NEWTON, Kan. — The house at 1023 N. Main in Newton is scheduled to be moved Wednesday to 2101 N. Main in North Newton.
Portions of Main Street will be blocked and have slow-moving traffic for about an hour, beginning at 9 a.m.
Newton Police will assist with traffic control in Newton, and North Newton Police will block Main Street at 23rd Street.
Drivers should plan an alternative route or plan for delays. Evergy anticipates some potential electric outages along the route while lines are disconnected during the move. They will be notifying the affected properties.
