Betty J. Harmony, 97, died January 20, 2025, at Legend of Hutchinson. She was born November 24, 1927, in Medford, OK, to Peter and Marie (Pauls) Androes.
Betty graduated from Berean Academy, Newton, and Adela Hale Business College. She was the office manager and accountant for Harmony Cleaning Services for over 45 years. Betty enjoyed being outside in nature; spending time gardening, sitting on her patio watching birds and camping at Kanopolis Lake. Betty’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Union Valley Bible Church, Hutchinson.
On September 5, 1952, she married Charles E. Harmony, in Hutchinson. They shared over 63 years of marriage prior to his death on June 16, 2016.
Betty is survived by: children, Beverly Harmony, Kenny Harmony, Charles (Lora) Harmony, all of Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Willard (Kathleen) Androes, Melba Langenegger and Mary Lou (Robert) Schmidt.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; son, Richard Harmony; stepdaughter, Janice Shelley; sister, Dorothy Foust; and brothers, Leslie Androes and Paul Androes.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2025, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Steve Hodgson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and Monday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends from noon until service time, Monday, January 27, 2025 from noon to 1:00 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary.
