Rosemary Sutton, 86, died November 16, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society – Hutchinson Village. She was born on May 25, 1939, in Turon, to Samuel Stacy “Shorty” and Opal (Fountain) Kittle.

Rosemary was a graduate of Turon High School. She worked at Dillards, Hutchinson, retiring after 25 years of service. Rosemary enjoyed bowling and bowled on a league for many years. She also enjoyed cheering on KU basketball and watching NASCAR.

Rosemary married Dick Hillman, together they had three children, they later divorced. On July 11, 1990, she married Larry D. Sutton, they shared three years of marriage prior to his death on March 18, 1994.

Rosemary is survived by: her children, Jeff (Jennifer) Rose of West Des Moines, IA, Scott (Cindy) Hillman of Temple, TX, Todd Hillman and Shellie (Bob) Roberts, both of Hutchinson; step-daughter, Brenda Koehn of Hutchinson; stepson, Larry Sutton of Beloit; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Darlene Schwamborn of Hutchinson; brothers, Stacy Kittle of California and Buford Kittle of Ohio; brothers-in-law, Max (Donna) Sutton and Duane Anstine, both of Hutchinson, Mike Gilmore of Texas; sister-in-law, Diane Kauffman of Hutchinson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; sisters, Twila Hoffman, Norma Jean Anstine, Carolyn Gilmore; and brothers-in-law, Ray Kauffman and Walter Hoffman.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2025, at Elliott Mortuary with her son, Pastor Scott Hillman, officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday with the family present 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, at Elliott Mortuary.

Michael Lynn “Mike” Almstrom, beloved husband, dad, and Poppy, 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 13, 2025. He was born April 21, 1954, in McPherson, KS to Gordon and Betty (Colwell) Almstrom.&nbsp;

Mike himself reflected in his own testimony, “I was fortunate to be raised in a Christian home where we attended church regularly. As a young boy, I went to Sunday School, Bible School, and various church youth activities. I read and heard messages from the Bible in all of these activities. When I listened to sermons concerning salvation, I believed it to be true, but it wasn’t until a few years later at a summer youth camp that I realized that I needed to personally accept Jesus as my savior and ask for His forgiveness of my sins. I realized this after hearing a salvation message given by a camp counselor at a bonfire one evening. His message became very clear to me and I went forward.”&nbsp;

Growing up on the multigenerational family farm, he developed a lifelong love for the land, farming, and nature. Landing the winning large mouth bass at age 10 ignited his lifelong passion for catch and release fishing. He spent many memorable days motorcycling to their family pasture land to fish at Canton Pond and stay overnight at the cabin. &nbsp;

Mike graduated from McPherson High School in 1972 and received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business Administration from McPherson College in 1977. On April 30, 1977, just a month before they both graduated from college, he married his lifelong love of 48 years, Linda (Garland) Almstrom. Moving to Hutchinson, KS to begin their married lives together, Mike became a Certified Public Accountant. He worked as a staff accountant at Lindburg and Vogel, a partner at Bartlett, Settle, and Edgerle, Corporate Controller and Secretary-Treasurer at Kingsley-Wagner and a Corporate Controller at Gregory’s. He later worked as an investment officer at First National Bank before his retirement.&nbsp;

Mike was a beloved father to his two daughters, Allison and Lindsay, and cherished time with them. Many precious family memories were made spending Sundays and holidays on the family farm riding horses and go-karts, shooting off fireworks, and enjoying family meals around the dining table filled with laughter, Linda’s homemade dinner rolls, and an extra dollop of butter from Gordon. Everyday life was filled with family walks to Long John Silvers and cookouts at the local park. Yearly summer trips to Colorado to visit extended family established traditions of mini golf, paddle boats, and milkshakes at Fun Valley.&nbsp;

Some of Mike’s most treasured traditions were built with his family attending Hutchinson’s Hutchfest and 4th of July Parade, taking fall family trips in the Ozarks to Silver Dollar City where Mike and Linda first went for their honeymoon, and celebrating Christmas with a family walk through the luminaries and a yearly reenactment of the nativity story with the family manger scene.&nbsp;

Mike cherished his grandchildren and was there for every birthday. He spent many hours reading favorite stories, playing, and attending sports and events. He was always quick to pull out his favorite recent pictures of the grandkids to share with his friends.&nbsp;

After his retirement he could often be found fishing off the dock at Dillon Nature Center or reading at his local Starbucks where the baristas knew him by name and started a fresh pot of coffee when he walked in the door. He faithfully attended Inspire Church.&nbsp;

He will be remembered for his faith, steadfastness, hard work ethic, generosity, humility, and deep love for his family.&nbsp;

Mike is survived by: his wife of 48 years, Linda; daughters, Allison (Chris) and Lindsay (Matt); grandchildren, Micah, Jesse, Violet, and Haddon; brother, Larry (Nancy) and sister-in-law Connie (Mike) as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

A private graveside service will be held at McPherson Cemetery at a later date.

JoAn Gum lived (in her own words) “a very interesting life.” Born in the Pittsburgh suburb of Sewickley on March 31, 1931, she moved to Southern California in her early 20s. She lived in Las Vegas before settling in Sterling, KS, 55 years ago with her husband, Hershel. She wondered then if this small town could hold her big personality. Instead, she found warm, loving friends, won over by her quick wit, homemade meals, and her gift for storytelling. She passed peacefully at home on November 12, 2025, at the age of 94.

JoAn is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Gordon and Lula Mae Miller Settle, and her husband, Hershel. Her children survive: Susan Ziegler and Leslie Wolfe (Charlie) of Sterling, Gary Rosensteel (Peggy) of St. Louis, and Carolyn Bennett of Hutchinson, as well as her six grandchildren: Tricia Ziegler Moss (Mark) of Snow Camp, NC; Lydia Rosensteel and Aaron Rosensteel of St. Louis; Wendy Wolfe (Cheryl) of Hutchinson and Travis Kateley (fiancée Alana) of Sterling and William Kateley of Wichita; and Alicia Meer (Henry) of New York City. She has nine great-grandchildren.

In the course of her life, JoAn worked as a homemaker, bank teller, property manager, and cook. But she found her passion at the young age of 65 when she co-founded a catering company, Black Tie Affair. JoAn and her partner, Vivian Gaylon, worked tirelessly, serving memorable meals of all sizes and varieties until JoAn retired at age 80. She collected cookbooks, but rarely followed a recipe, and you were in for a culinary adventure when she said, “You know what sounds good?”

Along with her passion for cooking, JoAn enjoyed decorating and dressing to the nines. She had the gift of total recall and a story for every occasion. A lifelong bridge player, she was an active participant in her bridge group until the end of her life.

Jim Eugene Hutchison, 68, went home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2025. He was born February 5, 1957, in Dodge City, to Robert and Patsy (Wasson) Hutchison.

Jim graduated from Gateway High School, Aurora, CO, in 1975. In his younger years he worked on a farm in Montezuma and retired as a mechanical assembler from Siemens Gamesa. Jim was an avid fisherman and found great joy in camping, where he could relax and share time with his family. One of his greatest pleasures was woodworking; He loved spending time in his workshop, creating meaningful pieces that he lovingly shared with his family. In his later years, he found much pleasure in gardening. Jim attended CrossPoint Church, Hutchinson.

On July 15, 1989, he married Sondra Strassburg, in Lewis.

Jim is survived by: his wife of 36 years, Sondra Hutchison; sons, Nicholas (Christine) Hutchison; Nathan (Makinna) Hutchison; granddaughter, RayJean Hutchison; step-granddaughters; Destiny (Andrew) Repp, Cassidy (Ethan) Bonnett, mother, Patsy Hutchison, all of Hutchinson; brother, Randy (Debie) Hutchison of Centennial, CO; mother-in-law, Shirley Strassburg of Lewis; sisters-in-law, Julie (Tom) Vansickle of Lewis and Karen (Richard) Fairchild of Larned; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gary O. McCue, 73, died November 13, 2025, in Hutchinson. He was born on September 15, 1952, in Hutchinson, to Robert Owen and Charlotte Rose (Riggs) McCue.

Gary graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1970. He was a lifelong carpenter, retiring from Wiens Construction in 2016. As a child, Gary was a faithful altar boy for many years.&nbsp;

In 1984, he married Priscilla Page, they later divorced.

Gary is survived by: sister, Kelle (Jim) Stewart; brother, Deron (Debbie) McCue, both of Hutchinson; stepchildren, Melissa Neilson and Joe Page; six step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and faithful companion, Blackie.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and sister, Sue Wagler.

Dorothea Louise Warner, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.&nbsp;

Louise was born on August 23, 1958, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to George “Dick” and Dorothy (Nevius) Gum. She grew up fishing with her dad, gardening with her mom, and caring for her four younger siblings: Pat Furrow (Doug) of Orange Beach, AL, Barbara Cardiasmenos (Cris) of Kimberling City, MO, Penny Coonis (Mike) of Fair Grove, MO and Ben Gum (Dawna) of Lenexa, KS.&nbsp;

She accepted Christ as her Savior at age six at Westside Baptist Church and was baptized at nine, beginning a lifetime of faithful service.

Louise graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1976 and earned her CNA license, working at the local hospital. A month spent in Argentina with her missionary aunt and uncle awakened a calling to missions that shaped the rest of her life. She later attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, earning a degree in Biblical Studies. There she met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Warner, whom she married on December 23, 1978.&nbsp;

Louise was blessed with four children: Sarah Reiss (Joel) of Hutchinson, KS, Joseph Warner (Melissa) of Weatherford, TX, Robert Warner (Kat) of Williamsburg, VA, and William Warner (Brittney) of El Dorado, KS and 13 grandchildren. She served in various church ministries in Kansas and Michigan while pursuing her passion for education. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1991 and later a Master’s degree from Newman University in English as a Second Language and Curriculum Design. She spent more than 20 years teaching students in general education, special education, ESL, and music.&nbsp;

After the passing of her husband in 2011, Louise returned to Hutchinson. Louise lived with a congenital heart defect throughout her life, requiring two open-heart surgeries and later a pacemaker. Declining health prevented her return to the Philippines, but she remained faithful until the Lord called her home.

She grew up fishing with her dad, gardening with her mom, and caring for her four younger siblings: Pat Furrow (Doug) of Orange Beach, AL, Barbara Cardiasmenos (Cris) of Kimberling City, MO, Penny Coonis (Mike) of Fair Grove, MO and Ben Gum (Dawna) of Lenexa, KS.&nbsp;She accepted Christ as her Savior at age six at Westside Baptist Church and was baptized at nine, beginning a lifetime of faithful service.Louise graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1976 and earned her CNA license, working at the local hospital. A month spent in Argentina with her missionary aunt and uncle awakened a calling to missions that shaped the rest of her life. She later attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, earning a degree in Biblical Studies. There she met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Warner, whom she married on December 23, 1978.&nbsp;Louise was blessed with four children: Sarah Reiss (Joel) of Hutchinson, KS, Joseph Warner (Melissa) of Weatherford, TX, Robert Warner (Kat) of Williamsburg, VA, and William Warner (Brittney) of El Dorado, KS and 13 grandchildren. She served in various church ministries in Kansas and Michigan while pursuing her passion for education. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1991 and later a Master’s degree from Newman University in English as a Second Language and Curriculum Design. She spent more than 20 years teaching students in general education, special education, ESL, and music.&nbsp;After the passing of her husband in 2011, Louise returned to Hutchinson. Dale R. Wohlford, 92, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025 at Larksfield Place Health Care Center, Wichita. &nbsp;Dale was born on the family farm east of Sawyer, Kansas (Pratt county) on January 18, 1933 to Ansel and Vonnie (Blackwell) Wohlford. &nbsp;In 1940 the family moved to Kingman county and were dairy farmers. &nbsp;

At a young age, Dale worked on the family farm bailing hay. During high school, Dale worked part-time as a meat cutter. After Dale’s graduation from Kingman High School In 1951, he enlisted in the United States Naval Reserve. During time at the Great Lakes Naval Station bootcamp, he was recognized with the “Company Honor Man” award. &nbsp;While on Christmas leave from the Navy, he married the love of his life, Phyllis Howerton, on December 27, 1953 at the Kingman Christian Church. &nbsp;In the 1970’s, Dale joined the Army Reserve unit of the 89th ARCOM in Wichita, Kansas. Fittingly, Dale passed away on Veterans Day. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

After Dale returned to Kansas from military service in Norfolk, Virginia, he worked in the meat industry for 15 years. In 1967 Dale was hired by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a Meat &amp; Poultry Inspector and served 42 years. &nbsp;One of Dale’s favorite assignments was working at the annual Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) mobile canner operation. Volunteers join together to prepare cans of turkey, beef, chicken and pork, which are shipped to people in need around the world. Dale was proud of the many friends he gained working as a food safety inspector for the USDA. &nbsp;&nbsp;

Dale’s hobbies included camping, canoeing, fishing, and hunting.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

Dale is survived by: his wife, Phyllis of almost 72 years; daughter, Teri (David); granddaughter, Sarah; and two great-granddaughters, Thalia and Kalea.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Ansel and Vonnie Wohlford; daughter, Deborah Hartstein: grandson, Daniel, brother Claude (Barbara); and brother-in-law, Dale Howerton (Phyllis). &nbsp;

Vicki graduated from Bettendorf High School, Bettendorf, IA, in 1971. She loved animals and always showed empathy towards them. Vicki enjoyed plants and flowers, as well as spending time coloring and watching mysterious phenomenon television programs. Vicki was a selfless woman, who became a second mother to her three loving grandchildren.

On December 29, 1973, she married Robert David Cox, in Davenport, IA.

Vicki is survived by: her husband of almost 52 years, Robert Cox; father, Alan Cothrell; son-in-law, Lee Ward; grandchildren, Sheldon, Landon and Kyla Ward, all of Hutchinson; sister, Cathy Tucker of Centennial, CO; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her mother, Delores “Dee” Cothrell; daughter, Tonya Rae Ward; and son, Shawn Alan Cox.

Keith Edward Thompson, 84, passed from this life surrounded by loved ones at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita. He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas, on June 18, 1941, to Elma (Ketchum) and George Thompson.&nbsp;

Keith graduated from St. Teresa’s Catholic School in 1959 and joined the United States Army in January 1960. He served for 6 years many of which were spent in Frankfurt, West Germany. During his honorable service, Keith was recognized with the Good Conduct Medal and Expert (Carbine) Badge reflecting his outstanding discipline and proficiency. &nbsp;Once he returned to Hutchinson, he then went on to work for Cessna Aviation, Consolidated Manufacturing, and AGCO Corporation retiring in 2004.

In 1979, he met Jacqueline “Jackie” Pierson. They combined their families and married in 1981. Together, they enjoyed 43 wonderful years of love and marriage. Keith was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

In his life, Keith was a man of many hobbies. He loved to hunt, fish, and participate in a local black-powder club. He was best known for his “mountain man” persona always sporting a long beard, a big smile, and a well-loved pair of moccasins. Keith enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and supporting Kansas sports teams of all kinds. Keith was a hard worker and a good friend. &nbsp;He was always willing to lend a hand to help with a project.

He is survived by his: wife, Jackie; sons, Brian (Sylvia) and Patrick (Ashley); stepchildren, Jason (Shannon) and Janelle; grandchildren, Fabian, Shelby, Dominic, Paige (Orion), Kiersten (Austin), Nick, Rylie (Preston), Allie, Ryan, Cooper, Ellissa, Trevor, and Emeri; great-grandchildren, Sequoia, Carter, Olivia, Luna, Onyx, Leon, Maverick, Lynnox, and Callie; siblings, Mike (Denise), Pat (Patty), Sharon, Lynne, and Raelene as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and dog, Dolly.

Norman was affectionately recognized as “Stormin’ Norman” and was known as a Jack of all trades. Immediately after high school, he moved to Des Moines, Iowa to help family and work at their tire shop. After moving back, Norman worked at Pratt Cement Plant, Central States Gas Company and began working in the oil field where he became fluent in all positions. He worked at Vincent Oil, Kirkman Oil, Younger Energy, and Bullseye Oilfield. Norman also ran a gas station in Turon for his treasured uncle Wiley. He was a diligent man who worked long hard hours and did not complain. Norman loved spending time with his family and put their needs above his own.&nbsp;

Norman is survived by: beloved partner of 22 years, Donna Leslie of Plevna; children, Chris (Lisa) Morelan and Casey Morelan, both of Pratt; mother of children and friend, Cathy Morelan of Pratt; grandchildren, Colton (Tasha), Chase (Hailey), Cassidy, Tyler (Cassie), Brandon, McKenna, Kameron, Kambrey, Harper, Julian, Bentley, Brody, and Colton; one adored great-grandson, Karson Lee; and loving canine companions, Mika and Sammy.&nbsp;

Armando Jaques, 64, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, surrounded by family at his sister’s home in Hutchinson. He was born August 27, 1961, in Mexico City, Mexico, to Jose Jaques and Juanita Dorantes.

Armando spent much of his life working in construction, where his strong work ethic and creative spirit shone through. Outside of work, he had a passion for designing crafts and painting—often sharing his colorful creations with those he loved. He also enjoyed attending concerts and found joy in music and the arts.

Above all, Armando cherished his family. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life, and time spent with them brought him immeasurable happiness. In recent years, Armando began attending CrossPoint Church. Even as his health declined, he continued to watch their services online, drawing comfort and peace from his faith.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jakee Jaques (Terrance) of Nebraska and Mara Jaques (Garrett) of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Vivienne, Jordyn, Lorenzo, Lennyx, Lucas, Londyn, Gracelynn, Karter, and Ezekiel; sister, Carmen Jaquez; niece, Isable Marshall (Scott); and many other loving brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will deeply miss him.

Gary Fletchall, 78, of Hutchinson, Kansas, was called home to Heaven on November 8, 2025.

He was born in Missouri and raised in Lyons, Kansas, the son of Clyde and Phyllis Fletchall, and one of nine children.

Gary proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. After his service, he spent most of his life as a professional truck driver, logging over one million miles without an accident, an achievement he took great pride in.

Beyond trucking, Gary also served as a preacher and faithfully led his family in nightly devotions and prayer. He often said the greatest thing he could do for his family was to make sure they knew the Lord.

Gary loved hunting and fishing, cheering on his beloved Jayhawk basketball team, and playing Rook with friends and family. But more than anything, he loved spending time with his wife of 50 years, Linda Fletchall, who survives him.

He is also survived by his children, Mark Fletchall and Kimberly Frank; his grandchildren, Stacia Struble, Aaron Frank, Maxine Harrell, Ravin Fletchall, Caleb Fletchall, and Ezekiel Fletchall; as well as 10 great grandchildren.

On May 30, 1981, Kirk married Kathryn L. “Kathy” Kasel, in Harper. She survives.

Also surviving are: his children, Sarah Snider (Preston) of Buhler, Adam Zongker (Jessica) of Hutchinson, Molly Williamson (Pippin) of Hutchinson, Luke Zongker (Jessica) of McPherson, Grace Wiens (Lane) of Topeka, Faith Zongker of Lafayette, IN; 14 grandchildren; siblings, Randall Zongker (Susan) of Charlotte, NC, Debra Erxleben of Orlando, FL, Shana Burgess (Jesse) of Lyons; and many extended family members.

Ralph Eugene Shepherd, 81, died November 6, 2025, at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler. He was born October 5, 1944, at his grandmother’s house in Attica, KS, the firstborn child of Ralph B. and Dorothy (Martin) Shepherd.

Ralph’s mother moved her family to Hutchinson when he was four years old, along with his sister. &nbsp;He attended Lincoln Elementary School, Sherman Jr. High School, and graduated from Hutchinson High School with the class of 1962. &nbsp;

Ralph worked at Safeway grocery store while going to high school and following his graduation. &nbsp;On April 8, 1967, while working at Safeway, he met the love of his life, Ramona Schott on a blind date after receiving her phone number from a mutual friend. &nbsp;They were married June 8, 1968. Ralph was building mobile homes at that time for Detroiter Mobile Homes.

In August 1973, Ralph and Ramona felt God’s call to help establish a home mission church that was being organized in Mankato, MN. The call was so strong that they both gave up their jobs and borrowed the money to move to Mankato. &nbsp;God provided every step that was needed, and on the third day in Mankato, Ralph received a job at the 7-Up bottling plant. &nbsp;He worked there every day for nearly seven years. &nbsp;Also, during that time, Ralph was helping to build the church and grow the congregation.&nbsp;

On September 17, 1978, Ralph and Ramona welcomed Robert Eugene “Robbie’ Shepherd into their family.&nbsp;

In May 1980, Ralph, Ramona and Robbie returned to Hutchinson. &nbsp;Ralph began working at Carey Salt, where he worked for 19 years, until the plant was closed. &nbsp;For the majority of that time he was a block press operating, catching 50-pound salt blocks from the hydraulic press and stacking them on a pallet, while working many 12-hour days.

On October 1, 1981, the family welcomed Ryan Paul Shepherd.

After Carey Salt closed, Ralph went to work for Hutchinson Salt Company in the salt mine for two years working 750 feet underground. &nbsp;This was a seasonal job, so during the off periods in the mine, Ralph worked in the park department for the City of Hutchinson. &nbsp;He retired in 2017.

Ralph had a love for motorcycles, racing, and antique cars, buying a 1966 Mustang, which the restored and enjoyed driving for many years.

In 2023, Ralph moved to Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler.&nbsp;

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Andrew and Bessie Martin; paternal grandparents, John and Olive Shepherd; maternal aunts and uncles; paternal uncle and aunt; and a stillborn baby boy on March 20, 1977.&nbsp;

Ralph is survived by: &nbsp;his wife of 57 years, Ramona; his children, Robbie (Sarah) Shepherd and Ryan Shepherd; granddaughter, Rylie Paige Shepherd; sister, Eloise; half-brother, Dick Koeppen, Sr, and two nephews and a niece.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Jason Avery, the Reverend J. R. Spellman, and Pastor George D. Ronald D. Henke, 80, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at the Hospice House. Born on June 1, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas, Ron was the only son of Albert and Ruth Henke.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, contributing to operations during the Vietnam era. Faith was an important part of Ron’s life. A devoted Christian, he served his congregation as a deacon and lived each day guided by his belief in service and compassion.

Ron is lovingly remembered by his son, William; his daughter, Casey; and his four cherished grandchildren.

Janice Kay “Jan” Piatt, 86, formerly of Nickerson, died November 5, 2025, at Sparkling Fountain Homes in Overland Park. She was born September 30, 1939, in Pratt, to Verne M. and Juanita M. (Willis) Ayers.

Jan graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1958. She was a devoted farmer’s wife, loving caregiver, and worked as a custodian at USD 309 Nickerson Elementary School from 1983 to 1995. Jan had a passion for gardening, canning, painting, and crafting, but her greatest joy came from being a grandmother. She was deeply involved in the Nickerson community, serving on the Klear Nearly Day committee and attending Nickerson United Methodist Church.

In 1959, Jan married John W. Griffin and they later divorced. On September 14, 1984, she married Jack L. Piatt, in Nickerson. They shared nearly 30 years of marriage before his death on March 19, 2013.

Jan is survived by: her daughter, Jennifer Rueschhoff (Jason) of Lawrence; stepchildren, Brooke Piatt-Carreon (Ed) and Brent Piatt (Linda) all of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Michael Bugner of Kansas City, MO, Olivia Garcia and Bella Garcia of Lawrence, Ashley Williams and Alexzandra Samra of Las Vegas, NV, Jacob Rueschhoff of Blue Springs, MO; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Jeanette Bauer (Mike) of Murphy, TX; Dennis Ayers (Linda) of Enoch, UT, Judy Bechtold (Tom) of Andover; brother-in-law, Joel Piatt (Cheryl) of Union, KY; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Paul Michael Todd Dankanyin, 60, passed away on October 31, 2025, in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. He was born December 25, 1964, in Hutchinson, to John Dankanyin and Kathleen (Cavanaugh) Dankanyin.

Paul graduated in 1983 from Buford High School, Buford GA and attended K-State University. Paul was an amazing artist with a natural talent for drawing comic book characters and portraits. He had a massive comic book collection, enjoyed Numerology and Tarot Card Readings. He worked as a line cook and chef. In May 1998, Paul married Nathalie Mineault in Las Vegas and then to moved Quebec, Canada.

Paul is survived by: wife, Nathalie Mineault; mother, Kathleen Dankanyin; sister, Danna Dankanyin (Steve Dick); former brother-in-law, Mike Buzzard; niece, Brandi (Ricky); nephew, Jackson (Angie); great-niece Ellie; great-nephew Zander; mother-in-law, Nicole; sister-in-law, Chantal (Gilles); several cousins; relatives and friends.

Paul was predeceased by: his father and nephew, Michael Buzzard.

He was born December 25, 1964, in Hutchinson, to John Dankanyin and Kathleen (Cavanaugh) Dankanyin.Paul graduated in 1983 from Buford High School, Buford GA and attended K-State University. Paul was an amazing artist with a natural talent for drawing comic book characters and portraits. He had a massive comic book collection, enjoyed Numerology and Tarot Card Readings. He worked as a line cook and chef. In May 1998, Paul married Nathalie Mineault in Las Vegas and then to moved Quebec, Canada.Paul is survived by: wife, Nathalie Mineault; mother, Kathleen Dankanyin; sister, Danna Dankanyin (Steve Dick); former brother-in-law, Mike Buzzard; niece, Brandi (Ricky); nephew, Jackson (Angie); great-niece Ellie; great-nephew Zander; mother-in-law, Nicole; sister-in-law, Chantal (Gilles); several cousins; relatives and friends.Paul was predeceased by: his father and nephew, Michael Buzzard.Cremation&nbsp; has taken&nbsp; place and no services are planned.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Robin Lynn Earley, 62, longtime Hutchinson, Kansas resident, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Ascension Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on September 1, 1963 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Edwin Lloyd and Judith Ann Lemen Tomlin, Sr. Robin was raised in Hutchinson and later moved to Wichita where she graduated from high school in 1982.

Through the years she lived in Dodge City, Utah, and Georgia before settling back in Hutchinson.

Robin loved to spend time with her grandkids as well as riding her bicycle around. She also enjoyed sewing, playing darts and Farkle.

Survivors include her daughter Yolanda Patterson and husband Clayton Biery; son Christopher Stowell and wife Nicole; along with her grandchildren Alexander Stowell, Peyton Stowell, William Stowell, Gabriel Patterson and Gracelyn Patterson all of Hutchinson.

Robin is also survived by her two sisters Susan Lee Barton and husband Lyle of McPherson, Kansas and Michelle Lynette Morse and husband Paul of Hutchinson.&nbsp;

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Edwin L. Tomlin, Jr.

Memorial services will be held at Journey Church in Hutchinson on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025 at 11:00 A.M.

Georgia Lauren Ballard, 52, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. She was born June 19, 1973, in Lindsborg, the daughter of Kenneth D. and Wanda L. Barnes Stull. She was a 1991 graduate of Inman High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Friends University.

Georgia most recently worked as an SVP in Lending at Citizen’s State Bank, McPherson. She had previously worked at American Ag Credit. She also served as treasurer for the Inman High School PTO. Georgia was a member of Buhler Mennonite Church and was very strong in her faith. Her family and hanging with friends were most important to her.

She married Brian Ballard on August 5, 1995, at Bethel Mennonite Church, Inman. He survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Jesse and Drew; two daughters, Marlee and Micah, all of the home; her mother, Wanda Stull, Medicine Lodge; and a brother, Michael Stull, Lake City.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation with the family present will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 5–7 PM at Buhler Mennonite Church. A private burial will be held. Celebration of life services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Buhler Mennonite Church.

Ralph Leon Nease, 75, passed away on November 1, 2025, at his home in Hutchinson, KS. He was born August 18, 1950, in Lyons, KS, the son of Harold and Goldie (Wedel) Nease. 

Ralph worked for Carey Salt for over 40 years and was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1968 and was honorably discharged in 1971. On June 8, 1970, he married Mary Lou Gange in Great Bend, KS. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and vacations in Montana with the family. 

Ralph is survived by his children, Ralph L. Nease, Jr., Sabin L. Nease and wife Nikki, and Tamar L. Bender and husband Jacob; sister, Deanna Coker and husband Richard; two nieces; one nephew and several cousins. 

He is preceded by his parents and wife, Mary Lou. 

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3304 N. Max Charles Shuler, 75, died November 3, 2025, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. &nbsp;He was born December 27, 1949, in Hutchinson, to Gilbert A. “JR” and Betty Rose (Heiken) Shuler. &nbsp;

Max graduated from Nickerson High School in 1969. &nbsp;He retired as a welder from KMW, Sterling. &nbsp;Max enjoyed watching western television shows. &nbsp;He was a member of Mitchell Chapel United Methodist Church.

On July 14, 1972, he married his high school sweetheart, Irmtraud “Irmie” Marx, at Zion Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.&nbsp;

Max is survived by: &nbsp;wife, Irmie Shuler of Hutchinson; sons, Jacob Shuler of Georgetown, TX and Aron Shuler, DVM of Hutchinson; granddaughters, Lilianna Shuler of Georgetown, TX and Kaitlyn Shuler of Hutchinson; sister, DiAnn Bussard of Hutchinson; and brothers, Mark Shuler of Havana, KS and Ernest Shuler of Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Jamie Shuler.

Private inurnment will take place in Mitchell Cemetery.
