Clifford K. Schmidt, 85, of Kinsley, KS, passed away peacefully December 14, 2023 at Hospice House in Hutchinson. He was born on March 9, 1938 in Reno County, KS, the son of Eldo and Esther (Kroeker) Schmidt.
He graduated from Buhler High School. He was a member of Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church.
Clifford was united in marriage to Shirley R. Friesen on June 6, 1959 at Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church.
Clifford was a farmer and feed mill manager for many years in Syracuse and Kinsley, KS.
Clifford is survived by daughter, Bonnie (Doug) Franz of Buhler; son, Kenneth Schmidt of Kinsley; grandchildren, Julie (Tim) Mathias of Hutchinson, Stephanie (Brendan) Isaacson of Buhler, Brian Franz of Buhler, Ashley (Paul) Alvarez of Coldwater, Michelle (Jason) Hartung of Hutchinson, Jeffrey (Lynnea) Schmidt of McPherson, Laken Schmidt of Wichita; and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brother Gary and his son, Gregory.
A private family service will be held with burial at Hoffnungsau Cemetery, Inman, KS.
