COMANCHE COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 6 p.m. Friday in Comanche County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Toyota Tundra driven by Douglas W. Hensiek, 63 of Nashville, Kansas, was westbound on U.S. 160 fifteen miles east of U.S. 160 and U.S. 183 junction.
The pickup left the roadway to the right, struck a bridge rail, rolled over a barbed wire fence and came to rest in the north ditch.
Hensiek was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
