pressing deadline at a tournament in New York. After a quick nap he awoke groggy and unsure of where he was. He was soon jolted by a big clue when he opened the blinds to find himself face to face with the smiling snout of Bullwinkle the Moose, an antler tilting solicitously toward his window.

After leaving KU and ESPN, Mike’s work included projects with the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals, and he was a regional videographer for several national news networks. He later expanded his business to include commercial and educational projects, and court reporting services.

The youngest child, Mike was adored by his parents for his endearing personality and thoughtfulness, evident even in his early years. His life and career would bring wonderful adventures and serious health challenges, which he endured without complaint and with a quiet faith. Mike made friends easily, and he possessed an instinct for offering what was needed to those facing difficulties. He was a humble, tender soul who was unaware of the natural charm that made him a treasured friend to so many.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Joan, and sister, Deborah Byers. Mike is survived by his father, Joseph Sr., Haven; brothers, Joseph Jr., Haven, and Martin (Allyson), Overland Park; brother-in-law Brian (Mary) Byers, Wichita; nieces Ashley (Mark) Buxton, Olathe, and Elizabeth (Stephen) McKittrick, Olathe; nephews Matthew Byers, Oskaloosa, IA, and Christopher (Lindsey) DiNitto, Overland Park; great nieces and nephews Aubrey and Cameron Buxton, and Brecken, Whit and Locke DiNitto.

Mike was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish, Leawood.

Kathy attended school in St. Joseph, MO. &nbsp;On September 6, 1988, she married Howard Damme. &nbsp;They celebrated 37 years of marriage.

Kathy enjoyed doing many types of crafts, camping in Colorado, participating in TOPS group and Eastern Star, playing bingo and bunco, doing embroidery, and having a glass or two of wine or margaritas. &nbsp;

She is survived by her: husband, Howard; children; Ralph McFarland (Mandy) of Hutchinson, Angela Brazau (John) of Cocoa Beach, FL, and JB McFarland (Windy) of Ozarks, MO; father, Ralph Holaday (Litchia) of St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren, Johny McFarland (Kaitlin Weninger), Kathleen Clark (Josh), Brandy Ukele (Corey), Blayze Showalter, Bryce Showalter, Brandon Showalter (Brittany), and Zane Damme; and several great-grandchildren.

Regis Yager Jr., 76, of Nickerson, KS, died December 10, 2025, at Hospice House in Hutchinson, KS. He was born March 8, 1949, in Hutchinson, KS, to Regis and Mary Joan (Collins) Yager Sr.

Regis was a 1967 Nickerson High School graduate and shortly after graduating, he joined the United States Army, and proudly served as a Vietnam War Veteran.

In his spare time, Regis enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes, and fishing, especially ice fishing. He was a collector of canning jars and the best in gardening just about anything. People often remarked how eagerly they awaited to purchase his peony blooms and tomatoes each year. Regis was also brilliant with numbers, making calculations look effortless and impressive every time. Many admired him, not only for his numerical talent, but also for his deep patriotism towards his country he wholeheartedly loved.&nbsp;

Regis is survived by: his daughters, Dodi (James) Lindsay of Cool, CA and Jennifer Yager of Wichita, KS; significant other, Carol Dirksen of Hutchinson, KS; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his four beloved cats; and all the neighborhood cats.

He was preceded in death by: his parents and brother, Royce Yager.

Thomas Michael McClanahan, 56, passed away on November 30, 2025, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Tom was born on January 17, 1969, in Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of Sharon Murphy.

Tom graduated from Fairfield High School in Langdon, Kansas, and later earned his associate degree in heating, air, and electrical engineering. He proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where he served his country and received an honorable discharge. Throughout his professional life, Tom worked in maintenance and ultimately served as a maintenance supervisor for Worcester in Wichita.

Tom was a lifelong lover of music. He played guitar for his church band, sharing his talent, spirit, and joy through every note. He also had a deep love for animals and cherished spending time with his faithful dog, Luke. His sense of humor, laughter, and lighthearted nature made him loved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon, and his sister, Patty.

Tom is survived by his son, Tyler McClanahan; daughter, Brianna McClanahan; sister, Sherri Holman; and his cherished grandchildren; Syona Hamilton, Emmanuel McClanahan, and Dennis McClanahan.

Kylie Lucille Mulligan, 45, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, in Hutchinson, KS. Kylie was born on February 3, 1980, in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of Danny and Carmen (Boyd) Mulligan.

Kylie graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1999. Kylie was loving and caring, whose gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Kylie often spent her free time drawing and painting. She will be remembered for her warmth, her kindness and the love she poured into her family and her art.

She is proceeded in death by her grandparents, Charlie and Charlene Boyd and Leo and Betty Mulligan; and uncle, Mitchell Boyd.

Kylie is survived by her daughters, Kaylan Mulligan and Danika Freund; brother, Daniel Mulligan; grandchildren, Khalani Walker and Kaiomi Holland; and a niece Destany Mulligan.

Marie Theresa (Amaro) Quinn, 80, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025. She was born February 28, 1945 in Kinsley, Kansas, the daughter of Juan M. and Damacia (Ramos) Amaro.

Marie attended Kinsley High School, Kinsley, KS, and graduated with the class of 1963. After graduation, she worked as a medical transcriber for local hospitals in Wichita and Hutchinson.

Marie loved to socialize with friends and family. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing. An avid sports fan, she loved to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and the KU Jayhawks.

A woman of strong faith, she was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Wichita, KS; along with holding a membership with Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Auxiliary.

On June 17, 1978, Buddy married the love of his life Brenda K. Zahn, in Hutchinson. They had three amazing children: Brandi Mechelle, Heather Marie and Justin David.&nbsp;

Buddy worked for over 27 years at Consolidated Manufacturing. &nbsp;He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, especially Bonanza, and movies with his children and grandchildren.

Gerald was raised on a dairy farm with his eleven siblings. He was a Journeyman Tech Pointer for over 42 years at Mid-Continental Restoration. Gerald loved his job and was a very dedicated worker. He enjoyed spending time with his family and “piddling around” the house doing chores and yardwork. Gerald served in the Army National Guard Reserves.

On January 13, 1995, he married Vicky Irene Cunningham, in Fort Worth, TX.

Marsha Elaine Thompson, 77, of Hutchinson, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was born April 3, 1948, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Abraham Navarro and Eleanor Martinez Navarro.

Marsha attended school in Hutchinson and graduated from Trinity Catholic High School in 1966. She also attended Hutchinson Community College. Marsha was a lifelong resident of Hutchinson. While she had several jobs throughout her life, Marsha worked at First National Bank of Hutchinson for 40 years in various roles within the loan and customer service departments. Throughout her time with the bank, Marsha was an active member of Credit Professionals International, holding numerous roles including being on the board of directors from 1999-2000. She was also honored as the 2001 International Credit Professional of the Year. Marsha retired in 2023 and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as being an avid reader.&nbsp;

Marsha married Michael Thompson in 1968, and they later divorced. They had the opportunity to live in England, where they were stationed with the Air Force. Their oldest daughter was born there. Their second daughter was born three and a half years later after they had moved back to the U.S.

Survivors include: her children, Carmella (Wilhelm) de Beer and Sonya Huhn, both of Hutchinson; four grandchildren, Sarah (Jonathan) Blanton, Cole Robbins, Makayla (Eli) Corino, and Tatyana (Tyree) Johnson; eight great-grandchildren, Kaden Robbins, Kolton Robbins, Max Blanton, Lily Phillips, Kassidy Corino, Jordan Corino, Nora Johnson, and AvaLynn Corino; one brother, Daniel Navarro of Hutchinson; one niece, Meghan Navarro &nbsp;and one nephew, Jacob (Lizbeth) Navarro; three great-nephews, Xavier Jaques, Alonzo Navarro, and Arthur Navarro; and one great-niece, Amaya Parker.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; two infant brothers Michael and Joseph Navarro; and great-nephew Carson Webber.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Elliott Chapel. Dorothy A. Dick of Buhler, Kansas, passed away on Friday December 5, 2025 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 6, 1941 in Kingman Kansas, to Elmer C. and Hilda M.(Voran) Krehbiel. Dorothy was baptized June 9,1957 at Bethany Mennonite Church, Kingman Kansas. She later transferred her membership to Buhler Mennonite Church where she played the organ for many years.

Dorothy attended Kingman schools graduating in 1959 and then Bethel college for two years, earning an associate degree in office administration. After college she worked as a secretary in Newton and Hutchinson. She was a stay at home mom while her children were young and for a time was the secretary at Buhler Mennonite Church. She was then hired at Buhler Grade School as the school secretary, a position she held for 23 years, retiring in 2004. She was also a volunteer at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community and helped whenever needed on the family farm, driving trucks, watching gates and bringing many meals to the fields.

On February 7, 1965, Dorothy was married to Arlen L. Dick at Bethany Mennonite Church rural Kingman, Kansas, he preceded her in death on August 7th, 2022.

She is survived by sons Russell (Melaney) Dick of Buhler, and Todd Dick of Buhler; Grandsons Nate Dick and Ethan Dick; Sisters, Bertha Wedel of Buhler and Kathy (Ron) Knak of Puerto Rico; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Margie Yutzy and Betty Martin.

On November 6, 1951, Roberta married Robert Avery in Hutchinson. They shared 60 wonderful years of marriage before his death on January 28, 2012.&nbsp;

Roberta was co-owner and worked at Memory Lane Antiques for many years. She was a lifelong homemaker who poured love into her children and later her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cherished by her family, Roberta was affectionately known as the “best grandma ever,” proof of the warmth and love she brought to their lives.&nbsp;

Roberta is survived by her: son, Scott (Denise) Avery and daughter, Valerie Avery (Rick Greathouse), all of Hutchinson; brother, Charles Goff of Indiana; daughter-in-law, Shree Avery; beloved grandchildren, Chris, Catherine, Phillip, Becky, and Amy; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Richard “Dick” Dean Dauber’s loving spirit departed his earthly body to be reunited with his heavenly family on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Mennonite Friendship Communities in South Hutchinson, after a long battle with cancer.

Dick was born on January 19, 1935, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Carl Emmit Dauber and Marie Anna (Wyler) Dauber Chase. Dick was the eldest son of the five children born to Carl and Marie. Beverly Ann was the eldest daughter, followed by Dick, Carl Jr., Terry, and Sharon, the baby, lovingly referred to as “Pie.”

Dick attended Yaggy and Dodge Grade Schools, Sherman Junior High, and graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1952. In his spare time, he would take his fishing pole and head for the river. He worked a couple of interesting jobs, fresh out of high school, from binding comic books, to working with explosives for an oil and gas surveyor. Dick was later hired on with Johnson Sheet Metal as a welder, fabricator, and layout person.

Thanks to his childhood friend, Tanner, Dick met the love of his life and soul mate, Adrienne Ayleen Foos, on a blind date, while she was attending the Grace Hospital School of Nursing in Hutchinson. The two hit it off immediately and were married on January 22, 1956, at the Bazine Methodist Church in Kansas and were blessed and welcomed two children into the world! Faith Eva in 1957, and Jeffrey Richard in 1959.

Dick and Adrienne were active members of the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church and supported the church by tithing. Dick served on the financial board and donated his time and materials, fabricating parts for the church kitchen and ventilation system. Dick was an annual worker at the church’s food booth at the Kansas State Fair, where he bussed tables and was a former player on the church’s softball team. Dick and Adrienne made sure that their children attended Sunday school, church services, and vacation bible school, and when the family went on trips and vacations, they attended Methodist church services and campground church services on Sunday.

Dick and Adrienne enjoyed traveling with their children and by themselves, they were fortunate to visit every state, except Hawaii.

Dick was an avid outdoorsman who thoroughly enjoyed fishing and hunting with his dad and brothers, and later on, with nephews, friends, and family by camping out at various Kansas lakes, rivers, and National Parks across the United States.

In the early 1970’s, Dick was approached by Dan McGill, with an opportunity to work his way up the corporate ladder to become a partner at his business, Dan Dee Air, Inc. which originally serviced and installed HVAC systems for homes, businesses, and industries, the company then evolved into air pollution systems, working extensively at the salt companies in Hutchinson and Lyons. Dick eventually became vice president and shareholder at Dan Dee Air Inc. and after Dan’s death, became president and owner of the company with his children working beside him. He remained active in the company serving as president and stepped down at the age of 88, due to his health issues. After the family retired in 2024, the business and building were sold to AF Welding in 2025.

Dick was preceded in death by: his son, Jeffrey; parents, Carl and Marie; stepfather, Tommy Chase; siblings, Beverly Ann (Dauber) Hendershot Paque, her former husband, Don Hendershot and present husband, Don Paque, Carl Dauber Jr., Terry Dauber and wife Nevada, Sharon “Pie” Anderton and former husband Ron; and nephews, Clinton and Ronald Hendershot.

Dick is survived by: his wife of almost 70 years, Adrienne; daughter, Faith Krehbiel and husband Jack; sister-in-law, Leona Dauber; grandchildren, Cherish Tadano and Jacob Phipps; great-grandson, Shouichi Tadano; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025, and the family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service, at the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, 206 E. Avenue E, South Hutchinson, KS, 67505. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, December 19th, 2025.

Victor Dean Moore, born October 21, 1950, in Pratt, Kansas, passed away on November 11, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Moore; his two children, Michael D. Moore and Buffy J. Runyan; and two grandchildren, Darian Shelton and Quentin Moore. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who were dear to him.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse “Hap” and Delore Moore; his twin brother, Virgil Moore; siblings Patricia Robinson (Moore), Kenneth Moore and Gary Moore; and his previous wife, Cynthia Carey.

Victor had a deep love for the outdoors and was rarely without a boat. Some of his favorite hobbies were fishing (all year long) and, in his earlier years, hunting. He cherished quiet mornings with a cup of coffee. A skilled craftsman, there was little he couldn’t build or repair with any material. He took great pride in his finished work.

Among Victor’s greatest joys were his Great Danes. Over the years, he shared his life with many beloved companions: Colby, Wilson, Madeleine, Russell, Brinkley and Rosie.

His hearty, bottomless laugh left an impression on all who knew him.

Victor will be remembered with love and missed deeply by those whose lives he touched. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.

A private memorial will be held at a later time.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

Caleb Jeffrey Ropp, 7, surrounded by his loving family, entered into heaven’s gates on December 1, 2025. &nbsp;He was born December 23, 2017, in Hutchinson, to Jeffrey and Erica (Smith) Ropp.

Caleb was a second grader at Central Christian School. &nbsp;He was “all boy” and constantly on the go from climbing trees and playing outside with his friends to taking part in soccer, baseball, and swimming. &nbsp;Caleb loved Star Wars and building things, especially with Legos and on Minecraft. &nbsp;He treasured his cowboy boots, and wore them all the time, even with his shorts! &nbsp;Caleb was a member of CrossPoint Church, Hutchinson. &nbsp;

Samuel Wilson “Sam” Hederstedt, 48, died November 29, 2025, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born August 5, 1977, in Hutchinson, to David Ross Hederstedt and Rae Patricia (Heath) Hederstedt.

Sam attended the Early Education Center, Faris Elementary School, and graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1999. He was a TECH consumer and enjoyed being around his friends, roommates, and TECH staff. Sam had a wonderful and very recognizable laugh! He loved listening to country music, playing with musical toys, and listening to his sisters play the piano. Sam looked forward to visits from his mom, car rides with his siblings, and spending time with people he loved on his patio swing. Walking the pathways at Dillon Nature Center and playing the instruments in the playscape were favorite pastimes. He also had fun joining his roommates on outings to the bowling alley, where he spent most of his time at the pinball machine and jukebox. Sam was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.

Sam is survived by: sisters, Sarah (Chuck) Blake and Laura Hederstedt; nieces and nephews, T.J. (Tucker) Blake-Briggs, Rachel Kaphart, Annie Blake, Charlie Kephart and Joe Blake; stepmom, Val Hederstedt; stepsisters, Shawna (Jamie Kanski) Tunnell, Julie (Scott) Jimison, Lori (Carlos) Landron, uncle, George Carter; cousin, Elizabeth Carter; many step-nieces and step-nephews, extended family, TECH family, and friends throughout the community.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepsister, Renée Speicher-Prigmore, and by his aunt, Alison (Heath) Carter and uncle, Sam Heath.

Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Grace Episcopal Church, 2 Hyde Park Dr, Hutchinson, with Fr. Ted Blakely officiating. Armando Diaz Viveros, 58, died unexpectedly November 25, 2025, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita. &nbsp;He was born October 14, 1967, in Cuernavaca, Mexico, to Fidencio Diaz Robles and Reynalda Viveros Vences. &nbsp;

Armando, also known by his family and friends as “Superman” or “Fox” graduated from Preparatoria #1 in Cuernavaca. &nbsp;He immigrated to Hutchinson from Mexico in August 1988, and became a United States Citizen in August 2001. Armando worked over 30 years in the grain industry. &nbsp;Armando was currently working for Mid Kansas Coop (MKC) as an Elevator Superintendent. He spent many years building heartfelt relationships, earning respect of those he worked next to. He taught coworkers not only about the grain business, but about kindness, selflessness, and love. &nbsp;

He enjoyed collecting about anything, listening to Mexican music, and finding a really good bargain. He had a green thumb and could grow just about anything. Even after working all day, you could find him in the backyard caring for his “plantitas.” Armando had a servant heart, always willing to help others, and even animals. &nbsp;He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a faithful adorer at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson. &nbsp;In addition, for over 20 years, Armando assisted with Stations of the Cross at the church. &nbsp;He deeply loved Jesus and shared that love with others, so that they too, could learn of His great love. &nbsp;Armando also had a deep love for his family, and was immensely proud of his children and the adults they had become. &nbsp;He always made time to spend with his family. &nbsp;

On July 24, 1993, he married Sylvia Hinojosa, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson. Armando and Sylvia loved each other unconditionally and Armando was a devoted husband to his Sylvia.&nbsp;

Armando is survived by: &nbsp;his wife of 32 years, Sylvia Diaz of Hutchinson; sons, Kyler Diaz, Phillipe Diaz, both of Wichita, Ector Diaz (Julia) of Salina; and Raul Diaz (Reaghan Shaffer) of Wichita and Emporia; daughter, Gracie Diaz of Dallas, TX; siblings, Norma (Mark), Gustavo (Blanca), Olga (Stefano), Alfredo (Lila), Lilia, Erika, Saul (Esveidy), Raul, Cesar (Isabel); brother-in-law, Fabio, mother-in-law, Cecilia Hinojosa of Hutchinson; multiple Compadres and Godchildren; and numerous extended family members.&nbsp;

Lynda Jeane Robinson Miller, 79, of Hutchinson, KS, passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Dale Miller.

Lynda was a simple woman with a gigantic heart. She loved crafting, collecting, reading, and animals. Throughout Lynda's life, she could be found creating one craft or another, and most recently she enjoyed making beaded jewelry.

Lynda also had a knack for finding a bargain. She loved auctions and thrifting. This led to another of her favorite activities, collecting. She had many pieces of Native American Art, precious and semiprecious gemstones, and records, three cats and her loyal poodle, Sarge. When Lynda was not crafting or collecting, she would likely be found in her favorite chair, snuggling one of her pets and reading a romance novel.

Lynda spent many days at the Senior Center at Elmdale Park where she would meet her friends for games, laughs, and lunch. Lynda met Vic Jordan at Elmdale and enjoyed his companionship through the end of her life.

Lynda had a generous soul and often donated to one cause or another. She did not have monetary wealth but that did not stop her from donating her time and what resources she had to a person or group in need.

Lynda is survived by her three children, Koi (Brian) Law, Karri (John) Kirkendoll, and Jacob Fields. She leaves behind her dear friend, Vic Jordan; her siblings, Kay Jernigan, Micheal (Michel) Robinson, Mick (Gina) Robinson; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Lynda's memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 12, 2025, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS. Gene DeVere Bottom was born on February 3, 1933 in near Bucks Grove in rural Jackson County, Kansas to Rueben LeRoy and Eva Mae (Kroth) Bottom.

Gene attended rural Bucks Grove grade school, Soldier Rural High School and Wichita University. He served in the United States Army from 1953 through 1955, attaining the rank of Corporal. He worked as a drafting supervisor at Boeing Airplane Company and Cessna Airplane Company (Fluid Power Division). In 1977 he began work as a Design Draftsman at Borton Inc. He retired from Grain Belt Supply in 1998.

Gene was a member of the South Hutchinson Christian Church and served as an elder until he relocated to Bennington, Kansas. In Bennington he attended the Bennington Bible Church. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family was most important. Square dancing and traveling the gymkhana circuit were enjoyable times spent together.

On April 13, 1958 he married Kathyleen K. Puckett. They shared 23 years of marriage before her death on March 8, 1981. Gene remarried on May 8, 1993 to Mary Josephine Bunch. They enjoyed 17 years of marriage before her death on December 26, 2010.

Gene is survived by his children, Darren (Sheri) Bottom of Little River, and Tricia Gomez of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Morgan Bottom of Little River, André Tipton of Hutchinson; sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Smith of Beattie.

Darlene M. Hein, 95, of Buhler, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community. She was born on August 8, 1930 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Edward H. and Emma (Schroeder) Ratzlaff.

She graduated from Buhler Rural High School with the class of 1948.

She was a member of Buhler Mennonite Church. She was a fifty-year charter member of 54th HDU. She was a longtime election volunteer in the Buhler community and a girl scout leader.

Her hobbies included gardening, quilting and baking.

Darlene was united in marriage to Virgil R. Hein on March 19, 1950 in Hutchinson. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1996.

Darlene and Virgil owned and operated Haven Ford in Haven. She worked twelve years as the utility clerk for the City of Buhler, where she retired.

Darlene is survived by daughters, Kay (Dar) Holden of Hutchinson, and Jean Ediger of Hutchinson; stepson, John (Patricia) Thomas of West Linn, OR; brother, John Ratzlaff of Buhler; granddaughter, Kelsey (Frank) Hartman of Council Grove, and their children, Colson, Hudson, and Lawson; and step grandchildren, Georgianna Githens, Gail Kocher, Victor Kocher, Michelle Jewett, Michael Fiorello, Michelle Fiorello, and Danielle Azari.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Randal Hein; and brother, Herbert Ratzlaff.

Cremation is planned with a celebration of life service to be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Buhler Mennonite Church.  </figure>Darlene M. Hein, 95, of Buhler, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community. She was born on August 8, 1930 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Edward H. and Emma (Schroeder) Ratzlaff.She graduated from Buhler Rural High School with the class of 1948.She was a member of Buhler Mennonite Church. She was a fifty-year charter member of 54th HDU. She was a longtime election volunteer in the Buhler community and a girl scout leader.Her hobbies included gardening, quilting and baking.Darlene was united in marriage to Virgil R. Hein on March 19, 1950 in Hutchinson. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1996.Darlene and Virgil owned and operated Haven Ford in Haven. She worked twelve years as the utility clerk for the City of Buhler, where she retired.Darlene is survived by daughters, Kay (Dar) Holden of Hutchinson, and Jean Ediger of Hutchinson; stepson, John (Patricia) Thomas of West Linn, OR; brother, John Ratzlaff of Buhler; granddaughter, Kelsey (Frank) Hartman of Council Grove, and their children, Colson, Hudson, and Lawson; and step grandchildren, Georgianna Githens, Gail Kocher, Victor Kocher, Michelle Jewett, Michael Fiorello, Michelle Fiorello, and Danielle Azari.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Randal Hein; and brother, Herbert Ratzlaff.Cremation is planned with a celebration of life service to be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Buhler Mennonite Church. Services will be livestreamed at <a href="http://www.youtube.com/BuhlerMennoniteChurch">www.youtube.com/BuhlerMennoniteChurch</a>. Private burial will take place at Buhler Municipal Cemetery. Martha Lee Holmes, 70, of Haven, died November 26, 2025, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born August 3, 1955, in Kansas City, MO, to Norman L. and Norma L. (Goddard) Voigts.

Martha grew up in Lenexa, where she graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest high school in 1973. After graduation, she went to Kansas State University, getting her degree in Animal Husbandry in 1977. Martha worked as a sales representative for insurance agencies in Gardner and then for the Rural Messenger in Haven. She found great joy in investing her time and care in her church and her community. Martha was an anonymous philanthropist who supported veterans, local shelters, and community organizations. Her caring heart and devoted compassion for others will be dearly missed.

On May 6, 1983, Martha married Jay Dean Holmes, the love of her life, at the Reno County courthouse in Hutchinson. They were married for 31 years, 10 months, 22 days, and now for eternity.
