TOPEKA, Kan. — Governor Laura Kelly announced appointments to state boards and commissions on Tuesday. Two Hutchinson residents were appointed.
Chrisi Reif-Fuhrman was reappointed to the State Rehabilitation Council. The objectives of the State Rehabilitation Council of Kansas are to:
Build partnerships among people with disabilities, employers, service providers and advocacy organizations
Build a spirit of trust and partnership between the Council and the agency
Reach out to people with disabilities and employers throughout the state
Hear and respond to input from people with disabilities and other stakeholders
Carry out the state's responsibilities under the Rehabilitation Act
Dawn Veh, administrator at Mennonite Friendship Communities in South Hutchinson, was named to the Board of Adult Care Home Administrators. Their task is to establish and uphold regulations for licensing adult care home administrators. Veh is from Hutchinson.
