Mildred L. Suderman-Leeper, 91, of Buhler, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community. She was born on December 2, 1932 in Newton, Kansas, to Mildor and Frieda (Schwartz) Frey.
She graduated from Newton High School and later attended Hutchinson Community College.
Mildred was united in marriage to Richard E. Suderman on May 23, 1952. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2008. She later married Erwin E. Leeper on April 18, 2015. He passed away February 10, 2024.
She was a devoted homemaker and dairy farmer with her husband, Richard. After Richard and Mildred sold the farm, she worked as a manager of boys wear at Sears.
She worked for Colladay Hardware as a bookkeeper and later worked in Estee Lauder in Dillards.
Mildred was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church in Inman, where she was choir director and accompanist. She also did some Sunday School teaching.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Raymond) Friesen of Inman, Debra (Stephen) Carty of Inman, and Deann Wiggers of Nashville, TN; three grandchildren, Brett (Jill) Wiens, Tara (Nate) Oswald, Brandon Wiggers (fiancé, Amber DeLaCruz); grandson-in-law, Justin Osborn; six great-grandchildren, Cade, Cole, Corynn, and Cambry Osborn, and Tryn and Bree Oswald; and sister, Darlene Goering of Moundridge.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Richard Suderman and Erwin Leeper; granddaughter, Danae Osborn; and brother, Kenneth Frey.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the Bethel Mennonite Church, Inman. The services will be livestreamed at www.bethelinman.org.
Family will greet friends from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22 at the church.
