Ranea Henderson, 69, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born April 15, 1954 in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of Buren and Edith (Davidson) Risley.
Ranea graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1972 and worked Underground Vaults and Storage as an accounts manager for over 20 years. Ranea loved caring for animals. She recently was learning how to knit and crochet from some of her friends. She attended and was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ.
On January 2, 1998, Ranea married Michael Henderson at First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson. He passed away on February 13, 2023.
Ranea is survived by her sons, Ryan Corkins of Lawrence, KS, and Brett (Celia) Corkins of Kansas City, MO; granddaughter, Natalia Corkins; brothers, Terry (Sandy) Risley of Viera, FL, and Jeff (Monica) Risley of Springhill, FL; sister, Cheryl (John) Laughary of Wichita, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael; and a son, Jeremy Bankey.
Per Ranea’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice House or Eastwood Church of Christ for India and Africa Missions and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS 67502.
