HARVEY COUNTY — The Harvey County Road and Bridge Department’s hot mix asphalt overlay program for 2024 will begin Monday.
The project is scheduled to begin on West Dutch Avenue, starting at North Halstead Road and progressing toward the Hesston city limit.
Following that, work will move to Northwest 36th Street, from Harvey County West Park eastward toward North Halstead Road.
Roadways will remain open to traffic during the project. Traffic will be controlled and directed by flaggers and a pilot car. Residents will continue to have access to their properties throughout the overlay program, although delays may be possible.
The work will be completed by Pearson Construction. The overlay program is anticipated to be fulfilled in 35 working days, contingent on weather.
