ANDOVER, Kan. — ASM Global, the world’s leading producer of entertainment experiences, venue management and event strategy, has appointed Kathryn Ewing as amphitheater director of Capitol Federal Amphitheater®.

Ewing brings more than 15 years of event-management and operations experience to Capitol Federal Amphitheater. Prior to joining ASM Global, Ewing served as the director of events for Wichita Festivals, Inc. (WFI) and earlier in her career, as the company’s director of operations. In these roles, Kathryn oversaw budgets and logistics for entertainment, food and beverage and operational components of WFI’s events, and managed more than 50 operational volunteers annually.

In her new role as amphitheater director, Ewing will manage day-to-day operations at the venue, including overall management, booking, promotion and operation of the facility. Additionally, Ewing will have oversight of contracted security, food and beverage operations, marketing, box office, emergency and crisis management and more.

“We are hitting the ground running here at the venue and bringing in someone of Kathryn’s caliber is the first step in an aggressive strategy to provide a top-notch experience to all of our guests,” said A.J. Boleski, regional general manager, ASM Global. “Kathryn has invaluable industry expertise and experience that we are confident will help bring Capitol Federal Amphitheater® to the next level.”

"I am excited to take on the role of amphitheater director at Capitol Federal Amphitheater®,” said Ewing. “The amphitheater is the focal point for entertainment and community engagement in Andover, and I look forward to the exciting events and new opportunities we can bring to this the venue and the City of Andover.”

Capitol Federal Amphitheater® joined ASM Global’s worldwide network of more than 350 stadiums, arenas, convention centers and theaters in January 2024. The company’s growing portfolio of amphitheaters includes The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles; the much-anticipated Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale, Missouri; Champions Square in New Orleans; Pinewood Bowl Theater in Lincoln, Nebraska; and more.
