
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson city sales tax revenue got the 2022 year off to a good start.
According to numbers released on Wednesday, the city’s sales tax revenue totaled $1,387,052, an increase of nearly $167,000 over the same month last year.
Other entities within the city also benefited from the strong numbers. The Cosmosphere received $54,328 from the ¼ cent sales tax that is in place. Strataca received $8,231, the city’s infrastructure fund took in just over $77,000 and the property tax relief arm of the fund totaled $24,649.
The sales tax total for January reflects shopping trends for the month of November.
