Hutchinson Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire philanthropy, collaboration and innovative leadership to strengthen communities across Reno County. Since 1989, the foundation has granted more than $93 million to organizations.
“Grants from Hutchinson Community Foundation’s Fund for Reno County support the important work of Reno County nonprofit organizations, and we are proud to help make this special experience at the Kansas State Fair possible for area Bigs and Littles and help them build strong relationships,” said Sarah Blake, Hutchinson Community Foundation program officer.
Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters strives to provide matches with low- to no-cost activities. This is accomplished through generous community partners.
“I’ve taken my Little to the fair for the past four years, and we both enjoy and look forward to this outing when it comes around," said Alyssa Danler, Big Sister and match support specialist at the organization. "Having some of the expenses covered gives us more opportunities as a match during this time of year, and it allows us to build even more memories that I know will be cherished by the both of us for a long time."
