Ronald Keith Stucky, 80, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 at his home.&nbsp; He was born December 26, 1941 in Moundridge, the son of Milton J. and Emma (Miller) Stucky.

Ron graduated from Moundridge High School with the class of 1960.

He was united in marriage to Renetta Sue Stucky on November 3, 1961 in Moundridge.&nbsp; She preceded him in death on June 18, 2021 after almost 60 years of marriage.

Ron and Renetta were current members of the Medora Community Bible Church in Medora.

Ron was a farmer.&nbsp; He and his brother James owned and operated Gold Nugget Manufacturing in Moundridge.&nbsp; Ron would later work for Hesston Corporation as a welder, and as a machinist at Bradbury in Moundridge, where he retired after 20 years.

He is survived by his son, Russell (Lynelle) Stucky of Moundridge; daughter, Denise (Anthony) Jasso of Moundridge; five grandchildren, Lauren (Allen) Bonde, Evan (Payton) Stucky, Blair Stucky, Julianna Jasso, and Allison Jasso; two great-grandchildren, Walker Stucky and Quinn Stucky; three sisters, Darda Wedel of Minneapolis, June Graber of Moundridge, and Roberta (Delton) Ollenburger of Moundridge; and sister-in-law, Twilla Stucky of Moundridge.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother, James; and niece, Jennifer Stucky.

Cremation is planned with a private family burial at Eden Mennonite Church Cemetery.&nbsp; Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2022 at Moundridge Funeral Home.&nbsp; Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 18 at Medora Community Bible Church.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Michael Thomas Charles was born on December 6, 2002 in Salina, to Connie Harzman and Christopher Charles. 

Michael passed away unexpectedly at his home near Hope, on June 7, 2022. Michael lived most of his life in the Wichita area and graduated from East High School with the Class of 2021. 

He loved and was exceptionally skilled at video games, whether playing with friends for enjoyment or competing in gaming tournaments around Wichita.  One of his favorite games was Super Smash Brothers. Michael was gifted in technology and built his own computers. He enjoyed Anime, Spider-man, and comic books.  Michael was a natural caregiver to people and animals and he was often known to be helping his father or hanging out with his dog Poco.  As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Legacy at Herrington, his care for others was evident in everything he did and he was contemplating starting LPN school. 

  Michael is survived by his parents, brothers; Joshua (Kelly) Harzman, David (Natalie) Harzman, and Xavier Charles, Grandmothers; Brenda Wendell and Georgia Kay Charles, Uncles; Mark (Theresa) Wendell, John (Cindy) Charles, Aunt; Laurie Hickle, and many, many cousins. 

Throughout his nineteen years, Michael touched multiple hearts and was deeply loved by all. The family will host a private celebration of Michael’s life June 30th, 2022. An E-sports scholarship at Wichita State University is being created in his memory.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Rita Gale Pratt, of Medicine Lodge, died Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 14, 1955 in Duncan, OK, the daughter of Perry Dale Gross and Twyla Mae (Tillemans) Gross. On January 25, 1991, she married Craig Eric Pratt in Medicine Lodge. He survives. Rita attended the First Assembly of God Church in Medicine Lodge, KS. She loved helping people and staying busy. Surviving in addition to her husband Craig Pratt of Medicine Lodge, are one son, Garth Pratt of Medicine Lodge; four daughters, Chella (Stephen) Milfeld of Oak Harbor, WA, Alyssa Chance of Medicine Lodge, Shanna (Matt) Cormier and Erica (Gary) Rogers of Farmington, NH; six grandchildren, Payton and Perry Milfeld, Arianna and Hannah Rogers, Grayson Chance and Wesley Christopher Cormier. Also surviving are several “adopted” children. Rita was preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers, Perry and Larry Gross.

Gerald Wade "Speedy" Miller of McPherson, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, in the loving home he and his wife Barbara lived in since 1973.

Gerald was born December 22, 1946, in McPherson, the son of Wade Ward Miller and Lucile Marie (Fairchild) of McPherson Kansas.

Gerald grew up playing marbles, cowboys and Indians, army, hide and go seek, baseball, pheasant hunting in western Kansas, and anything outside. &nbsp;One of his fondest childhood memories was riding the tractor with Granddad Fairchild in the dark fields at night. Other memories include playing till after dark around the home he grew up in at 700 South Chestnut in McPherson.

Gerald went to Roosevelt Grade School, McPherson Intermediate School, and McPherson Senior High. He attended Wichita State University from 1964-1969, earning a degree in elementary education and earning the honor of distinguished military student in ROTC.

On August 6, 1967, he married Barbara Jean Kline at the First United Methodist Church in McPherson. Both Speedy and Barb say they were lucky to have both the boy they wanted when Richard Warren was born in 1969 and daughter Amy RaeAnn in 1972.

Gerald served as a convoy trail officer and convoy commander in Vietnam in 1970-71 where he earned a Bronze Star with V-Device. After completing his tour in Vietnam, he returned to McPherson to work in the family auto shop until he sold the shop in 2008.

Gerald attended and served at First Baptist Church, McPherson where he was a member since 1958. Gerald taught Sunday School classes and actively served the church youth group. Gerald was baptized at age 12. His life embodied the Christian Faith due to his devoted love for Jesus his Lord and Savior.

Gerald was an Eagle Scout and later went on to serve as an adult leader for Troop 133. He even finished a grueling two-week hike in the New Mexico mountains with son Richard. Speedy also found time to help his father-in-law Shorty Kline bring T-ball to McPherson. Gerald coached T-ball as well as umpired for Kansas and Western league baseball.

Gerald was a member of the McPherson Optimist Club and was named Optimist of the Year in 1979. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge where he was Officer of the Year in 1999-2000. He served on several boards including Big Brothers &amp; Big Sisters, McPherson Pheasants Forever, Kansas Tire Dealers Association, and Washington Elementary School PTA President. The Millers, along with Jim and Gayle Snow, operated the McPherson County Teen Center for 10 years.

Speedy fulfilled one dream by winning the Senior Division Golf Championship at the McPherson Country Club in 2009 and yet another by sky diving on different occasions.

Gerald lived life to the fullest as he enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, trips to the east coast, snow skiing, water skiing, country dancing, teaching country dancing, winters in Arizona, trips to Lake of the Ozarks, and golfing with friends and family.

Gerald’s greatest passion was supporting his grandchildren in whatever activities they pursued. For the past 10 years, his passion for watching McPherson baseball became iconic. He was the adopted “grandpa” of the team. Gerald could be heard cheering for every batter and every good play – and on occasion correcting the umpire on an incorrect call. In spite of his declining health, he wouldn’t miss a game – as if his life depended on it.&nbsp; In one of the final games Gerald attended, his grandson Joey Miller pitched a “No Hitter”, a proud moment for grandpa.

Survivors include: his wife of 54 years Barbara Miller; two children, Richard Miller (Leslee) of McPherson and Amy Fulcher (Chad Haen) of McPherson; &nbsp;grandchildren, Ryan Fulcher, Myranda Vera (Carlos), Maggie Miller, Joey Miller, Claire Miller, and Payton Miller; great-grandchildren, Ellena Vera and Emery Vera; sister, Sharon Bosley of Arlington, TX; and brother, Warren Miller (Cathy) of Colorado Springs, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Rebecca Fulcher.

Gerald lived to love and serve his family, church, community, and country. Gerald had too many friends to count and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

A celebration of Gerald’s life will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 24, at the First Baptist Church.&nbsp; Inurnment, with military honors, will follow at McPherson Cemetery.&nbsp; The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday (June 23) at Stockham Family Funeral Home.

Venissa Zane McMillian escaped her nagging children and made her final sarcastic comment on June 9th, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 63. 

Venissa was born on October 17th, 1958 in Great Bend, to Richard Dwayne Graham and Nila Jean Matkin. Venissa leaves behind her loving husband, Mac, her two younger siblings Abby and Devin, five children: Heather, Todd, Monica, Lindsay, and Tori, two nephews that she adored: Steven and Lance, nine grandchildren that lit up her world, and one perfect great-granddaughter. 

Venissa was a dedicated mother, friend, and Registered Nurse. She is looking forward to some much-needed peace and quiet, drinking coffee with Jesus and listening to her beloved Elton John on repeat for eternity, free from the constant call lights and beeping IV poles that have plagued her for the last 30+ years. Venissa has entered the pearly gates to join her parents Dwayne and Nila, her little brother Bland, and niece Kristen.

Harold Dean Schwiethale, 74, of Hutchinson, died June 11, 2022, at his home. He was born February 19, 1948, in Hutchinson, to Lawrence and Elsie (Hofen) Schwiethale. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Schwiethale.

Harold graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1966, and then attended Hutchinson Community College. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Harold was a man of many facets. There was always something in his hand, a golf club, firearm, fishing rod, or the lucky hand at the table. He sported a toothpick in his mouth or tucked behind his ear, he’d leave a trail as he traveled the day. Harold was a master in the kitchen, a mixologist, and a coffee connoisseur. He was full of knowledge and he would share, even without being asked. Harold’s mischievous smile and quick wit were infectious. He was a devoted son, loyal brother, doting uncle, and passionate and a trusted friend. Harold’s years with the Golden Gloves was his passion, where he mentored youth for a better path.

He lived his life on his own terms, until the Lord called him home. Harold was blessed to be reconnected with his high school sweetheart, Patty. He lived and died a happy man. Harold’s last days were surrounded by love and peace. He will be greatly missed and was deeply loved by his nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.

Cremation has taken place and burial will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Donald William Parker, 79, passed away June 10, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.&nbsp; He was born October 24, 1942, in Hutchinson, to William E. Lee and Marie Wave (Smyres) Parker.

Donald was a 1961 graduate of Hutchinson High School.&nbsp; He served in the United States Army.&nbsp; Donald was employed as a machine and boiler operator at Cessna/Eaton Corporation, retiring with over 43 years of service.&nbsp; He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68.

Donald was a lifelong motorcycle rider.&nbsp; He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, especially to Spangles to have breakfast with the Romeo Motorcycle Club.&nbsp; After Donald’s retirement in 2009, he and his wife would travel every year to Texas for six months, where they made lifelong friends.

On March 10, 1971, he married Phyllis Ann Scott, in Newkirk, OK.&nbsp; They shared over 51 years of marriage.

Donald is survived by:&nbsp; his wife, Phyllis Parker of Hutchinson; sons, Chad (Jamie) Parker of Wichita, and Matthew (Andrea) Parker of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Dayton (Kaylee) Snow, Ashlin Parker, Elizabeth (Josh) Gillis, Cierra (Dominque) Berendsen, Kayla Parker, Jacob Gillis, and Cassidy Parker; and seven great-grandchildren.

Lee and Marie Wave (Smyres) Parker.Donald was a 1961 graduate of Hutchinson High School.&nbsp; He served in the United States Army.&nbsp; Donald was employed as a machine and boiler operator at Cessna/Eaton Corporation, retiring with over 43 years of service.&nbsp; He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68.Donald was a lifelong motorcycle rider.&nbsp; He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, especially to Spangles to have breakfast with the Romeo Motorcycle Club.&nbsp; After Donald’s retirement in 2009, he and his wife would travel every year to Texas for six months, where they made lifelong friends.On March 10, 1971, he married Phyllis Ann Scott, in Newkirk, OK.&nbsp; They shared over 51 years of marriage.Donald is survived by:&nbsp; his wife, Phyllis Parker of Hutchinson; sons, Chad (Jamie) Parker of Wichita, and Matthew (Andrea) Parker of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Dayton (Kaylee) Snow, Ashlin Parker, Elizabeth (Josh) Gillis, Cierra (Dominque) Berendsen, Kayla Parker, Jacob Gillis, and Cassidy Parker; and seven great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents.Cremation has taken place.&nbsp; A private family Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a future date.

She continued her education at Kansas State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in Education and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society. &nbsp;Brooke continued her education at Fort Hays State, earning her master's degree in Counselling. She was nearing completion of her doctorate degree and had recently returned to Kansas State as a lecturer, fulfilling one of her long-term goals. Brooke was employed by USD 487 Herington, first as a middle school English teacher, then transitioned to teaching high school Social Science, and then as a mental health liaison.&nbsp; She also coached high school basketball. She had a passion for helping kids in need and all of Brooke’s students held a very special place in her heart.

Brooke married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Michael Gursky, on August 11, 2012, in Abilene. Michael and Brooke were then blessed with three wonderful children: Wyatt, Bryar, and Garrett. She was an incredibly loving and devoted wife and mother, whose greatest joy was her family. Brooke coached the kids in T-Ball and was always enthusiastically cheering them on at football, gymnastics, soccer, wrestling and swimming events.

She is survived by her husband Michael of Herington; children Wyatt, Bryar, and Garrett; parents Will and Sylvia Hollis of Dwight; in-laws Sara Boyce and Michael Anthony of Kansas City, MO and Christopher and Cindy Gursky of Lafayette, LA; grandpa Howard Hollis of Milford; sisters and besties Brittany (James) Jones of Emporia, and Bethany (Pete) Husband of East St. Paul, MN; and nephew Zayden and nieces Genevieve, and Penelope;&nbsp; and brother-in-law Ty Suggs of Manhattan.&nbsp;

Helen Viola Rosenblad, 98, passed away June 10, 2022, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson.&nbsp; She was born December 14, 1923, in Hutchinson, to Raymond Grant and Edith May (Hunter) Streeter.

Helen was a graduate of Hutchinson High School.&nbsp; She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and Physical Education from Baker University, Baldwin City.&nbsp; Helen was a board member of the Southwest Kansas and Northwest Kansas Agencies on Aging.&nbsp; During her tenure as a board member, she helped establish a bus service for senior citizens and built central kitchens for the Minneola, and Downs, KS, communities.&nbsp; Helen was a member of the City of Hutchinson Housing Task Force and City of Hutchinson Community Improvement Commission.&nbsp; She was a founder and director of Interfaith Housing and Community Services Inc., Hutchinson.&nbsp; Helen was recruited to join the Hutchinson Symphony Orchestra in 1966.&nbsp; She played second violin and remained as a musician with the symphony for 20 years.

On June 8, 1946, Helen married Rev. Ralph Alexander Rosenblad, at the First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.&nbsp; They shared over 67 years of marriage, prior to his death on March 8, 2014.&nbsp; Being the wife of a pastor meant that she had to perform the duties of a pastor’s wife, from singing in the choir, providing cakes and casseroles for funeral dinners, to working with the activities of the children in the church.&nbsp; Helen and her husband served four churches in the New England United Methodist Church Conference and then relocated to Kansas, serving six churches in the Kansas West United Methodist Church Conference.&nbsp; She was passionate about both sides of the family genealogy which she researched and wrote about extensively.

She is survived by:&nbsp; her children, Signe (Glen) Rogers of Newton; Eric (Kathy) Rosenblad of Pittsburg; Kirstin (Robert) Zielke of Fowler; and Lars (Christine Montfort) Rosenblad of rural Desmet, ID; bonus daughter, Dianna (Paul) Wright; grandchildren, Christian (Tabitha) Rosenblad, Rebekah (Dustin) Morris, Zane Zielke, Jonathan (Shelly) Rogers, Sarah (David) Roush, Ruth Rogers, and Benjamin Rogers; and great-grandchildren, Cash, Scout, Bren, Arlo, Eleazar, Michelle, Katherine, Tyler, Andrew, Hannah, Isaac, Azaria, Jude, Noah, Abraham, and Benjamin.

Coila married Otis Darrell Keen in Trousdale and had 3 children together. She later married John "Jack" Leslie Fitzsimmons on August 15, 1976 in Trousdale. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1998. Coila graduated Trousdale High School in 1955. She was a member of Cunningham Methodist Church, Cairo EHU, Cunningham Garden Club and Haviland Medicine Valley Club. She enjoyed gardening, playing pool and attending her grandchildren's school activites. She was an avid seamstress and photographer and entered many of her pieces in the county fairs and Kansas State Fair. She was an avid gardener but also enjoyed volunteering with the Senior Center in Pratt, crafting, tatting lace, playing cards with her girl friends and spending time with grandchildren whether it be babysitting or attending their activities. She is survived by daughters, Dana Murphey of Ellinwood and Heather Murphey of Cunningham; sister, Delores (Marion "Bud") Sloan of Joplin, Missouri; grandchildren, Ian Murphey Hosler of Ellinwood and Marlow Murphey Hosler of Manhattan. Betty (Schwartz) Dick, aged 89 of Newton, died peacefully on June 12, 2022 at Presbyterian Manor in Newton. Betty was born on Oct. 8, 1932, in Ulysses, to Milton and Sadie (Wedel) Schwartz.&nbsp; 

She grew up on the family homestead just outside Pretty Prairie. She graduated from Pretty Prairie High School, then earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organ from Bethel College in 1954. &nbsp;As she was the only trained organist in the church, Betty was instrumental — together with her Uncle “Pete Shorty” Schwartz — in acquiring and installing the first pipe organ in the First Mennonite Church in Pretty Prairie. She was the first church organist and served in that role for many years. Family lore says that once the organ was installed and Betty played at its dedication, Uncle Pete Shorty said, “Now I can die happy since we have the organ.” The church is located on land the Schwartz family homesteaded in 1884. While at Bethel, Betty met and married her husband, Arthur Dick, M.D., in 1954 and was active in theater at Bethel and performed Handel’s&nbsp;Messiah&nbsp;on Organ on more than one occasion.

Betty taught music in various schools around central Kansas, then moved to Baltimore, Maryland when Art served in the U.S. Army at Edgewood Arsenal.&nbsp; During the posting, Betty taught elementary school music and served as the base’s chapel organist. The couple remained in Maryland for Art to complete his medical degree at the University of Maryland Medical School, moving to the Kansas suburbs of Kansas City in 1965 when Art began his medical internship at the University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City, Kansas, where he later joined the Department of Neurology faculty. &nbsp;Betty stayed busy raising the couple’s two daughters, Amy (Dick) Morgan and Julie (Dick) Sparks, both born in the late 1960s. Betty also led children’s choir at Village Presbyterian Church.

Betty lived most of her adult life on 68th&nbsp;Street in Prairie Village, moving only to Newton four years ago when her younger daughter, Julie’s, husband, Jeff Sparks, accepted the position as Pastor of Newton’s St. Luke Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Betty loved her family, music, art, cats, sunflowers, and most of all. children. She taught pre-school for decades – retiring only when she had reached 80. She started teaching in the early 1970s at Ward Parkway Presbyterian Preschool, spent a year teaching a music and art appreciation class for her grandsons, then taught preschool close to another decade at Colonial Presbyterian Church, the congregation she joined in the late 1980s. Generations of children can now read, write, sing and follow instructions due to her dedication and talents.

Betty was known to remember her friends’ and family members’ birthdays and special occasions with thoughtful, handwritten cards. She loved attending church and sharing fellowship with other women at Bible studies. Everyone was captivated by Betty’s bright smile and infectious laugh.

Betty was preceded in death by her father, Milton, and her mother, Sadie (Wedel). She is survived by her husband, Arthur Dick, M.D.; daughters Julie (Dick) Sparks (Jeff) of Newton; Amy (Dick) Morgan (Steve), of San Antonio; and two grandsons in Texas, Michael Morgan and Jack Morgan; as well as sisters Teresa (Schwartz) Zielke of Newton, Edna Ruth (Schwartz) Kemp of Pretty Prairie, and brother Jerold Schwartz of Denver.

Family lore says that once the organ was installed and Betty played at its dedication, Uncle Pete Shorty said, “Now I can die happy since we have the organ.” The church is located on land the Schwartz family homesteaded in 1884. While at Bethel, Betty met and married her husband, Arthur Dick, M.D., in 1954 and was active in theater at Bethel and performed Handel’s&nbsp;Messiah&nbsp;on Organ on more than one occasion.Betty taught music in various schools around central Kansas, then moved to Baltimore, Maryland when Art served in the U.S. Army at Edgewood Arsenal.&nbsp; During the posting, Betty taught elementary school music and served as the base’s chapel organist. The couple remained in Maryland for Art to complete his medical degree at the University of Maryland Medical School, moving to the Kansas suburbs of Kansas City in 1965 when Art began his medical internship at the University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City, Kansas, where he later joined the Department of Neurology faculty. &nbsp;Betty stayed busy raising the couple’s two daughters, Amy (Dick) Morgan and Julie (Dick) Sparks, both born in the late 1960s. Betty also led children’s choir at Village Presbyterian Church.Betty lived most of her adult life on 68th&nbsp;Street in Prairie Village, moving only to Newton four years ago when her younger daughter, Julie’s, husband, Jeff Sparks, accepted the position as Pastor of Newton’s St. Luke Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Betty loved her family, music, art, cats, sunflowers, and most of all. children. She taught pre-school for decades – retiring only when she had reached 80. She started teaching in the early 1970s at Ward Parkway Presbyterian Preschool, spent a year teaching a music and art appreciation class for her grandsons, then taught preschool close to another decade at Colonial Presbyterian Church, the congregation she joined in the late 1980s. Generations of children can now read, write, sing and follow instructions due to her dedication and talents.Betty was known to remember her friends’ and family members’ birthdays and special occasions with thoughtful, handwritten cards. She loved attending church and sharing fellowship with other women at Bible studies. Everyone was captivated by Betty’s bright smile and infectious laugh.Betty was preceded in death by her father, Milton, and her mother, Sadie (Wedel). He was born February 6, 1921 in Edmond (Norton County) Kansas to Henry and Lola Mae (Snow) Reid on February 12, 1940 he married Shirley Dean and she preceded him death in 2001.

Gene worked for the United States Post Office and was the assistant golf pro at the Hesston Municipal Golf Course.

He served his county in the United States Army during WW II and was promoted to the rank of Second Lieutenant.

Golf was an important part of Gene’s life being self-taught from the age of 11. He learned many important life lessons on the golf course.&nbsp; As important as golf was, his family was his most important treasure. He greatly enjoyed his time with his family and friends. &nbsp;He especially loved his “greats” as he called all his grandchildren and treasured every story and moment, he could spend with them.

Harold and Shirley loved music and spent many evenings dancing to the Big Band’s and country music, his favorite the Sons of the Pioneers.

He was a longtime active member of the Trinity Heights United Methodist Church in Newton; Past Master of the Newton Masonic Lodge #142 and a bowling group for seniors at the Eastgate Lanes in Newton.

He is survived by his daughter Patricia D. (Tim) Timmons; and son Daryl G. (Aleda) Reid; sister-in-law Betty Jo Reid; and sister Ruth Ann Blackwell. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 step grandsons, 19 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley, daughter Dana Joy Sartain, brother Robert L Reid, nephew Vance G. Reid.

Wilma Lee (Ashley) Brisco, 84, of Wichita, Kansas went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 10, 2022, after a few years with challenging health, but always keeping her sense of humor.

Wilma was born on September 19, 1937, to Geneva (Breece) and J. Earl Ashley in Harrison, Arkansas. After Wilma graduated from Bergman High in 1955, she married the love of her life, Billie Joe Brisco on May 14, 1955, and had just celebrated their 67th&nbsp;anniversary.&nbsp; When Bill was recently thanked for setting a good example of faithfulness, love, and commitment, Bill said, “I made a promise to take care of her 67 years ago and that never ends.”

Wilma was predeceased by her parents, and sister, Joyce Earlene. She is survived by her husband, Bill, sister, Shirley Moon (Harrison, AR), sons Martin (Christine) of Wichita, Brad (Mischele) of Treasure Island, FL, daughter, Stacey (Ryan) Anderson of Lawrence, and 7 grandchildren (Nathan, Hannah, and Abigail Brisco, Joshua, Caleb, and Chloe Brisco, and Ashlee Anderson).

Larry L. Betsworth, 84, of Wichita, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.&nbsp; He was born in LeMars, Iowa to Leo Jacob and Amelia (Reker) Betsworth. After college, Larry was in engineering and drafting at Boeing Aircraft where he retired after 35 years of service.&nbsp;

He enjoyed years of showing and attending car shows. It is something he shared and passed down in his family.&nbsp; Yet his greatest love was spending time with his family.

Larry is survived by his wife Dee Betsworth, daughter Tresa Betsworth, son Mike Betsworth, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and friends.

Michael Ray “Mike” Kenney passed from this earth peacefully in his sleep on June 9, 2022, in Edmond, Oklahoma, after a short battle with heart disease and dementia.

Mike, the youngest of four children, was born and raised in McPherson, Kansas to Don and Pearl Kenney. &nbsp;After a stint in the United States Air Force as a young man, he returned to McPherson and to raise his family and start a career.&nbsp;

Mike’s career with the McPherson Fire Department spanned over 20 years. After his retirement from the fire department, he worked for several years for the McPherson school system in janitorial services.&nbsp;&nbsp;

After retirement, Mike moved to Wichita, Kansas to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren.&nbsp; The last few years of his life took him to Edmond, Oklahoma to be close to his son and grandchildren.&nbsp;

Mike loved his grandchildren, and enjoyed visiting with them and telling them stories about his time in the military and fire department. &nbsp;An avid fan of military history, he liked to spend his time learning about World War II, as well as watching movies starring his favorite actor, John Wayne. His faith was extremely important to him and during his life he attended the First Baptist Church of McPherson, the McPherson Church of Christ in McPherson, and the Memorial Road Church of Christ in Edmond.

Known as Dad, Papa, and Grandpa, he loved story telling, and was known for his “Mikeisms,” always having little sayings to enhance just about every situation. He deeply loved and was so proud of his family and what they had accomplished in their lives.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Mike was preceded in death by his mother Pearl, father Don, sister Shirley, and brothers Jerry and Kenneth. &nbsp;He is survived by his son Jeremy Kenney and wife Amanda of Edmond, Oklahoma; his daughter Calleen Green of Overland Park, Kansas; and his grandchildren Derek Kenney of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lauren Myers of Denver, Colorado, Isaac Green of Wichita, Kansas, and Noah Kenney of Edmond, Oklahoma.

Born August 8, 1960 to C. Rankin &amp; Darlene Fisher.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Delp Fisher, his parents C. Rankin &amp; Darlene Fisher and his brother David Jones.

He is survived by his sister Sharee Werner (Doug) of Ramona California and his brother R. Rankin Fisher of St. John Kansas.

Private services were held with full military honors June 12, 2022 at Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John Kansas.

Robert “Bob” Vincent Grey was born July 20, 1930, in Langdon, to Gordon V. and Vivian

Williams Grey and passed away June 11, 2022, at Kingman.

The family moved to Kingman in sixth grade and Bob joined the National Guard his Junior year.

In 1949, he graduated from KHS.&nbsp; In 1951, he married LaVerne Brooks and was married for seventy-one years.&nbsp; She survives.

He was also a part-time bus driver for Kingman schools; a volunteer firefighter for fourteen years.&nbsp; Bob was owner of Phillips 66 at the corner of Main and U.S. 54 for several years with Elton Long until selling out in 1966.&nbsp; After a stint with Morton Feed and then a parts salesman and wrecker driver for Bob Gorham Motors.

In 1970, he bought Western Auto, became President of the Chamber of Commerce and Treasurer of the Kingman Christian Church.&nbsp; In 1977, he purchased G&amp;G Grocery on North Main and in 1981 he sold all and moved to Texas for a year upon returning to Kingman.

He worked for Food-4-Less and Food Barn and retired working for Whites IGA.

Survived by his wife; daughter Marja and her husband David Dickard; son Lonnie; sister Carol Ravenstein.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Colleen, Joyce, Shirley; and brother Bill.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Kingman Christian Church.&nbsp; The family will receive friends on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Livingston Funeral Home.&nbsp; Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Nancy’s life began on July 1, 1960, in Junction City. She was the daughter of Frank T. and JoAnn (Hansen) Shope. 

Nancy was a 1978 graduate of White City (Rural Vista) High School. She worked for the IGA now Barnes Grocery in Herington as a cook and baker for many years and loved to bake. Nancy enjoyed sewing and watching old westerns on TV. She was an avid music lover and enjoyed her family. 

Her loving family includes her mother JoAnn Shope of White City; children Richard Yarbrough of White City, Tanya Egbert of Council Grove, and Brenda (Jeremy) Domme of Topeka; grandchildren Samantha and Harmony; siblings Charles (Vickie) Shope of White City, Karen Clark of Lawton, OK, Calvin (Gina) Shope of Manhattan and several nieces and nephews. Nancy passed away on Sunday June 12, 2022, at Morris County Hospital in Council Grove. She is preceded in death by her father Frank and brother Carl Shope. 

Her family will gather with friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Junction City. Nancy will be laid to rest in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, White City.&nbsp;

Her loving family includes her mother JoAnn Shope of White City; children Richard Yarbrough of White City, Tanya Egbert of Council Grove, and Brenda (Jeremy) Domme of Topeka; grandchildren Samantha and Harmony; siblings Charles (Vickie) Shope of White City, Karen Clark of Lawton, OK, Calvin (Gina) Shope of Manhattan and several nieces and nephews. Nancy passed away on Sunday June 12, 2022, at Morris County Hospital in Council Grove. She is preceded in death by her father Frank and brother Carl Shope. Her family will gather with friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Junction City. Nancy will be laid to rest in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, White City.&nbsp;

Susie F. Bontrager-Swank, 70, of Peabody, passed away June 10, 2022, at Peabody Health &amp; Rehabilitation.&nbsp; She was born July 15, 1951, in Reno County the daughter of Freddie and Treva (Knepp) Yoder.

She married Larry D. Bontrager on April 30, 1970, in Haven, KS. They later separated.

Survivors include her four children, Melvern Bontrager of Welda, Marlene Hittle and her husband Brent of Harveyville, Yvonne Yoder and her husband Clayton of Pretty Prairie, and Larry L. “Sonny” Bontrager, Jr. and his wife Rachel of Garnett; sister, Ada Borntrager, Hutchinson; brothers, Leon Yoder (Barbara), South Hutchinson, Samuel Yoder (Kaye), Bremen, Indiana; brother-in-law, Harry Wayne Bontrager, Haven; and five grandchildren, Bailey and Brandon Hittle and Nikki, Amie and Sierra Yoder.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Edith Bontrager; two brothers, Loyd Yoder and Freddie Yoder, Jr.; brother-in-law, Eli A. Borntrager; and two nephews.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2022, at Maranatha Church, 3115 Blanchard Rd. SW, Hutchinson.&nbsp; Burial will follow in the church cemetery.&nbsp; Family will greet friends Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Maranatha Church.&nbsp;

Wilma Lee (Ashley) Brisco, 84, of Wichita, Kansas went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 10, 2022, after a few years with challenging health, but always keeping her sense of humor.Wilma was born on September 19, 1937, to Geneva (Breece) and J. Earl Ashley in Harrison, Arkansas. After Wilma graduated from Bergman High in 1955, she married the love of her life, Billie Joe Brisco on May 14, 1955, and had just celebrated their 67th&nbsp;anniversary.&nbsp; When Bill was recently thanked for setting a good example of faithfulness, love, and commitment, Bill said, “I made a promise to take care of her 67 years ago and that never ends.”Wilma was predeceased by her parents, and sister, Joyce Earlene.
