DICKINSON COUNTY –  On Monday, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Herington man on a warrant, according to a media release from the agency.

Russell L. Thomas, 61, of Herington, was arrested on requested charges that include three counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, and misdemeanor battery.

The arrest occurred at 9:50 a.m. at 434 Union Road in Herington, Kansas, according to the KBI. Thomas is a middle school science teacher at Herington USD 487, according to the district web site.
