Reno Co. COVID cases jump by more than 200 in single day

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — For the first time in just over three weeks the number of active COVID cases increased day over day. 

As of Tuesday morning the number of active COVID cases jumped by 55 to 297. The last time the number of cases increased day over day was December 12. At that time the county had 654 active cases.

The total number of cases increased by more than 200 since Monday with 13,318 cases. It is the largest single day increase since the pandemic began.

Currently there are 18 county residents hospitalized. The death toll from the virus remains at 187.
