
Restorative Aide/CNA Day, Full Time
Description The Restorative Aide provides direct restorative and personal care to the residents of Hester Living Center and Thorne Living Center. Duties are performed in accordance with recognized standards, the laws of Kansas and the Mission Statement of The Wesley.
Summary of Responsibilities
Job duties can include any task that helps the resident attain or maintain the highest possible functional ability and that falls within the scope of practice for the Restorative Aide and CNA.
Carry out physical activity programs to maintain residents’ current level of skills and help them learn new skills as assigned by the Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Speech Therapist and as directed by the Director of Nursing.
Prepare the resident and administer treatments, including assisting with personal care.
Facilitate the restorative dining program as outlined by the Occupational Therapist.
Facilitate the speech therapy program as outlined by the Speech Therapist.
Adjust and fit supportive and assistive devices for residents as instructed by the Physical Therapist and directed by their supervisor.
Qualifications
Must have current Kansas CNA certification and one year of experience.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Must be capable of understanding and following oral and written instructions.
Ability to communicate with team members and residents.
Positive attitude toward the ill and the elderly.
