Myron Edward Young, 76 years old, died on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. He was born November 2, 1949, in Winfield, KS, to Loy and Alta Mae (Pitt) Young.

In 1968, Myron graduated from Nickerson High School. A lifelong resident of Hutchinson, he dedicated his career to the jewelry industry, owning and operating Young’s Jewelry for many years and working at several local jewelry stores throughout his career.

Myron proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during his military service. On his down time, Myron enjoyed golfing and riding motorcycles.

He married Judith Young and later divorced in 1988. On October 16, 1993, he married Brenda Joy Ebersole in Hutchinson. They shared over 27 years of marriage, prior to her death on February 2, 2021.

Myron is survived by: two sons from his previous marriage, Cole (Lisa) Young of Frisco, TX, and Troy Young of Turon, KS; grandchildren, Lily, Cate, Anna, and Cinch Young; sisters, Tauni (Bruce) Moorman of Overland Park, KS, Teresa Gates of Spring Hill, KS, and Janet (Greg) Teague of Hutchinson, KS; and many wonderful friends that Myron considered family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Young and his parents, Loy and Alta Mae Young.

Cremation has taken place. A come and go celebration of life will take place at Gambino’s Pizza, 310 S Main South Hutchinson, Friday, September 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice House, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
