
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The last time the Dragons were held to 75 points, they lost.
That 90-75 defeat came at Cloud County just two games ago.
Saturday night in the Sports Arena, No. 9 Hutchinson (8-2, 2-2) found itself down by five after leading the contest by eight.
An And-1 on a three-ball from Jackson Leyba put Hutchinson up 44-42 at halftime.
The second half belonged to No. 21 Barton (7-2, 2-1).
The Cougars got a big night from big man Joseph Locandro. He scored 21 of his total 30 points in the first half. Locandro posted a double-double with 11 rebounds.
Three other Cougars scored in double figures (Cougar Downing 24, Hannes Saar 11, Cooper Jackson 11).
Saar also had a double-double with 10 rebounds.
Powered by 48 paint points and 18 fast break points, Barton opened its lead to 26 as Hutchinson went on a 2:16 drought.

Hutchinson has scored just 75 twice this season and lost both times.
The Dragons are 8-0 when scoring 99-plus points.
Led by Aaron Franklin's 17, four Dragons scored in double digits.
Barton outrebounded Hutchinson 51-35.
Hutchinson shot just 66 times, its lowest attempt total of the season (averaging nearly 95 attempts in eight wins).
The Dragons led for only 7:46.
