Phillip David Tyner, 63, of Newton, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.&nbsp; He was born December 20, 1958 in Marion, the son of Charles and Darlene (Roberts) Tyner.

Phillip graduated from Newton High School with the class of 1977.

He was united in marriage to Vivian Ann Weldon on July 21, 1984 in Newton.&nbsp; She survives of the home.

Phillip worked as an aircraft mechanic for Webco Aircraft at the Newton Airport for 30 years.

He was a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church in Newton.&nbsp; Phillip enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle.

He is also survived by his son, Phillip David Charles Tyner (Holly) of Newton; daughters, Cassie Tyner of Wichita, and Heather Tyner of Newton; three grandchildren, Jacob, Curtis and William Potter; one great-granddaughter, Addilyn; three brothers, Marty Tyner of Newton, Morris "Mo" Tyner of Wichita, and Tom Tyner of Missouri; and sister, Tresea (Mike) Bailey of McPherson.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2022 at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 1124 W 1st Street, Newton.&nbsp; Family will meet with friends following the service.&nbsp;&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kevin Holland.

Sandra Lee Vandeveer passed away on June 7, 2022, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, in the company of her family. Sandy had been in long term care at MLMH since January 2016, after suffering a series of strokes. For the majority of her days in long term care, Jack would join her for supper and spend the evening visiting. Sandy was born on December 20, 1934, to Curtis and Mildred (Toombs) Schiff at their farm home in rural Medicine Lodge. Sandy was the oldest of the five Schiff children. She attended school through eighth grade at the Walstead country school, then attended high school in Medicine Lodge. She was valedictorian of the class of 1952. She and Jack dated through high school, and they married in Medicine Lodge on June 2, 1953. Jack was serving in the U.S. Air Force at Shepard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX, and Jack and Sandy lived there until early 1954; at that time, the Air Force transferred Jack to French Morocco, and Sandy returned to Barber County. When Jack completed his military duty and returned home in early 1955, Jack and Sandy moved to the farm southwest of Sharon where they spent the next 61 years farming and raising their family before Sandy entered long term care. She and Jack were married for more than 67 years before Jack passed away in January of 2021. Four children were born to Jack and Sandy: Lance, Monte, Stacey, and Steffany. Jack and Sandy were avid supporters of their children in school activities and never missed a ball game, track meet, school play, concert or event. In later years, they often traveled to see their children and grandchildren for holidays, ballgames, or just to visit. During the years while the kids were still at home, Sandy was a busy homemaker. She regularly had a large vegetable garden each summer, and she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was also an avid seamstress, sewing everything from underwear and nightgowns to dress clothes for her kids. In later years she took up quilting and produced numerous quilts prized by family and others. After Steffany (the youngest), entered the 8th grade, Sandy began working at the Barber County Farm Service Agency (USDA) office, initially as a substitute employee in the late 1980’s but soon becoming a permanent staff member. She retired from the FSA office in the early 2000’s. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Jack and her sister Donna Rowe. Survivors include: Lance and Karmen Vandeveer, of Sharon; Monte Vandeveer of Lee’s Summit, MO; Stacey and Kerry Regier of Forgan, OK; Steffany and Brian Hill of Thompson Station, TN; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley McDaniel and Sue Marshall of Medicine Lodge; and brother Tom Schiff of Pratt. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge 67104. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, with Pastor Tom Walters officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.

Percy L. Toews, 77, of Inman, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, surrounded by family at the Moundridge Manor, Moundridge. He was a retired farmer and also had worked at McPherson Area Solid Waste Utility and Kit Manufacturing.

Percy was born on April 26, 1945, in McPherson, the son of A.R. “Abe” and Ruby M. (Ensz) Toews.&nbsp; On July 7, 1968, he was united in marriage to Irene Nikkel at the Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Inman.

Survivors include: his wife, Irene; four sons, Jerrold (Julie) Toews of Inman, KS, Les (Dinah) Toews of Windom, Matthew (Ilana) Toews of Hydro, OK, and Carlyle (Joni) Toews of McPherson; three brothers, Harry (Luella) Toews of Barron, WI, Robert (Diane) Toews of Windom, and Randy (Dianne) Toews of McPherson; four sisters, Marilyn (Clayton) Schmidt of Buhl, ID, Alice (Kenneth) Ensz of Sutherland, NE, Ruth (LaVern) Nikkel of Inman, and Deanna (Richard) Ensz of Windom; stepmother-in-law, Delma Nikkel of Moundridge; a brother-in-law, William Wadel of Murray, KY; and 16 grandchildren.

Raul “Rudy” Martinez, 89, of Chase, Kansas, passed away June 8, 2022, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. 

He was born August 31, 1932, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Jose and Juanita Martinez. Rudy has resided in Chase for the past 54 years. He worked in the oil field as an operator for many years. 

On March 17, 1952, Rudy was united in marriage with Francisca Perez in San Antonio, Texas. Rudy is survived by his wife, Francisca of Chase, KS; three sons, Luis Martinez of Chase, Raul Martinez Jr. of Lyons, and Lasaro Martinez Sr. of Lyons; four daughters, Beatrice Olson of Lyons, Janie Werner of Lyons, Sally Lopez of Lyons, and Mary Lopez of Topeka; two sisters, Lupe Martinez and Margarita Rodrate; eighteen grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Juanita Martinez; brother, Francisco Martinez; and three sisters, Victoria Martinez, Angelita Cabazo, and Maria Gonzales.

Matthew attended Hutchinson High School. He was working as a package handler for UPS. Matthew loved skateboarding; it was his favorite past time. He also enjoyed music, especially rap and Johnny Cash. Matthew was known for his sense of humor by friends and family. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Matthew is survived by: mother, Melissa Crafton, Hutchinson; father, Joseph Torrez Sr., Hutchinson; siblings, Joseph Torrez Jr., Jessica Phillips, Mary Torrez (Chris Biswell), Marcus Torrez, Alec Torrez, Trinity Torrez, Abigail Torrez, Rebeka Torrez, Eva Torrez, Julian Torrez, Nicholas Torrez; nieces, Eloise Biswell, Lyla and Mya Phillips; grandmother, Louise Wagner; grandfather, Frank Torrez; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Lloyd Wolf, 80, died June 1, 2022, at Diversicare, Sedgwick, KS.&nbsp; He was born August 16, 1941, in Colby, to Willard and Alice (Weber) Wolf.

He attended Colby High School.&nbsp; Lloyd worked in sales for Farmland Industries for many years and then sold metal buildings for other companies. Lloyd was an avid golfer and enjoyed RVing in his later years.&nbsp; He loved his family. Lloyd’s favorite pastime was spending time with his family.

On May 19, 1962, he married Karen Kay McBride, in Colby. They shared 60 years together.&nbsp;&nbsp;

He is survived by:&nbsp; wife, Karen, Hutchinson; sons, Craig (Beth) Wolf, Hutchinson, and Todd (Carol) Wolf, Inman; grandchildren, MariBeth (Dustin) Jackson, Windom, Mitchell Wolf, Lawrence, and Kylie (Garrett) Weems, Coupeville, WA; step-grandchildren, Kristine (Matt) Krivensky, Elizabethtown, KY, and Stephanie (Jason) Moen, Inman; five great-grandchildren, Maddilynn, Colton, Cayson, Larkin, and Wyatt; and step- great-grandchildren, Dominic, Kaleb, Allison, and Natalia.

Lloyd Wolf  |1941-2022|  

Sharon Lynch Kimbell, 86, passed away June 2, 2022, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS.&nbsp; She was born March 25, 1936, in Salina, to Bryan and Phyllis (Hamilton) Lynch.

After graduating from Salina High School, she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1958 from the University of Kansas.&nbsp; She was a loyal member of the university’s Pi Beta Phi Sorority and lifetime member of Grace Episcopal Church, Hutchinson, KS.

On April 29, 1961, Sharon married Charles Edward Kimbell, in Salina. They shared nearly 55 years of marriage, prior to his death on April 21, 2016.

Sharon lived a full life. She loved traveling, golfing, playing Bridge at the Art Center or at home with her Bridge group, and attending KU Football and Basketball games. She was ever-present in her children’s lives and was an extra-special ‘Gram’ to her three grandchildren. Sharon created and maintained friendships across the country from all walks of life. Preferring to make a difference behind the scenes, she gave endlessly while rarely expecting anything in return. She, along with her husband, were recognized benefactors of the University of Kansas and the Williams Educational Fund, as well as their beloved community of Hutchinson.

She is survived by:&nbsp; her children, Michael (Michelle) Kimbell of Mission Hills, and Kay (Dan) Almanza of Lawrence, KS; grandchildren, Fischer (fiancée, Jaden Butcher) Almanza, Ellen Almanza, and Jackson Kimbell; and several extended family members.

Sharon was preceded in death by:&nbsp; her parents; husband; and brother, Bryan H. Lynch.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Grace Episcopal Church, 2 Hyde Park Drive, Hutchinson, with The Reverend Dr. J. Ted Blakley officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in the church’s columbarium.&nbsp; Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.

Sharon Lynch Kimbell, 86, passed away June 2, 2022, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS.&nbsp; She was born March 25, 1936, in Salina, to Bryan and Phyllis (Hamilton) Lynch.After graduating from Salina High School, she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1958 from the University of Kansas.&nbsp; She was a loyal member of the university’s Pi Beta Phi Sorority and lifetime member of Grace Episcopal Church, Hutchinson, KS.On April 29, 1961, Sharon married Charles Edward Kimbell, in Salina. They shared nearly 55 years of marriage, prior to his death on April 21, 2016.Sharon lived a full life. She loved traveling, golfing, playing Bridge at the Art Center or at home with her Bridge group, and attending KU Football and Basketball games. She was ever-present in her children’s lives and was an extra-special ‘Gram’ to her three grandchildren. Sharon created and maintained friendships across the country from all walks of life. Preferring to make a difference behind the scenes, she gave endlessly while rarely expecting anything in return. She, along with her husband, were recognized benefactors of the University of Kansas and the Williams Educational Fund, as well as their beloved community of Hutchinson.She is survived by:&nbsp; her children, Michael (Michelle) Kimbell of Mission Hills, and Kay (Dan) Almanza of Lawrence, KS; grandchildren, Fischer (fiancée, Jaden Butcher) Almanza, Ellen Almanza, and Jackson Kimbell; and several extended family members.Sharon was preceded in death by:&nbsp; her parents; husband; and brother, Bryan H. Larry passed away in his home after a long battle with cancer.

Larry married Claudine Woodall on October 25,1963. They shared almost 59 wonderful years together.

Preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Ted Richardson. Son Larry Dale Corkins and daughter Rebecca Lynn Bone. Siblings Faye Clark, May Oxenreider, Marie Clark, Gary Corkins, Jerry Corkins and Bobby Corkins. Sister-in-Law Dixie Long.

Survived by his wife Claudine Corkins and daughter Candie Higginbotham (Tony) of Leavenworth.

Retired from the Kansas State Fair after 24 years of service. Was a retired member of the Hutchinson Noon Lions Club. Member of the Buhler High School Class of 1960.

Larry loved to “fix” things. Loved western movies and watching MASH. He was a big John Wayne fan. Crafted miniature covered wagons and stagecoaches for his grandchildren.

Playing cards and dice games with friends and family was something Larry and Claudine enjoyed together their entire marriage.

Holidays and family gatherings were important to Larry. He looked forward to the fun, the love, the hugs and leftovers.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life at the Sand Hills Event Center in Hutchinson, KS will be held June 25th at 11:30 am.

He preceded her in death on November 23, 1997. Billie was a school teacher for 42 years and graduated from Oklahoma State University. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, the Pilot Club, KNEA and the Silver Hair Legislature. He enjoyed years of showing and attending car shows. It is something he shared and passed down in his family.&nbsp; Yet his greatest love was spending time with his family.

Larry is survived by his wife Dee Betsworth, daughter Tresa Betsworth, son Mike Betsworth, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and friends.

Wesley Joseph “Wes” Shultis, 38, of Marquette passed away , surrounded by his family, Saturday, June 4, 2022 at home in Marquette.  Wesley was born August 27, 1983 in Colorado Springs, CO to Allen Shultis  and the late Kari Swanson.  

Wes was a high school graduate and worked as a mechanic and machinist in the local area.  Wes enjoyed family, friends, fun, and fireworks.  Those that knew and loved Wes knew that he was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.  If there was anything he loved more than the Cowboys, it was his children, Kaison and Elise.  They were and forever will be his pride and joy.

Survivors include his daughter: Elise Shultis; son: Kaison Shultis; father Allen Shultis (Candy); second parents: Chris and Lori Alstatt; brother: Cody Alstatt (Heidi) of Wichita, KS; sisters: Chendra Mitchell (Brian) of Marquette; Karissa Hoffman (Asbjorn) of McPherson; Caitlin Arbuckle (Kyle) of Marquette; Noell Alstatt of Marquette; and Bree Miller (Garett) of McPherson; grandparents: Leon and Donna Swanson; as well as 8 nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

on September 22nd, 1955, in McPherson.

Mom was the second of four
children born to Art and Helen Regehr, her older sister Kathleen and two

of Inman, farming and running a prosperous hog business.

Nursing was Mom’s calling in
life, and after high school, she attended Hesston College to pursue her degree.
Upon graduation, she took a position at a mountain hospital in Pikeville,
Kentucky, where she met Gary Kendrick; in 1978 they were united in marriage and
settled back home in Kansas. Three children were blessed to Debbie &amp; Gary:
Joshua Douglas (Allison), Ashley Paige and Molly Rashel (Tyler). Their lineage
produced ten grandchildren: Clayton, Colton, Kaleb, Harper, Hudson, Harlow,
Halston, Perry, Sutton and Garrytt.

She is preceded in death by
her parents and is survived by her siblings, children and grandchildren.

Mom passed away on June 6, 2022, after a brief but mighty
fight with brain cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Antoinella Garcia;
son-in-law Antonio Castro and all of her siblings (3 brothers and 5 sisters). 
She is survived by a son, Jesse (Hutchinson); daughters, Rosemary Castro
(Wichita), Mary (Steve) Navarro (Dan) Antonio, TX; five grandchildren; Rosie
Ackerson, John Paul Castro, Teresa Castro, Michael Navarro, and Anthony
(Brianna) Navarro; four great grandchildren, JC (Christine) Caldwell, Tony
Caldwell, Gianna and Josiah Navarro, and 1 great - great granddaughter, Chanel

Robin was born on August 24, 1980, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Gilbert “Gil” and Dessie “Sally” (Bird) Bolson.&nbsp; She was a past member of the United Methodist Church, Haviland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gil and Sally Bolson, and two brothers, Carl Hutson, Sr., and Jimmy Hutson, paternal grandparents, Howard and Eula Bolson and maternal grandparents, Carl and Lucille (Story) Bird. Billy Utah “Bill” Bearden, 88, died June 6, 2022, at Sedgwick Plaza Assisted Living in Wichita. He was born April 27, 1934, in Poughkeepsie, AR, to William A. and Estie D. (Harrison) Bearden.

Bill graduated from Ash Flat, AR, High School in 1952. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954-1966, the United States Naval Reserve, and the Kansas Army National Guard from 1981-1994. Bill graduated from Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, TX, in 1968,and served as a minister in the Church of Christ for many years. He worked for Kansas Power and Light from 1971 until retirement in 1999. He then served as a chaplain for Kansas Prison Ministries and was selected Kansas Volunteer of the Year. Bill was a member of IBEW, American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68, and National Rifle Association.

On January 30, 1956, he married Katherine Marie Severin at Walker Air Force Base, Roswell, NM. They shared 62 years of marriage before her death on November 18, 2018.

Bill is survived by: his children, David Bearden (Mary) of Greeley, CO; Joseph Bearden (Thuy) of Wichita;, Cindy Carr (Thomas) of Andover; grandchildren, Travis Bearden (Desi), Amber Rhea (Brandon), Dustin Bearden (Amanda Roberts), Billy S. Carol received her GED from Hutchinson Community College in 1968. On September 5, 1961, she married Robert Earl Cox in Lyons. He died on May 28, 1995. Carol was a member of the Fireman's Auxiliary while Robert was a fireman. Carol worked in the cafeteria at Allen Grade School and Sherman Jr. High; she worked at Caldwell Greenhouse and also worked at Walmart as a cashier and in the pharmacy. Carol loved animals and plants, worked as a volunteer for Grief Support Network, and in the 1980's she made homemade Care Bears.

Carol is survived by: son, Steve Cox (Kelley Munden); daughter, Kimberly Cox; grandchildren, Micheal Smith (Megan), Ryan Smith (Traci), Katherine Schott (Michael), Allison Fischer and Stefani Voorhees; great-grandchildren, Gabe Jackson, Brennan Schott, and Lyric Smith; sister, Connie Suhler; brothers, Paul and Cecil Swenson.

Marilyn’s life began on August 30, 1929, in Wamego. She is the daughter of William Levi Fields and Alice M. Thompson Fields. 

Marilyn was a graduate of JP Elder High School in Fort Worth, TX. She started at Glass Containers, now Anchor Glass in Antioch, CA as a sweeper and retired after 30 years as a beloved supervisor for the Hot End. She worked and contributed her time to the Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics and Allied Workers International Union. Marilyn had been a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Marion for many years. She made many friends and helped many more people in her life that can be said here. She will always be remembered fondly. She spent her spare time gardening, playing cards, bingo, making quilts, fishing, and travelling. 

Marilyn is survived by her grandchildren Mary Bacon of Warrenton, OR; Chuck Kenney of Hillsboro; Josh Kenney of New Zealand, Jake Kenney of Wichita; Daniel Kenney of Kansas City; Katrina Maltbie of Sacramento, CA, Brian Briggs and Mike Purdue of Antioch, CA; and Heather Tabor of Pennsylvania, 17 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Marilyn passed away on June 2, 2022, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She is preceded in death by her parents, four children Ellison Benfer, Randall Maltbie, Jimmie Maltbie, and Rita Maltbie and one grandson James Maltbie.

Thomas "Tom" Gene Wenrich, 63, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Pratt Health and Rehab. He was born on April 21, 1959 in Pratt to Joseph "Bud" John and Mary Agnes (Engel) Wenrich. Tom married Sherry (Stippich) Wenrich on January 22, 1983 in Wichita. They were married for 39 years. Tom graduated from Pratt High School in 1977. He attended Pratt Community College. Tom held several jobs throughout his life including a drill bit salesman, liquor store owner, service station owner, EMT, volunteer fire and rescue, and real estate agent and broker. He enjoyed fishing, camping and riding his Harley. He loved to show how much he appreciated family and friends through grilling, smoking and preparing meals. When his kids were young he was coach to them and their friends in their rec league sports. He was active in Jaycee’s and American Legion Riders. He is survived by his wife, Sherry; daughter, Lori (Curt) Thomas of Wichita; son, Brian (Kristen) Wenrich of Houston, Texas; brothers, Jim (Tammy) Wenrich of Pratt, Dave Wenrich of Topeka and Ron Wenrich of Wichita; sister, Sue (Ed) Corriston of Wichita; granddaughters, Rileigh and Kinsley Wenrich; four nieces; and eight nephews. Ronald Lee Hoagland, rancher and life-long Barber County, resident, died in Pratt, Kansas on June 3, 2022 at the age of 81.

Ronnie was born July 22, 1940 in Medicine Lodge, to Eva Darlene Morehead and Raymond Harold “Bill” Hoagland. He was raised on the family place north of Sun City with his siblings, Richard “Dick” and Deloris “Dee Dee”, and spent considerable time with his grandparents, Cliff and Bernice (Lott) Hoagland, on their ranch south of Lake City.

He was married to Judith Sue Thornton for 62 years and they raised four daughters, Marsha Ann, Kimberly Kay, Laura Diane, and Rhonda Sue. Surviving are his wife, Judy; daughters, Marsha Hoagland, Kim and Roger Fowles, Diane and Norman Johnson, and Rhonda and Robert Gabriel; sister, Deloris “Dee Dee” Freeman (Doug); sister-in-law, Janice Hoagland; grandchildren, Landon Fowles (Amy), Alexandra Koch, Abigaile Harris (Miles), Taylor Wheelock, Austin Wheelock, Blayze Scott, and Phinn Scott; great-grandchildren, Cooper Harris, Molly Harris, and Orion Fowles; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Richard “Dick” and Clifford, and son-in-law, Jay Scott.

Ronnie spent the majority of his time at his ranch south of Lake City. In addition to raising cattle, he spent considerable effort developing water sources, improving fencing, eradicating cedar trees, and improving the grasslands, as well as operating a sawmill for many years. One of his most significant improvements was the development of a 40-acre watershed for a water source and flood control, as well as recreational opportunities. The Barber County Conservation District recognized his lifetime of conversation activities by awarding him the Grassland Award in 2018. When he wasn’t working he could be found hunting, fishing, and filling the numerous deer feeders on the ranch. He was a prolific reader and was never without a book. He accepted Jesus Christ as his savior in the early 1970s and was a member of the Sun City Baptist Church.

A private family memorial service will be held at the Hoagland ranch on Saturday, June 11, 2022.

Raymon (Ray) Warren Compton, 87, passed away June 2, 2022 in Pratt. He was born on February 2, 1935 in Hugoton, to Gilbert Russel Compton and Thelma Mary (Cain) Compton.

Raymon married Vera Marie Stone on January 8, 1955 in Sun City. She preceded him in death on May 22, 2018. He was an active and devout member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pratt. Raymon loved to watch his grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities, along with driving and enjoying God’s beauty.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon (Gary) Ward of Pratt; son, Joe Compton of Pratt; grandchildren, Elisa (Rene) VanDaalen of Lenexa, Jodi (Lance) Roe of Norcatur, April Ward of Pratt and Jayme (Nick) Borah of Norfolk, Virginia. There are 11 great-grandchildren. Raymon is preceded in death by his wife, Vera Marie (Stone) Compton; his parents; brothers, Lester, Dalton, and Dick; and sister, Mary Dell Lake.

She preceded him in death on May 22, 2018. He was an active and devout member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pratt. Raymon loved to watch his grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities, along with driving and enjoying God’s beauty. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon (Gary) Ward of Pratt; son, Joe Compton of Pratt; grandchildren, Elisa (Rene) VanDaalen of Lenexa, Jodi (Lance) Roe of Norcatur, April Ward of Pratt and Jayme (Nick) Borah of Norfolk, Virginia. There are 11 great-grandchildren. Raymon is preceded in death by his wife, Vera Marie (Stone) Compton; his parents; brothers, Lester, Dalton, and Dick; and sister, Mary Dell Lake. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 10458. Hwy 54, Pratt with Pastor John Kissell presiding. Inurnment will be at a later date at Lake City Cemetery, Lake City.&nbsp;

Tammy’s life began on April 5, 1968, in Abilene. She was the daughter of Larry Lauxman and Wanda (Jennings) Turner. 

Tammy was a 1986 graduate of Hope High School. She was employed by Legacy of Herington in the laundry department for many years. She enjoyed painting ceramics and her favorite quote she put on her social media page was “Love The Way You Want To Be Loved.” 

Tammy’s loving family includes her mother Wanda Turner of Hope, siblings Tonya Johnson of Hope, Aaron (Tina) Lauxman of Hope, Larry Lauxman, Jr. of Hope, and Toni (Marc) Riffel of Woodbine, step brothers Ron (Teri) Turner of Scott City, and Glen Turner of Scott City; nieces and nephews Colby (Dea) Riffel, Kylie Riffel, Cody (Shyanne) Riffel, Alissa (Tyler) Emery, and Brian Lauxman; and six great nieces and nephews. 

Tammy passed away on Sunday June 5, 2022, at Salina Regional Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her father Larry Lauxman, Sr., and stepfather Clayton Turner. 

Her family will gather with friends on Saturday June 11, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Hope Cemetery for her graveside memorial service led by Pastor Gary Schrader. Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington is serving the family.&nbsp;
