HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a fire in a home that was being remodeled on Wednesday afternoon.
The department was called at 4:39 p.m. Wednesday to 409 West 6th, where they found a single-story home with heavy fire showing from the side of the home along with fire coming from the roof area.
Fire crews first went defensive to knock the main fire down on the exterior before transitioning to an interior fire attack.
HFD remained on scene for some time overhauling the structure ensuring that the fire was under control. No injuries were noted.
The fire remains under investigation by the Hutchinson Fire Marshal.
