HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hospice & Homecare of Reno County is once again offering a program for young children who are grieving the loss of a loved one. The “Space to Grieve” Kids Kamp is for children 6-17 years of age to provide some coping skills.

This is the agency’s seventh year of hosting Kids Kamp with the Cosmosphere. The one-day event will be held Saturday, July 16, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Cosmosphere.

Any child who has experienced the death of a family member, friend, or other significant person in their life can attend, free of charge, thanks to funding provided by United Way of Reno County as well as local civic clubs and merchants. The day is filled with a combination of activities for children to process their grief alongside peers who share similar experiences. The Cosmosphere instructors also provide interactive activities for participants throughout the day.

Slots are limited. For more information, call Hospice & Homecare at 620-665-2473.
