
Cody Grantlin Jackson, age 43, passed away August 7, 2025 in Boulder, Colorado, with family and close friends at his bedside.
He was born December 3, 1981 in Hutchinson, Kansas to John and Dana Bonham Jackson. He graduated from Nickerson high school, university of Kansas in Lawrence, and received a masters degree in clinical mental health from Naropa university in Boulder. He worked as a licensed therapist until his diagnosis of a glioblastoma brain tumor in March 2025.
He lived life to the fullest, the last 12 years in Boulder, where he found a community of amazing friends. He loved music and dancing, traveling and hiking, and the practices of yoga and meditation. He loved his family and his friends.
He was preceded in death by his father John, his grandparents, Orville and Jean Bonham, Betty Owen, and Bill Jackson, and his uncle Greg Jackson.
He is survived by his mother Dana Bonham Jackson in Lawrence, Kansas, siblings Kate Jackson Singogo of Asheville, North Carolina, Amy Rueschhoff Ballinger (Rick) of Kansas City, Kansas, Jason Rueschhoff (Jen) of Lawrence, Kansas, and many extended family members: aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and a whole community of friends in Boulder.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial to celebrate Cody‘s beautiful life will be held at a later date in Boulder. He will be greatly missed by many.
