Patricia L. Sands, 85, of Hutchinson, passed away peacefully November 22, 2022, at Hospice House of Reno County after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born September 24, 1937, in Burdett, the daughter of Everett and Opal (Epley) Ruby.
A longtime resident of Hutchinson, Pattie graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1955. She was employed at various Hutchinson stores, including Peel’s Beauty Supply. Pattie was a long-time member of Hope Church (previously Believers Tabernacle and First Assembly of God) in Hutchinson and loved her church family.
Pattie married Douglas Sands on June 25, 1960. He died May 19, 2014.
She is survived by: her children, LaDena Sands Dosdall (Gerald) of Wichita, Michael Sands (Sharon) of Lorain, OH; grandchildren, Bethany Newell (Cliff), Lindsey Long (Grant), Elizabeth Henry (Matt), Wesley Dosdall (Caitlin); great-grandchildren, Gianna, Zevulun, Luke, Logan, Clayton; sister, Kay Bergen-Potts; niece, Barbara Bergen Whitmore; and nephew, Marc Bergen (Teri).
Pattie was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Steve, Joe, and Greg Ruby.
Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Hope Church, 1701 N. Main, Hutchinson, with Pastors Bobby Massey and Kendall Sheats officiating. Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, with the family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
