
David Hollingsworth born September 16th, 1960, to Donald and Myrth (Theede) Hollingsworth, passed away on Tuesday, November 7th, surrounded by his family.
David graduated in the class of 1979 from Nickerson High School. David moved to Ponca City Oklahoma in the fall of 1979, where he met his best friend and future wife of 40 years, Betty. They were married on April 30th, 1984 in Ark City, Kansas, later to move back to Hutchinson with his new bride.
David was a successful Drywall Tradesman for over 35 years and owned his own business. David was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed weekend floats with friends and family on many of the waterways through Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. The love of the outdoors came from his many years of being involved in Scouting with which he was very passionate about, being an Eagle Scout a Scout Master. Above all things his family was the most important.
David is survived by Wife Betty, Sons Justin, Kyle (Rayna) Hollingsworth, grandchildren, Dyllan,Tyler, Jamen, and Mason, brothers, Marshall (Annette) and Doug Hollingsworth, sister, Marilyn (Sam) Davis, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
David was preceded in death by both his parents, his sister Monica Hendershot, and his daughter-in-law, Joni (Montano) Hollingsworth.

In lieu of flowers, any memorials can be made out to the family in care of Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 18th, at Park Place Christian Church, 2600 N Adams, Hutchinson, KS. A visitation with the family will be from 1-2pm, with the service starting at 2:00pm. Reception with refreshments to follow.
