JACKSON COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 8:30a.m. Wednesday in Jackson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2021 Kenworth Cement Truck driven by a 61-year-old Lee's Summit man was southbound on Lefholz Road at McQuerry. The vehicle traveled off the road overturned and struck a utility pole. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
