HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Board of County Commissioners will be asked on Wednesday to approve a change to the fire response in the county, putting the land that was annexed into the City of Hutchinson identified as the K-96 Kimball Industrial Park formally into the city's fire jurisdiction and out of Rural Fire District 8.
The land is adjacent to K-96 across the highway from Crupper's Corner. The purpose of the annexation this past December was to be able to offer this property as a potential place for industry along K-96.
The Board of County Commissioners meets Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the Veterans Room of the Reno County Courthouse.
