OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. — A Hutchinson woman was killed and another man was injured in a single-vehicle accident in Mississippi on Tuesday.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol identified the victim as 35-year-old Cynthia Teeter. MHP says Teeter was a passenger in a car driven by 28-year-old Aaron Corkill, also of Hutchinson.
Reports say Corkill was going east on I-22 near the I-269 interchange when his SUV left the road and struck a bridge pillar.
Teeter was pronounced dead at the scene. Corkill was transported by EMS to Region One Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee. He’s listed in serious condition. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
The accident happened around 11 a.m. about five miles south of Olive Branch, Mississippi, or about 40 miles southeast of Memphis.
