
Dorothy J. Perry, 82, of Buhler, Kansas, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
She was born on January 16, 1941 in Inman, Kansas, the daughter of Abe and Clara (Janzen) Peters. She graduated from Buhler High School. Dorothy was united in marriage to Richard Allen Perry on September 20, 1958. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1978.
Dorothy worked as an assembly builder for Cessna Eaton for 37.5 years. She later worked at Pleasantview Home in Inman as a dietary aide for 14 years. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion in Hutchinson. Dorothy enjoyed spending time travelling stateside and overseas with her very close friend, Candi. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, James (Donita) Perry of Buhler, and Roxanna “Roxie” Logsdon of Hutchinson; five grandchildren, Chelsey (Chad) Duvall, Cloé (Ross) Kroenke, Colby Crank, Brylie (Chris) Ryan, and Will Perry (Kalie O’Neal); six great-grandchildren, Holley, Steele and Dylan Duvall, Camden Kroenke, and Amzie and Atley Ryan; sister, Irma Waken of Cleveland, OH; and very close friend, Candi Stewart of Hutchinson.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two children Kimberly Bengston and Roger Perry; sister, Rosella Hammar and her husband, Arlie; and brother-in-law, Joseph Waken.
Cremation is planned with memorial services to be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2023 at Buhler United Methodist Church. Private family burial will take place at Buhler Municipal Cemetery.
