CENTRAL CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS

Central Christian School is excited to announce the appointment of two new leaders who will join the CCS community beginning in the summer of 2026. Mrs. Kelly McClure has been selected as the next Elementary Principal, and Mr. Nate Holmes has been selected as the next Secondary Principal. Both leaders bring a strong commitment to Christ-centered education, student growth, and building meaningful relationships with families, staff, and students.

Mrs. McClure joins CCS with extensive experience in early childhood and elementary education, leadership, and family support services. She currently serves with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment for Reno and Harvey Counties as a Licensing Specialist for Early Childhood Programs. Her professional background also includes serving as a Student-Family Advocate, Director and Lead Teacher for Head Start in Lyons, and several years as an elementary educator in both Kansas and Texas.

Throughout her career, Mrs. McClure has demonstrated a passion for nurturing children academically, emotionally, and spiritually while leading with grace and compassion. She holds a Master of Education in Building Leadership from Baker University, a Master of Education in Trauma and Resilience in Education and Curriculum from Concordia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Wichita State University.

Mrs. McClure and her husband, Robert, live in Lyons, Kansas, where they are raising their children and attending Crosspoint Church.

“I am honored and excited to join the CCS community, integrate faith into learning, and serve alongside an incredible team while building meaningful relationships with our families and students,” shared Mrs. McClure.

Mr. Holmes brings a strong background in academic leadership, classroom instruction, student support, and coaching. He currently serves as the Academic Coordinator at Lawrence Gardner High School in Topeka, Kansas, where he oversees academic scheduling, transcript evaluation, enrollment tracking, and graduation compliance while partnering closely with students, families, teachers, and administrators.

His experience also includes teaching physical education and social studies, as well as serving in academic roles at Blue Valley-Randolph and Hoxie High School. Across each role, Mr. Holmes has demonstrated a heart for students, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to helping students succeed both academically and personally. He also brings valuable coaching experience at both the junior high and senior high levels.

Mr. Holmes is currently completing a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Emporia State University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies from Central Christian College and an associate’s degree from Butler Community College. He is also a proud graduate of Berean Academy in Elbing, Kansas.

“I am truly excited to step into the role of Secondary Principal at Central Christian School and to serve this community with a heart that is centered on Christ,” said Mr. Holmes. “I believe God has opened this door with purpose, and I am eager to follow His leading in this new season. It is a joy to join a school committed to honoring Him in all things, and I look forward to what He will accomplish through our work at CCS next year.”

Mr. Holmes and his wife, Shela, are excited to move to Hutchinson and are expecting their first child in August.

“We are excited about this next season of educational leadership,” said Dr. John Walker. “It is a joy to work with leaders who combine relational strength with missional conviction.”

Central Christian School is grateful for God’s provision in bringing these two outstanding leaders to CCS. Mrs. McClure and Mr. Holmes each bring unique gifts, experiences, and a shared desire to partner with families in educating, equipping, and edifying students to exalt the name of Jesus Christ.

Please join us in warmly welcoming the McClure and Holmes families to the CCS community.
