
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Sheriff's Office said that they and the Hutchinson Police Department have worked together on a case involving fentanyl distribution for the last two months that resulted in arrests this week.
On Wednesday, April 10, a traffic stop was made on a vehicle occupied by Andrew Ward and Realiti Dawn Courson. A search of the vehicle was completed, and a warrant was obtained for Ward's residence in Hutchinson.
Found during the search were the following items: fentanyl pills, cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia items for distribution and consumption.
Both individuals were arrested for distribution of fentanyl, possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, and possession of paraphernalia to ingest.
The person(s) involved have not yet been convicted of a crime and are presumed innocent. The presumption of innocence shall continue until such time that the person(s) accused may be found guilty by a court of law. Charges may be amended at the discretion of the District Attorney and Court.
