
Lela Elizabeth “Betty” Galloway, 89, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Longleaf Bee Cave, Bee Cave, TX.
Betty was born on August 17, 1935, in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of Kenneth Jack and Helen (Epperson) Anderson. On October 15, 1988, she married E. Dexter Galloway in Lawrence, KS. They shared 20 years of marriage before Dexter passed way in 2008.
Betty graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1953. She worked for Avco Financial Services as a manager and retired after 20 years of service. She was the past President of Heart of Kansas Quilt Guild and the past President of Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America at Emanuel Lutheran Church. She attended and was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dexter Galloway; sister, Jacquelyn Blackwelder; brother, Jack Anderson; granddaughter, Jennifer Spall; and a son-in-law, Matthew Lee.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Melissa Lee and Kim (Joseph) Heinen; a son, Scott (Susie) Evans; eight grandchildren, Marci (Russell) Colliau,, Kirsten (James) Spall, Kyle (Britni) Evans, Alissa (Davis) Tilford, Anna Munn, Travis (Cailie) Evans, Paul (Vanessa) Heinen and Callie Evans; nine great grandchildren, Lauren Colliau, Ryan Colliau, Riley Colliau, Robert Spore, Kierra Simmons, Knox Cutter, Cal Tilford, Demi Evans and Wes Tilford.
