HUTCHINSON, Kan. — If all goes as planned and the weather cooperates, the mill and overlay portion of the North Main Street project could begin as early as next week.
Jeff Peterson with Hutchinson Public Works says they could see work start soon with the milling taking place as soon as next week and the overlay to follow.
The work will force the closing of one or two lanes of traffic. Peterson says some other concrete work and other touchups will continue for another 30 days or so once the paving is finished. The completion of this phase will bring an end to a four-year-long renovation of Main from 30th Avenue south to 5th Avenue.
Peterson hopes to announce the exact dates for the resurfacing work by the end of the week. If you have any questions about this or any other street project, contact Hutchinson Public Works at 620-694-1900.
