Kingman Co. deputy injured after crash during chase

KINGMAN COUNTY —A Kansas sheriff's deputy was injured in an accident just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in Kingman County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2023 Dodge Durango driven by Kingman County Sheriff's Deputy Logan Richard Self, 33, Maize, was northbound in the 2700 Block of Main Street in Kingman, actively trying to catch up in a pursuit with emergency equipment activated.

The SUV slid thru intersection, struck a ditch and rolled. EMS transported Self to Wesley Medical Center for treatment of a minor injury. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
